Awesome place, camped with a group, went to Bates Nut Farm, did catch and release fishing, and visited the general store. All was great. Highly recommend 👌

Evicted then banned me in 2019 because of my disability for which I was actively having treatment in spite of the fact that I was able to pay. I'm still disabled. Only much more so

This place was AWESOME. It was raining and they were gracious enough to leave the common room open for us. We were able to sit by the fire and enjoy the evening together. Everyone there was super nice and attentive. Will definitely go back.

Quiet and pretty park tucked back in the trees. We had a reservation ahead of time, and the day of our arrival, the office moved us one spot over because of muddy conditions. It was appreciated, and indeed very muddy. I was a little nervous about the campground not being paved, with how heavy our RV is, but it was no issue. The campground has some tight areas, and as such, big rigs like ours are suited for spots right up front. It worked for us, as we arrived after the office closed, and departed before the office opened. Our site shared an electrical pedestal with the site next to it, and was on the passenger side (camp side) of the site. Our cord was not long enough to make it to the driver side, so we had to pull in forwards to the site. The office was gracious to let us in even though we probably were too big for most of the park!

The speed limit is 5 mph. I was literally doing 7 mph and the management followed me to where I was going and threatened to not let me back on the property. A little extreme if you ask me. First off I had never previously been warned. The reason for the review is because the way the issue was approached was completely unnecessary. The dust for me doing 2 miles an hour over the speed limit was minimal however when pulling in to where I was going there became an exceptionally larger amount of it due to the RC car that was being diriven, which caused the assumption that I was going faster than I stated. I told him how fast I was going acknowledge the speed limit being 5 mph and agreed to pay closer attention and comply with it. He became upset still even though I was responding because I was not looking at him directly when he was speaking to me and carried onto assume that I didn't care what he was saying because I wasn't looking at him in which case I explained I was not staring at him while he was talking to me because he was standing where the sun was glaring in my eyes. I was visiting someone how do I not belong there? According to you I had been previously warned at the time that this issue came about yet this is the first time it has been brought to my attention that I need to register at the office to be on the property. Don't you think that's something that you inform someone of when you speak to them? The consequences that apply to a state park have nothing to do with the situation because it's not a state park, what's your point?

Even though we live just 15 minutes away, we recently spent a holiday weekend camping here with friends, just to get out of the city for a short break. We had a camper, and our friends brought their tents. It was our first time camping here, and everyone in our group (4 adults, 5 kids, 3 dogs) enjoyed the campground. Despite our party being split with a camper and a tent, the staff was able to put us in two spots pretty near each other, right by restrooms, which turned out very convenient for those who needed to get up in the night. We were able to wander back and forth between our two sites easily. The restroom facilities were very clean, and in fact the whole campground was clean and tidy. They came by twice a day to empty the trashcans. Our RV spot had a red ant hill when we arrived, and when we asked if there was any way it could be treated, they came out within 30 minutes to spray. We didn't spot any other wildlife around that was a bother (no rodents) other than wasps, but it's their natural season to be out and they just liked the smell of our food apparently. Once we cleaned up from meals, they went away, and no one was stung or bothered much. Our kids enjoyed using the pool and it was kept very clean. We also brought their bikes, and they had a great time just riding around the grounds. We don't live in an area with sidewalks, so they love it when they get to just ride wild and free (respectful of other campers, of course.) There were other kids in the camp who they got to socialize with as well. We brought small dogs with us, and the whole campground seemed very dog friendly. There were plenty of waste stations around the grounds to grab bags if we needed them and dispose of their waste. The store was equipped with firewood, ice, and plenty of other supplies. The staff was friendly. The other campers were friendly. We had to borrow a can opener from one kind neighbor, and another even stopped by and played my husband's guitar and sang a couple of songs for us. We will definitely consider Woods Valley again for an easy weekend getaway from Escondido/San Diego. Just far enough away from home to feel like you don't have to deal with household stuff for a few days, but close enough we could run back if we forgot something.

We are traveling across America and stayed a week at this campground at site P4 what a beautiful site near the pool and lots of shade. The pool and bathhouse were very well kept clean the staff does a great job in keeping this campground well maintained. The two ladies in the front office were very kind to me and my wife. My experience at this campground is definitely a 10 + if you are looking for a nice quiet relaxing campground this is your place Thank you to all the staff you made our stay very comfortable, to Mark and Dawn the owners you should be very proud of your staff and thank you definitely will be back sometime in the future Thanks for everything Rick and Carol Awalt Delta PA

It's an awesome rv park with wonderful staff working there. Tons of trees and natural settings, every site feels tucked away into the woods and its a short drive from anywhere in SD county. Highly recommended.

Tried to have a nice family camping vacation but was disappointed on the female owner’s poor customer service and people skills. As paying customers we deserve to be treated with respect and not as children. Be aware, if she doesn’t like something she will approach you in the most unprofessional way ever. Stay at your own risk!

simply the best ***** We stayed 4 days in Woods Valley Kampground. It was a wonderful experience. The entire area is immaculately clean. Employees are working constantly to upkeep the property and the fantastic fauna and gardens. The office has friendly, helpful staff, (April and Ashley), and the store is well equipped with all necessary items. The owners oversee all and work diligently to create the best possible vacation/stay for all visitors. A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE YOU MUST PUT ON YOUR TRAVEL DESTINATION.
