The generator start time of 6a is wild; 6am is crazy early. Toilets were clean, and they have potable water. Beautiful spot with both private and not-so-private spots. Came without reservation and had no issue finding privacy. Expect some noise and being in close proximity to others even without direct lines of sight. As long as youâre good with that, itâs a good spot. If you donât like kids or people when you camp, this place is not for you.

Nice area but crowded. Most of it is by the water which is nice and there was many trees. We got there through the 88 and itâs a small road and one way in many areas, itâs the scenic route, but with a camper or pulling a boat I would not recommend. Take the 87 instead. Itâs a good camp area overall.

Beautiful and serene. The lot we had was private, clean, good sized, and close to the water. Facilities were clean and within walking distance. Check in and reserving the spot was the easy. Our kids enjoy the lake and we enjoyed the cost for such a cool spot. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful location, really can't beat the views along the water. We were fortunate to grab a tent spot right along the river. Pay at the kiosk at the entrance and it's as easy as that. It was not crowded at all this past weekend, even the amount of river traffic was low allowing for some great paddle boarding! There are no services or hookups at this campground, but there are compost bathrooms, a nice looking boat launch, and several beach swimming areas. Fishing looks to be amazing in this spot. Be aware there are skunks along the river edge! But it's camping wildlife is plenty. đڍ

I very nice place to go camping. Loved it

Nice campground, clean toilets, the only hiking trail only went to the neighboring campground that is shut down. Kayaking was great. The campsites are oddly close together.

Beautiful place. Wish website had mention the fish kill off due to algae. Campsites were nice. Need showers though. Good spots fill fast especially with reservations.Dirt road to site is rough but great view just don't look down.

First time there. The road on 88 coming south from 188 is not for the faint of heart if you're in a large RV. However, my philosophy is if trucks can negotiate the road, so can you. The campsites are clean, with the right mixture of tent and RV campsites. No hookups but water is available near the pit toilets. Very family friendly and Apache Lake is beautiful. There is a small boat launch. Imagine it can be very busy during the summer so plan accordingly.

Camp hosts were awesome. Great spot. It was the busiest I've seen in years. Great thunder âď¸ storm on Saturday.
