Overview
Overview
Camping Lake Monroe in Mont-Tremblant, QC positions travelers directly against the rugged backdrop of the Laurentian Mountains. This campground places visitors near the water in a region defined by dense boreal forest, rolling granite shields, and pristine Canadian wilderness. It serves as a basecamp for road-trippers navigating Quebec's scenic routes, offering an outdoor-focused environment shaped by its namesake lake and the surrounding provincial park landscape.
Location & Surroundings
Approaching via Route 117 or regional Quebec highways, travelers enter a terrain characterized by towering white pines, Canadian Shield rock outcroppings, and cool northern waters. The climate shifts dramatically across seasons, bringing vibrant autumn foliage in September and heavy winter snowpacks that transition into lush, active summers. Mont-Tremblant and nearby towns like Saint-Jovite supply essential services, while the natural geography provides a quiet, forested atmosphere far removed from urban congestion.
Amenities & Park Features
Because specific on-site infrastructure details at Camping Lake Monroe are not universally published, RVers should verify facility specifics directly before arrival. Campers should inquire ahead regarding essential RV requirements, such as hookup availability, amperage ratings, water pressure, and waste disposal stations. Site dimensions, pull-through configurations, and shade cover vary significantly across Laurentian campgrounds, making direct communication with park management the most reliable path for trip planning.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The surrounding Mont-Tremblant region delivers endless outdoor recreation centered around Parc National du Mont-Tremblant, located just minutes away. Visitors can paddle extensive canoe circuits, hike the Sentier des Cimes, or fish for native trout in clear northern lakes. Cyclists find miles of paved paths along the P'tit Train du Nord linear park, while the pedestrian village of Tremblant provides dining, alpine gondola rides, and cultural events throughout the warmer months.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination suits nature-driven RVers, paddlers, and hikers prioritizing proximity to wilderness over urban luxury. Great place for enjoying outdoor activities close to Montreal and Mont Tremblant. Quite sort like the west of Canada.

I get amazed every time I visit Quebec parks, and the way they manage it and keep it to the mark. I wish I could explain my feelings but 10/10 to this park and their management. Deep lush forest with lots of lakes and waterfalls, along with well maintained campsites.
