Made the reservation for 4 nights a week in advance at days inn in Clanton Alabama. Sarah the manager was very nice. But when we got there and got checked in the room immensely smelled of urine and the sheets where dirty with hair. Keep in mind we have a 2 year old with us. So I immediately went to the office. When she called the housekeeper about the sheets she said oh I forgot we don't have water. So the linens couldn't be changed. And they had already took the money off of my bank card. So i made the cancellation and at first she said it would take 3-5 days for a refund. Which was unacceptable bc I feel like she should have told us about the water ordeal when we got there immediately. So she put me on the phone with Sarah the manager and she was very polite and she apologized for any inconveniences. My money was back on my card before we left the parking lot. Sarah's customer service was 5 star quality but the room and the lady at the front county was not.

Our room had a lamp that didn’t work which didn’t really matter but the bottom sheet on our bed had blood stains and yellow stains. But after confronting the front desk lady, they were polite and they took away the stained sheets. However I would not recommend this hotel to anyone because this hotel has a slightly shady feeling to it.

The room was terrible!!!! Within 2 minutes of walking in the room there was a roach crawling on the table. The bed was made but the sheets and comforter were dirty because it had black stuff you could shake off all over them. The shower didn’t work only the faucet of the tub, crack heads come knocking on your door wanting cigarettes at 6am, people smoking weed in the parking lot, sheets and towels were stained, floor was not vacuumed, at one point 4 police vehicles were circling the hotel, over heard cleaning staff training another lady say “just make the bed no one will know”. I am not one to do reviews at all but it was bad enough were I felt no one should have to stay there.

Room was in desperate need of a good cleaning! Sheets had an unknown black soot in the corners. It was late at night and we had no other choice but to get a few hours of sleep there on top of the sheets.

The tv didn't work,ran the hot water for 10 minutes it got barely warm,killed a roach not long after being in the room. We got a refund and moved on. The only plus was the lady at the desk was nice

Needs updated. There were roaches in the bathroom, stains on the comforter on the bed (didn’t know what it was, didn’t want to know what it was), and stains on the wall. Walls were paper thin and the pipes would make a loud knocking noise every time someone close by would take a shower, if woke us up every time. The toilet wouldn’t flush. I called and told them about it and they said they would send someone. Not sure if they sent anyone, because we left, and came back to the toilet not being flushed. (You would think if they came by, they would have at least flushed it). Staff was friendly, only saw one person, but the building really needs an update. Most likely won’t be staying again. My children are still scared of creepy crawlies 😫

None of these awful reviews are true. If you are from the South then you know about all these critters (stink bugs, lady bugs, roaches, ect) are had to get rid of and if they got any I didnt see any when I was there. Did see where they had a treatment company come out but any good business will have that. The ladies there who do the cleaning as well as the young male are just as friendly as can be and did a good job making sure we were taken care of. The desk ladies were amazing and any issues we had they fixed and got maintenance there on the double. It is an older building and there is alot of work for them to do but you can bet your rear end I will be staying again. Good city, good location, great price.

The staff was decent after you initiated conversation. The rooms were terrible. Several cockroaches greeted us when we opened the door. They were in the beds, bathrooms, on the walls and floors. You could see stains on the shower curtain, towels, and bedding. Hair was everywhere and the room did not appear to have been cleaned other than the beds being made.

I found this hotel driving back from gulf shores on labor day. They are under renovation and are trying to improve one room at a time. I stayed in room 104 and it was very clean and smelled nice. Bed was comfortable and had 3 soft pillows. The staff were very nice and were there if you needed anything. For the price you are not going to find anything better and they also had a decent breakfast with good hot coffee. I'll admit when I drove up I almost didn't stop but I'm glad I did got to meet some good down to earth people in Clanton AL.

We asked for a non smoking room which we did not get that's first. We went to our room there was handprint on the mirror like someone was having sex on it. There was Dried up blood on the sheets, hair up under the second sheet. The 2 room was okay just had to take a shower with my shoes on 😡. The floor is Horrible it feels like your walking on a Soggy carpet that hasn't being clean and forever. Never again it was only because we couldn't get in nowhere else

This place needs to be shut down! It looks like a crack den! There was roaches in the room. The pool was green! There was several people that lived at the motel. The rooms stunk, the chairs had stains on them.

Gave us the wrong keys & wife walked in on a man changing. Then gave us the right key and we walked in and the room was filthy, lights wouldn't turn on and oh yeah.... Couldn't shower because the roaches had first dibs. Never again!

Cigarette butts left on lamp shades in a non smoking room which I had to clean up my self . Restroom and sink area wasn’t even wiped down there was tooth paste stain everywhere front desk wasn’t very helpful at all when it came to getting key renewed let someone in front of me then tried to tell me room wasn’t paid for when it was paid for two nights in advance. I wouldn’t come here ever again.

My wife and I had no other choice but to stay in this filthy, bug infested, smelly hotel room on 7/12/19 due to surrounding non-availability. No mattress pad, ice machine was broken, bathroom was incredibly filthy. My wife slept with her clothes on it was so bad. This was the worse hotel room I have ever stayed in (I'm 67 years old).

Are stay was fun. The staff are sweet and respectful. The girls in the front are vary helpful. The house keepers are hard workers and clean good in this heat .
