We made the mistake of staying somewhere else for 2 days prior. This place is amazing. Staff is very friendly, they have free showers. We were in the back tucked away in the trees and we LOVED it. Camp spaces were a great size. Will be returning for our next trip!

Stayed here with family during our first trip to the redwoods. We stayed in cabin 3. While the cabin is cute, it is very small. It had basic amenities which was good. The bathroom is like a closet, there’s only one couch so sitting on the dining table benches or bringing in a patio chair is the only other option you have. The couch was also very outdated, covered in dog hair (we don’t have a dog) and the hide a bed in it was uncomfortable. I didn’t think I’d wake up sore at 31 years old from a hide a bed. The floors were dirty. My mom’s feet were brown from walking barefoot on the wood floor (we hadn’t gone anywhere else before checking in) so we wore shoes/socks at all times during the rest of our stay. It is a very small cabin so I don’t recommend big families stay in them. There were 5 of us and even that was too many people. If you have a hard time doing stairs beware of the ones that go up to the bed in the loft area they’re very steep. Maybe I’d stay here again I’d just try to be more prepared. it was a cheap roof over our heads.

Great place to stay if you are visiting the Red Woods. The location is perfect. An added bonus is actual redwood trees in the campsite.

The park was exactly what we needed. It was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, quiet and in the beautiful trees. We are definitely coming back next year this same time reserving (2) sites and bringing our children and grandchildren up with us.

my family and I stayed there the weekend of labor day of 2024. my wife had called and emailed them letting them know that we where bring a boat with us and the lady she talked to Said that would be no problem we where allowed two vehicles. sunday we came back from fishing unhooked the boat and my family went the beach. my father stayed at camp to sleep about an hour later the host came and very rudely woke my father up and told him the boat had to get out of the spot it was parked and we had to pay a 10$ extra fee. plus park our boat in there over flow parking next to 101. after confronting him he lied about waking my father up stated the visitors pack states boats are not cars and cost a extra fee. it does not say anything about boats on the website or visitors packet. to top off a rude camp host who wanted to make us feel like we where in the wrong when we where not. with proof of e mail with no response back and a phone call stating we where fine to have our boat in our site. the camp host put is a group of 5 with 3 large dogs into a site that was made for one small tent and a small car. the camp in improperly managed. I will never Recommend them to anybody. I will not consider these guys for my next trip.

The campsite itself is great. Unfortunately they charged me double and are not willing to refund my money. Booking was made online but it wouldn't confirm my booking and kept giving error messages so after trying 4 times I thought it just wouldn't accept a group of 3 so I exited and logged back on to book 2 + 1 space for 3 nights as it wasn't accepting my group booking for 3 spaces for 3 nights. After we got there and I checked my credit card I had been charged $793 for 3 spaces for 3 nights plus 2 spaces for 3 nights @$531 (which they refuse to refund) and also charged for $274 for 1 space for 3 nights. So the total cost for 3 spaces for 3 nights cost me around $1600!!!

Would like to give a higher review but unfortunately, Ramblin’ Redwoods Campground doesn’t see the importance of meeting the terms of their campsite agreement. Specifically, we made two reservations, both paying an additional $20 site lock fee to reserve a specific site. When we arrived after office hours, we were assigned a different site, which we later found out was due to an electrical issue in the sites we reserved. This is understandable and most likely unavoidable. However, the issue is with the campground refunding the $40 we paid. I spoke with two employees on two separate days during our stay and was told that they would speak to their manager and he could refund the $. This didn’t happen. In fact, I’ve called twice since we left and have not received a return call or a refund. Very poor customer service and questionable business ethics. Do better, Ramblin’ Redwood.

Nice "redwoods state park" feel with RV park amenities. Friendly helpful staff. The park grounds are very clean and location is a short drive to restaurants, things to do, etc. Very pretty location with nice cool, crisp air without all the fog. We only had two concerns about returning. The first is how fast everyone was driving and stirring up dust (despite speed limit signs). The second is the restroom facilities. The building is old, damp, and moldy. The shower booths are in same room as toilets and only have plastic curtains. It gets very "dank" in there. The bathrooms are VERY busy.

Very peaceful, relaxing experience. We stayed August 17 - 20, 2024. We came in after the office was closed, and a welcome packet was waiting for us, with a map to where our campsite was. The grounds are well maintained, and the trees majestic. We camp a lot, and understand coming into an RV park is different than boondocking, so yes, there are others camping next to you. Some sites are more private feeling while others can be more open. We felt very safe while we camped 🏕 here. The campground seemed full for the weekend. I was really surprised by how quiet it was for being so full. The trees must absorb the sounds. For full hookup, close to the beach, Crescent City & Oregon, it's a great location. Pro-tip: Check out Pelican Beach, right behind the California bug station off 101

After 8 years of going here each year, this was our last. The park is nice and shaded, but that is about it. It has changed ownership several times and never gets improved. The laundry is cold water only and now many full hookup sites have no sewer. There is no usable WIFI or cable. They rarely if at all, answer their phones. One employee was playing on his phone while the phone was ringing. The BIG change for me is that they no longer allow you to pick your site. You can only reserve a type of site and they assign you whatever they have. Some sites are flooded and you just have to deal with it. Not for me.

Had to pay $59 for a single night of tent camping, with our camping spot being 20 feet from the 101. The noise from the freeway kept us up all night. No campsite should cost that much, even if it's supply and demand.

Stayed here for 3 nights in our RV. Nice spaces that are not packed in right next to each other. Both staff members we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful area and close to explore the ocean or the trees and hiking trails in the area.

The young man working the Office when we arrived was very supportive and accommodating when we showed up without a reservation. My son and his wife had reservations and we did not know when we would be joining them. This campground is very nice and gives a small but good taste of the Red Woods. Who ever that young man was, thank you. You helped our family build or create memories for a lifetime.

Excellent amenities and on site staff support. The sites were clean and accessible for our large trailer. The loud siren from the nearby fire station volunteers weren’t great at 6am but luckily that didn’t happen often. Perfectly located near crescent city and the Redwoods. Our family had a blast here! Would definitely recommend and plan on coming again in the future!

We were so surprised at the site. We thought something different when it said: "displaced". The staff was amazing, the campsite was a special lovers' hideaway that made our little romantic getaway so special and magical. thank you so much for making this time away from our busy lives special. We don't get to spend a lot of time together but this was perfect. We will be back and are spreading the word, to our friends and family about this wonderful place. We are even looking at a full family campout here.
