I have stayed here numerous times over the last 30 years. I came here every summer with a church group in my teens and when I got my RV a few years ago I stayed here for a few days on two different occasions. I now live here long term in my RV and I love it here. Marc and Dawn are great owners and really take great care of the place. It is beautiful and peaceful here and the amenities are wonderful. I highly recommend this place for both tent and RV camping, as well as both short and long term.

Terrible camping experience.
The owner handled complaints poorly and seemed more interested in finding problems than resolving them.
We noticed multiple Latino families receiving complaints as well, which made us feel unfairly targeted.
Advertised as dog-friendly, yet we were told our dogs couldn’t be leashed at our campsite and later received a complaint because they barked.
People appear to be living there full-time, with cluttered sites and vehicles being worked on regularly.
The pond had no fish, despite what we expected.
Not a relaxing or family-friendly campground.

Would not recommend and will not be returning.

TERRIBLE PALCE TO CAMP!
Racism towards Mexicans was ridiculous

It this far but as we were packing out there was 4 other ONLY LATINO families that were also getting complaints
RACISM I THINK YES!

This was our campsite and we were told we had to “Clean up” because it was dirty”
Traveling with 4 children and ONE paper plate was on the floor was “DIRTY”
We chose this place because it was also dog friendly
We were not allowed to have our dogs on a leash tied to a tree
Went to the pool and we got another complaint because “ the dogs were barking at the people that passed by”
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
THEYRE dogs!
On top they have people living there that have disgusting hoarding issues, are constantly doing mechanic work on their cars, the pond has NO FISH
If you want to literally park and lock yourself in your RV this will be great for you but if you want to have family bonding time
DO NOT COME HERE!
There’s a reason why they ALWAYS have availability.

Our experience at this campground was extremely disappointing.

What concerned us most was what felt like discriminatory treatment toward Latino families. During our stay, we noticed that four other Latino families were also receiving complaints from management. Based on what we observed and experienced, it was difficult not to question whether we were being treated differently.

Within approximately 12 hours, we received around 10 complaints. One of those complaints was that our campsite was “dirty.” We were traveling with four children, and at the time there was only a single paper plate on the ground while we were actively packing up. Calling the site “dirty” felt unreasonable and excessive.

We specifically chose this campground because it advertised itself as dog-friendly. However, we were told our dogs could not be tied to a tree while on a leash. Later, while we were at the pool, we received another complaint because our dogs barked at people walking by. Dogs naturally bark from time to time, and the constant complaints made us feel unwelcome.

In addition, there were long-term residents with visible hoarding conditions and ongoing vehicle repair work taking place throughout the campground, yet those issues appeared to receive far less attention than our campsite. We were also disappointed to find that the pond had no fish, despite our expectations.

Overall, this campground felt overly restrictive and unwelcoming. If you’re looking for a place where your family can relax, spend time together, and enjoy camping, I would not recommend staying here. Our experience left us feeling uncomfortable, unfairly scrutinized, and disappointed.

This is that campground that will take you back to all your magical memories camping as a kid. Except the facilities are REALLY CLEAN! You can tell that Mark and Dawn and the rest of the team really care about your camping experience. Service plus plus !

Amazing campground with all the facilities. Very clean and well-maintained.

Nice rv park. Short windy road of main street eat.  Real friendly, lots of water fowl. Dirt sites.

Family campground for RVs and tents. Water and electric, dump station, small store and dump service for a small fee. Very clean and quiet. Beautiful place in the oaks and pines. Ducks, petting zoo and picnic area.

Awesome place, camped with a group, went to Bates Nut Farm, did catch and release fishing, and visited the general store. All was great. Highly recommend 👌

We are traveling across America and stayed a week at this campground at site P4 what a beautiful site near the pool and lots of shade. The pool and bathhouse were very well kept clean the staff does a great job in keeping this campground well maintained. The two ladies in the front office were very kind to me and my wife. My experience at this campground is definitely a 10 + if you are looking for a nice quiet relaxing campground this is your place Thank you to all the staff you made our stay very comfortable, to Mark and Dawn the owners you should be very proud of your staff and thank you definitely will be back sometime in the future

It's an awesome rv park with wonderful staff working there. Tons of trees and natural settings, every site feels tucked away into the woods and its a short drive from anywhere in SD county. Highly recommended.

This is a great local campground !!  The pool is fantastic and it’s nice and quiet most of the time! We have been living here for 6 months and it’s a really great place to live! We enjoy it a lot! The staff and owners are Super friendly and helpful! GREAT PLACE!!!!!

Tried to have a nice family camping vacation but was disappointed on the female owner’s poor customer service and people skills. As paying customers we deserve to be treated with respect and not as children. Be aware, if she doesn’t like something she will approach you in the most unprofessional way ever. Stay at your own risk!

simply the best *****
We stayed 4 days in Woods Valley Kampground. It was a wonderful experience. The entire area is immaculately clean. Employees are working constantly to upkeep the property and the fantastic fauna and gardens. The office has friendly, helpful staff, (April and Ashley), and the store is well equipped with all necessary items. The owners oversee all and work diligently to create the best possible vacation/stay for all visitors. A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE YOU MUST PUT ON YOUR TRAVEL DESTINATION.

This place is awesome and it's because the new owners have done so many good things to upgrade and restore the place to a natural and peaceful get away only 15 minutes from civilization.   Bathrooms are super clean as is the pool and all are free to use!  Wonderful family oriented campground.
