Verde Valley RV Camping Resort is a family-friendly RV campground located in Cottonwood, Arizona. The resort offers a variety of amenities, including a heated pool, hot tub, playground, and a clubhouse with a game room. The resort also offers full hook-up sites with 30/50 amp electric, water, and sewer, as well as pull-through sites and tent sites. The resort is located near many attractions, including the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Jerome. Guests can also enjoy nearby hiking, biking, and fishing.

Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort

Found this studio cabin on booking and when we arrived found out its a camping site..  the cabin we got is perfect. Has everything you need. Staff are all very friendly.  Great place to disconnect from the busy traffic and world.  They sell wood and ice in the front entrance. They have grill and a bench outside to sit and relax outside.  We will be back foe sure.  They have dog park and trails to hike near by.  Spot is close to the main town for food and shopping.

We have been members of Thousand Trails for 25+ years and are just now retiring and able to travel! First time to this park and what a wonderful surprise. It is absolutely beautiful with so many great RV sites. Amanda, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The extensive hiking trails are a big bonus!  Close to nice sight seeing areas with good shopping. Can’t wait to return.

This place was awesome! The staff was amazing! The pool and lounge areas were nice and clean. We had two different cabins and both were great! It was also a great place to stargaze. The one thing it was missing was a laundry room. There is also a Walmart less than 10 min away.

I have stayed here twice in the last two months.  Each for two weeks.  I first stayed in section H with a 30 amp hookup.  This time in section K with a 50 amp hookup for an extra $10 per night.  The views are much better in section K.  The community and walking availabilities are better in section H.

Water and sewer hookups are nice.  Cellular is troublesome in section H, but reasonable in section K.

Starlink works well.

We rented a cabin here for a 2 night off-roading trip with friends. The cabin itself was in great shape and we were perfectly comfortable prepping meals and sleeping there.
If a couple of cons could have been avoided, it would have made the trip exponentially better. Free wifi would be a huge help. absolutely no cell service, so we couldn't even call or text to coordinate with our friends staying in other areas of the park. Paying for wifi is pretty outdated.
There were absolutely no checkout instructions, so we didn't know what to do with the linens, garbage, keys, etc. When we mentioned it to the staff member we checked out with at the gate, he seemed completely baffled that there should be any instructions.
Speed limit is ridiculously slow for such a large park, and finally the dog park/off leash area is not a very convenient location.

Great RV-resort! The resort is laid over a rather large area with multiple loops containing RV sites and cabins/cottages. I didn't see many tents, but we were there in the height of summer and i wouldn't want to tent camp in the heat. I didn't explore all the various loops, but good shade was also pretty limited. The cottage we stayed at was great. Well equipped and furnished with basic cooking tools, grill, propane, stovetop, and fridge. And, perhaps most importantly, A/C! The cottage stayed cool even when it was super hot out. We were there for a family reunion and the lodges worked out great for us. The pool and other facilities also got great use! Only real complaint (and thus 4 stars instead of 5), cell phone reception out there is for crap. Extremely spotty reception, some calls would go through, but most text messages would not, and no data or WiFi.

The park is quite large with multiple sections in different elevations. The newer sections typically will all have 50 amp while the older section only has 30 amp service. (there's a very reasonable upcharge for 50amp sites)

The staff was very nice at check-in. It was our first time there, so she gave us a quick explanation of the amenities and their locations.

The park is quite large with some distance between the sections. I wouldn't consider walking an option, but I guess that depends on the person. We refilled our propane while we were there which they have a dedicated area for. They are only open for a short period of time each day, but they were well organized for each vehicle to get in line and get a refill efficiently.

The views from the park was spectacular. They have a policy to make sure all your exterior lights are off after 10pm, which makes sense because you can really enjoy the stars at night. Would highly recommend this park for anyone in the area.

This is a beautiful RV park. It’s very dog friendly with two dog parks. There’s activities, pool, etc. No laundry room but there are a few in town. The employees are very nice. It’s by a river with access directly from the park. Sedona is close by. Highly recommend staying here. I’ll be back!

This thousand trails has a strange layout but overall is quiet and clean campground, loved the large dog run area and the pool and pickleball courts. Was a little inconvenient to be all the way at the bottom of the canyon and was frustrating to hunt for a first come first serve space. Also the cell service is awful at the whole campground and won’t be able to get internet that way. The drive to Sedona from here isn’t bad and is scenic

I’m sure there are plenty of great experiences to have here but I was surprised to have my first Thousand Trails stay to be lack luster. Much to my surprise when I arrived, I was only allowed to choose from four different sites and none of which were in great locations. I made these reservations under the impression I would get to choose any open spot. All of the wonderful views are up in the 50 amp sections if you want those spots you have to call the park directly ahead of time. I was in H section my neighbor who is a long-term resident of the place is very nice. Everyone has been very friendly. There is a very loud resident across the way who stands outside a talks all day long to anyone who passes by. The clubhouse is like stepping back in time. It’s kind of like sixth grade camp very disappointed that the pool balls had to be checked out with a credit card up at the guard shack but you can take the golf balls and clubs at any time. The playground is very sad so if you have kids, there’s not much for them to do here. The dog park is an empty sandlot and the large dog park used to be RV storage I believe, so it’s just an empty lot. I hope the rest of my experiences with thousand trails is a little more worthy of the price I’m paying for a membership.

This park has made it to our top places to vacation list.  We enjoyed every moment of our stay here. The facilities were in excellent condition and staff were a example on how all TT RV staff should conduct their job. Adam G. was one of my favorite people to have a pleasure meeting.  I highly recommend you visit this RV resort.

Great staff!!!!!! Sites in A, B and C sections had lawn between them.  We did not feel the need to pay extra for 50 amps.  Everything was clean and well cared for.  Limited cell service.  We have stayed 3 times and will go back again. Beautiful surrounding.
