Peaceful park with huge sights huge grassy areas on every site beautiful stocked fishing pond no license required. The owners just updated the office area it turned out great and they are putting in a store to have accessories for everyone also and also the grocery stores less than a mile away plus fast foods if you're into that kind of thing. There are so many pieces of history in this little town that we have to come back again to see everything. Great owners

We stayed overnight here. The sites were quite large as fairly level with plenty of room for our rig and truck. It is conveniently located right off of I-65. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. I wish they had an option for recycling.

We had a pleasant stay at this RV Resort. It was great for an overnight. The owners are very nice and helpful. Every fast food restaurant is in close walking distance too! Sites are level and easy access to the freeway, yet in the woods. It looks like the new owners are really working on upgrades also.

We had an awesome experience here! We were traveling from Texas to SC and couldn’t find any hotels for our family of 6 and 2 dogs so we planned on driving the whole way through. However, at hour 12, I realized that was a bad idea and we desperately needed a place to sleep. We normally travel with our TT, but I had to leave it behind in Texas so we decided to call around and see if there were any campgrounds that allowed tent camping. I called The Woods RV park and even though they are not setup for tent camping, they were able to accommodate us. It was pouring rain and they let us setup under their pavilion which was awesome. One of the workers even let us use his propane fire pit for the night. I usually don’t leave reviews, but felt compelled to after the awesome customer service and hospitality demonstrated by the staff. I should also mention that it seems very well taken care of. Clean shower and laundry! Five star service all the way!!!

Stopped after 11 hrs of driving. They were so kind and accommodating to us for our impromptu stop. Nice area. We have 0 issues with sand spurs, nice space for the night. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to family and friends 😀

We stop here overnight every year on the way home from Gulf Shores. This year and going forward we'll stop both ways. Sites are always near level and maintained. Wifi is great. Water pressure is very high. On the way home we'll put the regulator on! The only down side, which is not the fault of the RV Park, is that there are new traffic lights and barriers out on the road. Pulling a big rig out to get back on 65 requires making a right then a left and pulling through the parking lot of a gas station. Way to plan, Montgomery!!🙄

Gave 5 stars for the hospitality that the owners shown not only to us but other campers. She gave many suggestions to a couple that wanted advice on attractions. We stayed on site#106. It was mostly level, not too bad. Gravel, but had a nice patch of grass next to site. Was disappointed that there was no picnic tables, pool, or a cement patio. We have a motor home and was concerned on how to get back on the freeway. We were told to go down 3 traffic lights and make a u-turn. No frills just the basics. Did a layover on our way to orange beach. Would stay again! 😉😉😉😉

This place is great for a night or two stay. Right off the freeway, average nightly rate for FHU. Long sites, easy in and out, nice (not necessarily spacious) grassy areas between sites. Ours was in the front, so we had a nice view of trees rather than looking at the back of another RV (thank you). No trees for shade, nor picnic table or patio - which was fine for our needs. Main problem was the sand spurs - so bad that even though we had mats down on the stones, my husband had to carry our 75 pound Golden Retriever in and out of RV to the middle of the road to take a walk 😒. Would definitely recommend the park for a short stay - just watch out for the sand spurs.

Drove in a little late, a yellow envelope was waiting outside with my name. Instructions were clear, easy to navigate, very clean! One of the best RV parks I've stayed on. We stayed for one night, everything went smooth. Honestly hoped we could have stayed longer! Restaurants are near by too!

We received a call from Kellynn on check in day, confirming our arrival time. She explained late check in procedures after we established that we would not be there before the office closed. Our welcome packet had lots of useful information, and we had no difficulty finding our site. The park is very open, and is very quiet, considering how close they are to the highway. Deer were roaming at the edge of the park, and the night sky was filled with stars. Wifi connectivity was also good. We only stayed one night, but would come back for the live music events when they have them in the future. Overall a great experience!

Its a great park for overnight. They do have a stocked pond that you can fish from. It was right off the highway which was nice getting to it. There may be a fire station near by i herd sirens through the evening. The staff was amazingly nice and accommodating. They do have one low hanging utility line that my antenna did twang going in. I was able to avoid it leaving. They do have a few utility trailers being stored there.

While traveling to Gulf Shores we stayed one night. It was a last minute decision and we were happy they had something available. It’s easy in and out but a little hard to find. We passed right by then had to turn around. Site was fine electric hookup so easy and in just the right place. My reason for only 4 stars is we had someone tapping on our door and motor home at 10:30. We had just gone to bed after a 14 hr drive and we hear the tapping, our 2 Beagles heard also. We got up and no one was there but still scary as we don’t know the area and quiet time is 10. Had a hard time falling asleep after that. I’m guessing it was kids and we told someone about it when we checked out, she laughed. So to me it wasn’t funny at all but maybe it’s a regular thing there. I notice a lot of campers are probably year round. Just be aware

We made reservations at this park ahead of time, knowing we would want to stop on the way to Gulf Shores. We booked 2 sites since my parents were traveling with us too. |Great location, right off of the interstate. Easy in and easy out. Nice pull-through sites. Great full hook ups. Clean showering facility. Very nice staff. |We will definitely stop here again on the way to the gulf!!!

Nice campground. Perfect location for visiting Montgomery. Gravel roads, very level, very open for satellite tv reception. Good cable. A bit noisy because closeness to interstate. Spacious, but no picnic tables. Nice grass in all sites. Will absolutely come back.

We called in without a reservation and they accommodated us. Management was superb. We had minor electrical issues and the park manager came to our rig, and helped us troubleshoot. Registration was easy the staff was friendly, and very informative. The grounds were beautifully maintained a very quiet environment with a beautiful pond.. Only two minor downfalls 1 road to the park is under construction totally out of the party's control, 2 signage to the park was is hard to find.
