Turtle Beach RV Resort in Manteca, CA

I came from father's day weekend 2026, with my family and and we left after staying only one night. We had decided to tent camp. The majority of the tent sites here do not have shade, The ones that do not have fire rings. There was a vast amount of garbage spread around
Especially on the beaches. The camp hosts did nothing to mitigate the exceptionally loud music and tent campers using very large obnoxious generators. I was screamed at by some lady with no teeth for driving too fast. Even though the posted speed limit is 5  And my car's digital speedometer said, I was driving 4.  And for some reason on Saturday, they turned off the water in the middle of the day to the tent sites. There was only one portable toilet all of the tent sites,  and the bathrooms with showers are clear across the park. I have been a thousand trails member for a number of years. Now, this is by far the worst experience i have had with them.

The stay here wasn't great. They only have one portable toilet in the tent site area. Only a few of the tent sites have fire rings and unfortunately we were unable to get a site with a fire ring. Every site also does not have a picnic bench. It is nice to have the river for kids to play in and to do some fishing. It is also very close to stores and restaurants which was also nice. I will say the two ladies that run the place are very nice and easy to get ahold of if you need anything

I stayed here in a recreational vehicle. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and all things considered the park is well-maintained. I (and I'm sure other EV owners) wish that they would enter into an agreement with chargepoint to establish an electric vehicle charging station here. Currently, there's a Tesla model s as well as a cybertruck owner staying here at the park. I too would like to be able to charge my PHEV at the park as well.

Great park. Pretty busy in early March already so get your reservations in as early as possible. Great camp hosts and personnel. The 2 lane road coming in and out is pretty tight so beware.

This was our first opportunity to stay at this absolutely stunning park. Lyra and her staff are amazing. Will definitely be back.

We came to Turtle Beach for a short 21 day stay while we had doctor visits. I was informed I needed cataract surgery before I could drive anymore. We used up our 21 days and didn't know what to do for the next 2 to 6(?) months because we are full timers. I though we would have to do an annual space. Lyra and Pat suggested we stay month to month which I didn't know we could do. Durning our 4 month stay we had a most wonderful Christmas party with a lot of the other campers at Turtle Beach. Pat and Lyra were there during our crisis and were a GREAT HELP. Mike who also works there helped with setting up the Christmas party and cooking the turkey. He keeps the park in top condition, we'll groomed and clean.
We want to Thank the crew here at Turtle Beach for being there, when we need them.

Great facilities, clean restrooms & hot showers, plenty of available spaces, and fairly close to major grocery stores & fast food outlets. We have a monthly plan for all Thousand Trail sites and stayed at this one for 3 nights and will definitely come back again.

Staff is very accommodating we only had water and electricity. but they were able to get us full hookups after just a couple of days.

We were asked to move after being fully set up for hours because staff gave us the wrong site. The staff member then tried gaslighting my husband into thinking she told him the correct site, when in fact she had directed him to the wrong one and even colored it in on the map they provided. Furthermore, they didn’t apologize nor take accountability for their mistake and simply offered a fake apology for us having to move.

The campground itself was okay, but the service was unprofessional and disappointing. Bathrooms reminded me of the Joint Andrews AF Base Famcamp — which, if you know, you know.

Overall, the experience left a sour taste, despite our many positive stays at other Thousand Trails locations across the country.

We had a really great stay at Turtle Beach.   The staff is amazing.  Deb, Lyra, Pam & Mike will help you in anyway they can to make your stay comfortable.
The property is a hidden treasure.  We will return again on another one of our adventures.

Friendly and active staff, Clean and well kept camp ground, Decent phone signal (T-Mobile), Mostly Quiet.

We stayed in a full hookups spot (50 amp) across from the horse-shoe toss. The staff here is very friendly and present at all times. They keep a very neat camp ground (if you want a place where your dogs can run free, this isn't it). Our time here was quiet, but on occasion you can hear train horns in the distance, even at night. The only complaint I have is the public road leading up to the camp ground. The trees are so low hanging, that if your RV or trailer is over 12 feet tall, you're going to scrape, like we did.
All in all, we had a great stay, and will come back.

Remote location. Terrible road getting to the place. It is nothing close to a "resort". Even though website says to call for pull thru site availability,  there are NO pull thru sites only back in, sites have water & power NO sewer (typical of TT) all sites are gravel w/some trees. Water level in river is very low.  Host was nice. We drove in & there were no sites available. Host offered the dry camping area to us but we declined & left.

We are 1000 trails member and that is why we stayed at this park. We stayed for three weeks and absolutely loved it. Currently due to the pandemic the day use area is closed so the park was super quiet. We were lucky enough to get a full hook up a spot for the three weeks. This is not a large park or a resort park it has more of a state campground feel to it no pool, hot tub, or fun amenities but you do have access to a little beach and the water which we paddleboard it on. The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful here. But be prepared for wind Storms. The staff was super helpful and we probably spoke with three different women Workampers while staying here. You can ship your packages via Amazon, UPS, or FedEx. We work full-time and had decent Verizon and AT&T service to stream movies, video calls, conference calls, and check emails. The main complaint about this park is the road into the park. 2 miles of the road are currently under construction in late October 2021 and the last mile is very rough into the park. You are about 15 minutes from all amenities including grocery stores, fun, shopping and every other necessity.

Had a great time at Turtle Beach RV Resort. Stayed for five days. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Site are large and level. Was really nice to have green grass and not dirt. Downside, not enough water due to California drought conditions. Also if there were more available full hook-ups for members of Thousand Trails and not so many sites taken by Annual users. Only had one night when one group decided to make noise until 2:00 in the morning. Overall experience was positive, will most likely go back again.

Nice little campground.  Lots if space between sites so you are not sitting right on your neighbor.  5 MPH is strictly enforced and if they catch you speeding you will be made to park up by the gate and walk to your site.  Only seen 1 staff member and she was friendly.    Only reason I didn't give them a 5 star was because there is no pool or play place for the kids
