Deluxe Rental Camper

  My Flair Lady is a 29 foot 1997 Flair Motorhome. Parked in campsite 21 she is located on the end of the campground towards the more wooded end of our campground.

As you climb the steps in to the motorhome you find a small chair to the right, straight ahead is a sofa that turns into a bed. If you continue right you will go to the driving area with two captains chairs. Turn left and you will find the galley kitchen equipped with coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, double sink, utensils, dishes, pans and stove. On the left side of the galley is a bench dining area that also turns in to a bed. If you continue in the motorhome you will find a shower/tub combo on the left and behind a door is a private toilet and sink area. Straight on in the rear of the motorhome is a private bedroom with a super comfy queen size bed. Flair is a 1997 motorhome that is not perfect but super cute and functional. There is heat and air conditioning in the motorhome. There is NO SMOKING OR PETS allowed in Flair.

Bed linens or towels are not provided in the base rate. If you wish to have bed linens and towels please check the option for linens. It does have a $15 fee and will provide linens for each bed and towels. All of our mattresses are covered with waterproof bug free mattress covers that are sanitized after each guest. If you wish to bring your own bedding please ensure it is bug free. With the linen option, the main bed of the rental will be made, other bedding will be placed in the rental in a storage bag. YOU MUST HAVE linens on the bed, please DO NOT sleep on the mattress covers. If we have found you are sleeping directly on the mattress covers you may be assessed the $15 linen fee.

NO PETS are allowed in this rental. There is NO SMOKING allowed inside the rental.

What a great place to stay! Right on the bank of the Ohio river. We've been repeat customers for the last couple of years. There's a reason that Sandy Springs is thee top rated get away in the midwest!

I knew I was going to like this place as soon as we got to the cabin...and a big, handsome kitty jumped right up in my lap! He hung out with us for a few days and that was just a cherry on top of our vacation; we loved it here. Nobody bothered us and we didn't bother anyone else. The location is beautiful and even though it rained five days straight (after months of drought 🤬), we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. Hot showers. Good tap water. Didn't catch one fish, which surprised me, but the weather limited our efforts. Next time I'll make up for it lol. The only slight negative I'll give them is that when we cleaned up to leave, we pulled several empty water bottles out from under the bed and 3 full ones. Boo. Weird that some camper would push them waaaay back under the bed instead of simply throwing them away.

Excellent all around. Julie and her entire family are excellent hosts. Sandy Springs has become one of our favorite places to come and relax away from it all but with the convenience of all the amenities offered here. We enjoyed the campsite delivery of store items and the on-site kayak rentals. The host family even offered a ride in their boat which was fantastic and made a very memorable experience. One would be hard pressed to find a better managed or a more beautiful place to camp. We would give 10 stars if it were an option.

We stayed at Sandy Springs Campground on the way through to WV.    First before we got there we were having problems with our roof AC that no one could diagnose until we called to cancel our spot and the owner diagnosed our problem over the phone and we fixed it.  Arrived at the campground that is run by a very nice family and it was so nice.  Nicest campground I have honestly ever stayed at.  The husband and wife were running around the entire time making sure everything was perfect.   So clean and quiet with a great river view.    Would go out of our way to stay again.  Wish I could rate over 5 stars.   Also internet worked great.

Last weekend was our first stay. Won’t be our last! Spectacular water-front sites. A handful of permanent campsites-but not so many that you feel you are invading a clique. Very well maintained: from roads (wide) to sites to community use spaces like playgrounds and shower houses. The area doesn’t have a whole lot to offer-pretty remote. But isn’t that why we camp? Love it and will return.

We found sandy springs online and I really wanted to go catfishing. We rented the river cabin. My husband is not a fisherman and we both had a great time. The view of the boats is amazing. The campground is well taken care of and the owners are super friendly and nice. The river cabin was perfect for the two of us and I love the wrap around porch where I got to enjoy the rain but still sit outside and watch the boats. This is now our second year going and it will definitely  be an every year thing now. We love sandy springs I wish we could go more often!

If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars I would. The views are exactly as described and with the service provided, you can’t find a better place! Most campgrounds are very hands off and not helpful, but the owners checked on us, even opened the camp shop after they had already closed up for the day, and every other camper was extremely kind and nice. We have dogs and always bring our own poop bags, but they had dog stations that provided a place to throw away and with bags! Literally a seamless stay and would recommend this place to anyone who asks!

Sandy Springs is a little jewel tucked away by the Ohio River. I can’t say enough about how the wonderful of a stay we had with them. Clean and quiet with strong internet, which was important to stay in contact with my medical team. The individual bathrooms are clean with showers. 

Beautiful location. Clean, comfortable cabin. We hiked the loop from the trailhead , Rock Run, across the street. Recommended! 

We spent three nights here in Nov 2021 at a site down on the river. Magical. Yes we could hear the train on the other side of the Ohio River and the barges that might go by in the night but this just added to the ambiance. Like a step back in time. Family owned and everyone was very pleasant and helpful. We were n a 30' Motorhome. I highly recommend Sandy Springs Campground.

Went to check this campground out yesterday it was everything we are looking for.  Beautiful river, views clean,well maintained and very friendly owners.  We will definitely be returned to hopefully camp many months.  May be the best kept secret in the area so glad we found it.
