I was so disgusted, at the service. And all the same excuses, that I read in reviews. And now they were saying, the same to me. They don't have, near enough maintenance to keep grass cut. Or to do any weed wacking. Weeds higher then our camper and they don't care. Called office 4 times for leaf piles 3 foot high and lots of trash, left from previous campers. The leaves and high weeds are where snakes burrow from the sun. They had excuses the whole time, we were there. Got a health concern about contaminated water day 3. So we were drinking poison for 3 days. And they didn't say anything, not a word to us. I would have brought water, with us or went to the store as soon as we got there had I known of the problem day 1. Health department needs to crack down, on this place. Before someone is poisoned!!! Connections issues are a true problem. I couldn't get out at all. Ended up paying for a month of wifi. However all the excuses of holidays, coming up and we're getting ready for all the new people showing up. And after the holiday, it was even more excuses. And office lied and said they hadnt made excuses. Till I took my phone up to the office and showed them, all the texts. Then they back tracked! I cut our stay, by a week. Should have left the first day. But I was trying to give them a chance. *** Now the owner will apologize, for the place and service. And will say they take our feedback, serious and under consideration. And that they will communicate with team members. *** This is management's problem, not the workers. The workers are working their butts off. Management, just makes excuses and lies!!!*** And nothing changes. Look back at all the reviews. You will see, all the same complaints and all the same excuses. But nothing changes. ***Thousand trails management company, needs to get a grip on this place.*** Someone is going to get bitten, by a snake or poisoned from the water. And they won't be able to call out, for emergency services! And I'm sure the office will fake concern, and say they care. They don't!!! Look at all, the past reviews!!!

totally fine spot for the price, ive been coming here for years and it never gets old but its also not exactly luxury either the staff is usually pretty chill especially the lady at the front desk who remembers my name after like five visits which I appreciate a lot bathrooms were clean enough but one time the showers had NO hot water for an entire weekend and that was extremely frustrating the views are actually gorgeous in the morning and the spots are spaced out decently so you dont feel like you are on top of your neighbors if they would just upgrade the electrical hookups a bit and keep the water pressure more consistent id probably give it a full five stars

Soledad Canyon is easily one of the most disappointing Thousand Trails campgrounds I’ve visited. The park seems very enthusiastic about charging extra fees. Want to check in a little early? That’s $30. Need the office to accept a package for you? That’s $10 per package. Charging extra fees isn’t necessarily a problem, but after seeing the actual condition of the campground, it’s hard not to wonder where that money is going. The area around the office is clean, well-maintained, and offers beautiful views. Unfortunately, that’s where the good impression ends. Once you drive into the campground, it feels like a completely different place. There is very little grass, many roads and sites are nothing but exposed dirt, and there isn’t enough gravel to keep the dust under control. Every time the wind picks up, dust blows everywhere. We didn’t want to sit outside our RV, and even opening the windows meant dealing with dirt and dust inside. What made the experience even worse was the smell. Large parts of the campground were filled with a persistent manure/sewage odor that was impossible to ignore. It’s not exactly what you expect when you’re trying to relax outdoors. The most frustrating part is that this is a Thousand Trails campground, not some neglected budget RV park. The fees are certainly there, but the campground conditions fall far below expectations. If all you need is a place to park near Los Angeles, this campground may serve that purpose. But if you’re looking for a campground where you can actually enjoy sitting outside, breathing fresh air, and relaxing at your site, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This cabin was not as advertised at all! When my husband and I arrived to the ‘cabin’ the heat was on and it was set to 99 degrees. Please keep in mind it was 100 degrees out side. We were also traveling with a pet so it was extremely unsafe. When we contacted maintenance they did respond very quickly but the only option they gave us was for them to plug is a mobile ac unit. The cabin never cooled down to a comfortable temperature and we were never offered anything else to make up for the inconvenience. We were also not able to open the windows because every single screen was filled with holes and the bugs were swarming in. Next the bed is meant for 1 person and is very uncomfortable. I am 5’9 and my husband is 6,4 so yes we are tall people but our calf’s were hanging off the bed. If you are tent camping or in an RV this place might be ok but as far as renting a cabin I would stay far away from this place. The amenities are decent except the mini golf. The course is concrete and has a ton of chips and cracks in the concrete. It’s ridiculous to even call it mini golf. If that’s not enough, they accidentally double charged my card and they told me to call my bank to dispute the other charge. Very inconvenient.

We stayed here once before and it was much better. However, this time we were in the "A" section, site A041. When we checked in we asked if we could drive around and look at different sites because we have a 40-ft motorhome and we pull a 24-ft cargo trailer that we put our car in. We are Thousand trail members and when my husband makes the reservations he always puts in the comments section the size of our rig with pulling the cargo trailer. We've been told more than once that the actual RV resorts don't look at the comments and yet the 800 customer service number always says but your comments in there. Most other locations adjust for us and are very accommodating so we don't have to unhook all the time. We got to site A041 and the weeds were so high. They were growing through two picnic tables that were there. Not even usable. The other thing the office kept telling us why they couldn't put us somewhere else was because those were for "paying customers". Not sure who they Thousand Trails members are, but we pay for our membership whether we use it or not. Other issues at the time we were there was the fact that there was no internet or cell service. Since we are full-time, all of our TV, watching, banking, bill pay, etc, are through the internet. We have T-Mobile and it normally works most places, however, not at Soledad canyon Thousand Trails. So we ended up paying $14.95 plus tax weekly for internet service and yet the service was still very poor. The outside internet company did try to work with us to get it going but it would just drop off for no reason and then it'd take an hour or two to get back online. Another thing, my wife went to do laundry, one laundry room was completely down. The other laundry room had four washers only and four dryers. She ended up going into Palmdale 11 miles away to do laundry, 2 different times. Not acceptable. We were scheduled to stay 2 weeks, but we left early. Do not foresee ever going back to this location. We've been at other Thousand Trails, and are actually in Wilderness lakes in Menifee, California right now. The scuttle butt around here is that Soledad canyon is not one to bother with. Some have said it's gotten worse since there was a management change.

RV resort was awesome!! Our site was K89- large site, shaded & full hookups, clean amenities. I can’t wait to come back in the summer 🤩

A little maintenance can go a long way!!! This place is why Thousands Trails get a bad reputation. We are literally inches from our neighbor to where our slides almost touch. The neighbor on our other side has tarps and garbage everywhere. The weeds are overgrown in every site. The dog run that they claim to have is over grown with weeds as well. If it rains even just the slightest bit your campsite will turn into a mud pit.

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff, Rhonda and Beth in particular have been nothing short of spectacular. Their kindness, willingness to help, top tier professionalism, and genuine sincerity in assuring that I have the best experience possible has placed an indelible impression upon my heart and has reassured me that God still has some really good people left on this planet. I highly recommend anyone who desires to enjoy the great outdoors to stop by and visit for a time. I assure you, you won't regret it.

Wonderful rv park with lots of amenities- pool, jacuzzi, game room, country store, mini golf etc. in a beautiful high desert setting surrounded by mountains. Depending on where you are in the park, you may hear cars intermittently from the road and the trains that go by especially in section K but the sites are enormous and private so its very nice. Some areas like section N may at times have whiffs from the sewers but have a stunning view especially edge sites and best wifi up here. Its really a lovely huge rv park with nice bathrooms and showers, quiet and peaceful and it feels safe and secure as its also gated . There are mostly full hookups but there are some nice tent sites particularly along the river ( may be almost dried out in off season) and its also a good area to explore northern los angeles like universal studios and magic mountain eg. We particularly love to drive 15 min to Vasquez rocks - an otherworldly park used in several scifi movies - and we boulder/hike.

We really did enjoy staying here. Some sites are better than others which I believe you’re working on. We really enjoyed the quietness and watching the squirrels and Listening to the birds. The only downfall was the Pickleball courts. We wanted to play In the beautiful night, but the lights did not come on and the fence on one side is too low so you have to chase the ball. Other than that, we had a wonderful time keep working at it thousand trails

Thousand Trails is now assigning sites which is not good. I liked it better when we could pick our site. We arrived at 11:50am and we went to check in and we were told we had to wait until 12pm because that is the time to check in. Office staff was rude and not friendly the only staff member who was friendly and very helpful to us was Sage. Thank you, Sage!!!! We asked if we could have Amazon delivered and they said "yes" but we will charge you a $10 handling fee per package. That is crazy considering all they do is take the package from Amazon. Thousand Trails Soledad only cares about selling the camping passes not about the "campers". Weeds are so high and a ton of stickers. We have been coming here since 2007 and it was a really nice campground. This campground needs a lot of TLC it has a lot of potential.

went for my birthday weekend. when we arrived we were put in a space that had weeds bigger than my trailer. my husband went to the office and they moved us. put in notes we wanted to be next to family members but apparently that was impossible even though so many sites around were empty. section b is the worst section. train horns almost every hour. its really loud. barley slept the first night had to wear earplugs the rest of our stay. no service for Verizon in that section. also had a neighbor blaring music as security drove through. they did nothing. I asked security what time was quiet time and they told me 11. if you stay bring a rake, shovel, and earplugs. staff is nice and bathrooms are cleaned daily

The park is very big, view is good, can enjoy nice walk around. My site was at B area, which is not very good maintained. The worst thing is that trains passed always even in the midnight, and horn every time when there was a train coming. Could not sleep good.

Its a nice place to camp. The pools are huge and cold which is refreshing in the hot summer heat. Lots of seating by the big pool. Lots of movies to rent and games for kids. Down side not many campground activities planned out like the other thousand trails we have stayed at. But still a clean nice campground.

Not what we expected from a thousand trails property. We have stayed at a couple other that were beautiful. This place should be embarrassed. A third of the property looks abandoned and unusable. Upon check in at 12pm, we were advised we have no water till 5pm. We were out of fresh water after 3 prior days in Joshua Tree NP expecting to refill here. Another camper said he was notified the day before about the water, however we recieved no calls, texts or emails to be made aware. We did recieve 3 emails confirming our stay and 2 phone calls asking to become a member, but no calls about the water. 😡 The property is run down, poor site numbers and unlevel spaces. Campers are side by side with little room to open slides. We heard the neighbors kids running back and forth in their camper. Water didn't return for 8 hrs, no offer to adjust our rate. I spoke to the office and requested to speak to a manager, she took my number and said Brian would call in the morning. We never got a call. Wifi was an extra cost, no cable TV, no cell service. Tall weeds/grass. RV areas not maintained at all. Would not recommend, very pricy for a disappointing park.
