This was a great place to stay at. The options for cabins are great and the one I choose has a bunk bed and the couch fold out as a bed wich was great. There is bond fire outside wich was great. the location is perfect because there was lots of things to do near.

Our kid goes to Cal Poly Humboldt and we like to travel with our dogs. A lot of the hotels charge an absolute fortune to bring your dogs. We’ve always been campers, so when we saw an RV park with pet friendly cabins, we figured we would give it a try. I was a little hesitant due to some of the recent reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. I think maybe these reviewers are unfamiliar with rv parks. Yes, there are a lot of people who live there in their rvs. The residents we interacted with were friendly as we usually find in RV parks. The park was clean. It doesn’t have the same upkeep as it would have when it was owned by KOA. But, it wasn’t trashy. Comparing it to other RV parks I have stayed in, it wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst and seemed pretty average. The cabin was as expected. Minimalist, but clean. Yes, it was a little smelly, but that is due to the wood shellac and moisture in the air. We opened up both of the windows and got some good cross air ventilation to air it out. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. Bring a couple blankets and your pillows as the blanket provided is thin and pillows are flat and it does get a little chilly at night (which I love). There is a little heater on the wall, so than helped take the chill off when needed. As for the reviewer who mentioned an animal/farm smell? There were chickens behind us. But, I know this because I heard them. I never smelled them. The girl at the front desk was really nice. We caught her right as she was about to go to lunch, but she helped us out with a smile. It is pretty common for smaller, slower RV parks to have one person taking care of the office. Do be careful with your timing thought. Check-in began at 2 which was when she was taking her lunch and the office closes at 6. You still can self-check in, but if you want a person, your best bet is probably after 3 and before 6. Warning: lots of burrs if you have dogs. We will be getting our dogs booties for next time! In summary, if you are used to RV parks, this place is just fine. If you are looking for a hotel with a 24 hour front desk, fancy linens, spotless bathroom and a normal air conditioner/heater, you will likely be disappointed. For us, this will be our go to place when we visit our kid. The price is right, the people are friendly, and there is a place to walk our dogs that feels safer than the areas surrounding the local hotels.

We came up here for our engagement. Staff was very friendly, decorated the cabin with rose, petals roses, and our favorite beverage. When we were low on firewood, they gave us a free bundle to assist us. Definitely coming back beautiful cabins beautiful area. We love you

Stay far away! We stayed there on pictures and well the pictures have to be so old. I thought how fun huge checkers and chess, Mini golf park for my child and the dogs. The hose sprinkler was in that area only and left on for days so it was all flooded and mildewed. Mini golf was flooded since it also was in that area. The dog park was full of dead grass like the rest of the resort tons of poop and fleas. After 2 days of being there both are dogs had fleas, and one had a fox tale in his paw. FYI vet bills are not cheap for this removal and sedation. We called the office one day before going to let them know we should be there by 6:15pm no one answered all day and the next day. While there I personally walked to the office at different times and every time the sign said closed. This park is full of long term residents that had there spots looking so over grown with weeds and one RV the full 4 days we were there was leaking water out the back. I knocked on the door no answer and this is why I was going to the office. I do not normally see water pouring from a RV. I was hoping it wasn’t flooded. The people next to us left after one day because it was so disgusting and dirty. This place is such a missed opportunity of a great place to stay. It is small enough to be redone and revamped.

This has been a great place to stay everytime! The rooms are cozy, plus they have small heaters for when it's cold. The service is so kind and incredibly helpful. The one this that I did notice that did bum me out is that the bathrooms which were spic and span during my last stays was not up to par this time at all!! It was filthy every time I went in

Such a missed opportunity. If this campground was well run/staffed would easily be 4-5 stars. Spent 5 days here during a family reunion. Cabins weren’t nearly as clean as they should have been. Thick coat of dust and spider webs under all the beds. Dog hair all over the blanket in one of the cabins (which makes you worry about the cleanliness of other linens). Pool was dirty and hot tub filthy, water completely the wrong color. Lots of long term residents which leads to a very different vibe vs families camping for the weekend. Homeless people doing their laundry in the bathrooms at 3am. Sprinklers started in an area and then forgotten about by staff for 24 hours, flooding the grass and surrounding area. Worst of all, the communal bathrooms weren’t cleaned THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE!!! At one point 2/3 toilets in the men’s were clogged/destroyed and ignored for days. My brother plunged them and we told the office staff about the issues, they ignored this. Several days later they still hadn’t cleaned or restocked. Out of paper towels for 4/5 days. The entire family cringed every time they had to use the bathroom. Felt dirtier after showers than before. Busy campground bathrooms like this should be cleaned daily. Payed extra for tables, chairs and a grill to use for our gathering. All of this was very dirty as well. The bright sides? Laundry room was decent and kids enjoyed the playground. Won’t stay here again, and can’t recommend it to anyone else.

I have stayed at this campground three times in the past 13 months: once in a rustic cabin, once in a vehicle site, once in a tent site. The campground is cute, clean, in a great location for access to nearby towns, and the campers follow the quiet time policy well. Prices seem fair considering the overall pleasantness of the campground. The one complaint I have is that the women's bathroom was out of hand soap in one dispenser, and the other dispenser did not work, for the past two weekend visits. Additionally, the bathroom appeared to have not been cleaned during my entire stay--garbage was overflowing, toilet paper running out, general cleanliness thoroughly lacking. The bathroom is heated with good lighting, and generally in good appearance. I appreciate access to a real bathroom with showers. I simply wish it was cleaned more regularly and stocked properly, especially since the bathroom is one of the reasons I have chosen this campground.

I ran across this place while I had an unexpected extended stay in Humboldt. The location is great. The staff is amazing. It's been quiet and comfortable. It's also close to both Eureka and Arcata. I had no idea the quality of the dining experiences available in Arcata. I'll definitely be back again!

This place is amazing! You definitely get what you pay for. My partner and I had stayed for about a week back in December to get ready for our baby girl, Jen and all the staff were very helpful and welcoming. There are not many safe places around eureka to van camp, usually we find some free campsites but there really isn't much in the area that seem safe enough to do so. We started with a car campsite which you have electric hook ups and fresh water spigot. Very peaceful place and our two dogs were welcome, we were off season so not many people at all. They even have a small dog area to let them off the leash and run a bit. We couldn't help but notice the adorable cabins they have, so we inquired and have stayed a few nights in the simpler ones. For being away from home for so long the cabins were very comfortable and warm. The heaters in there work amazingly!! Showers are hot, laundry is the cheapest anywhere between eureka and crescent city. We enjoyed ourselves so much we make it a point to stay here every time we have a doctor's appointment. It is a bit more expensive than most places but I guarantee you it is well worth it. And it's much cheaper than even the motel 6. And much safer. I highly recommend Redwood Coastal Cabins and RV park. Jen again is wonderful and so isn't the staff. It's our home away from home. 🖤✌️🔥 Also there cute gift shop is fantasist! So go check them out. !!!!!!! What are you waiting for lol

This place is nothing like what the pictures show. We paid for one night and we slept in our car because our cabin was dirty and smelled so musty I didn't feel safe sleeping in the room. Directly out our cabin window were a bunch of chickens and ducks crammed together in dog kennels at the neighboring business, which may have contributed to the smell. Or maybe it was the huge open trailer full of trash right across from our cabin on the grounds that you can clearly smell as well. The grounds are poorly maintained, the grass is overgrown, there is almost no light to find your way to the bathroom at night, only cold water to wash your hands with, I could go on. Oh, and not a single staff member in sight! Never saw a single person in or around the office our entire stay and didn't talk to anyone. I've never had an experience like this. Won't be back and won't recommend.

Location is horrible and in a very unsafe area of Eureka. Both men and women diets and restrooms in general were disgusting and looked like public restrooms. Not something I expected I was paying for. There's the longterm area of the park where it looks like people live guiltiness full time. People were loud, vehicles coming and going all through the night from one residence, receptacle bins were overflowing, trash on the ground throughout the park, cabins are cute from the outside, but mattress were thin, cobwebs in every corner of the cabin, office was never open to discuss issues, and to top it off our cabin smelled of old stale cigarette smoke. Don't be fooled by the charm of the outside of the cabins. I should have read the reviews of this place before booking. Needs to be shut down and condemned.

Wonderful cabin stay while travelling! We arrived and cabin heater was on and cabin had sheets and bedding, very clean and welcoming after a long drive. Bathrooms and showers and clean and heated. It was raining and end of October so staying in a cabin was a great option as we had been camping previously. Thanks for a great stay we will visit again!

I don't even know what to say. Such a bizarre experience. Last summer we stayed for a few days. I reserved a cabin for few days for this summer. Got the reservation confirmed by email- didn't notice my name was misspelled by one single letter- and stopped in to the office to inquire about paying early. It turned out they gave me a reservation under the wrong name and that I was actually, in fact, banned from the park. What??? They revealed that in their system I was banned due to "pet damages". My service dog did not cause any property damage and the cabin was left clean. I asked if there was any detail about these supposed damages and no, there were not. I asked if there was someone I could speak to as no one had ever contacted me about this issue. The larger blond woman said, "I am the only one" (that I could speak with) and added that I was also banned from shoreline park- which I had never been to. The hold on my credit card is still there. It's only a few dollars but I'm going to cut my losses. Last time we stayed we were prohibited from flushing tp down the toilet and the bathrooms were not clean at all. Also the pool and playground areas were so closely monitored it was a bit uncomfortable being on camera and confronted about a minor rule violation that was quickly righted. Weird staff, pretty unfriendly. There are plenty of other friendlier and more accommodating beautiful cabins and resorts to choose from in Humboldt.

We loved this camp setting! There is plenty of open spaces for family activities and they provide some games like chess, checkers, and golf. The bathrooms have a nice hot shower that never gets cold which is nice after surfing or going to the beach. No homeless or foot traffic either. The office lady is awesome she's super helpful and knows a lot about the area. I will be staying here again. 10/10 recommended!

Hello First I want to say, thank you, a lot... to everybody at this “RV resort” I was spending the last months there and this place has everything you can call a sweet home. Everybody is so polite, chill, organized. The beautiful sunset and sunrises don't have a price. Is pretty close to anything you would need. The community is just lovely and Yuli, the general manager, is simply a wonderful human being... Is an excellent communicator to any in reference with the town. I loved the way how she run this place with this beautiful mood of sweet home sensation. I pretty highlight recommend this place. Impossible to get wrong on this!
