Nice campground, right on the water (Salt River) in a canyon below the Roosevelt Dam. Dry camping, with pit toilet available. Plenty of trees & vegetation. Mostly flat. Safe clean & quiet. The road in and out was too scary for me, though, so I probably won’t be back. DO NOT attempt this road with a trailer or big rig. Or if you are afraid of heights.

Beautiful location, not many others around, I think because of the cold nights and windy days. Did not see the camp host except at their campsite. My site and firepit had a 13 gallon bag of trash left behind by previous campers.

We found our new favorite camping spot in Arizona. Being only 2 hours away from Gilbert, this place is 100% a hidden gem. The view from our campsite is just absolutely stunning! The host is super friendly and gave me some tips to reserve sites when it gets super busy. Bathroom is clean, dumpster and water spout was nearby. We can’t wait to be back for summer to swim in the lake.

The family and I stayed for two nights in Jan. The low was around 39 degrees. We had a great time. During the day the weather was perfect. It was fun being next to the water. Staff was friendly and the campground was clean. Will go back!

Loved it here, they keep it clean and most campers were respectful of other campers. The spot we had was right by the one way road to get to the exit/boat ramp. Bathroom facilities were clean and minimal, but at least you could go in privately.

We love the burnt coral campground. It's a little favorite gem for the whole family. Facilities are clean. People are friendly. The camp hosts are awesome. And fishing is good.

The generator start time of 6a is wild; 6am is crazy early. Toilets were clean, and they have potable water. Beautiful spot with both private and not-so-private spots. Came without reservation and had no issue finding privacy. Expect some noise and being in close proximity to others even without direct lines of sight. As long as you’re good with that, it’s a good spot. If you don’t like kids or people when you camp, this place is not for you.

Nice area but crowded. Most of it is by the water which is nice and there was many trees. We got there through the 88 and it’s a small road and one way in many areas, it’s the scenic route, but with a camper or pulling a boat I would not recommend. Take the 87 instead. It’s a good camp area overall.

Beautiful and serene. The lot we had was private, clean, good sized, and close to the water. Facilities were clean and within walking distance. Check in and reserving the spot was the easy. Our kids enjoy the lake and we enjoyed the cost for such a cool spot. Definitely will be back.

Campground hosts were very nice and friendly. The whole area was nice and restrooms were clean. I loved that there was a water faucet outside each restroom and I was able to shower. My kids loved it!! This was my first time going camping and will definetly go back.

Beautiful location, really can't beat the views along the water. We were fortunate to grab a tent spot right along the river. Pay at the kiosk at the entrance and it's as easy as that. It was not crowded at all this past weekend, even the amount of river traffic was low allowing for some great paddle boarding! There are no services or hookups at this campground, but there are compost bathrooms, a nice looking boat launch, and several beach swimming areas. Fishing looks to be amazing in this spot. Be aware there are skunks along the river edge! But it's camping wildlife is plenty. 🦨

Nice campground, clean toilets, the only hiking trail only went to the neighboring campground that is shut down. Kayaking was great. The campsites are oddly close together.

Beautiful place. Wish website had mention the fish kill off due to algae. Campsites were nice. Need showers though. Good spots fill fast especially with reservations.Dirt road to site is rough but great view just don't look down.
