Lakeside RV Resort by Rjourney was a nice quiet place to spend 4 nights. Escorted to site. Staff very helpful. We had to extend one night due to freezing rain. Very cooperative. The lake has a sidewalk for you to walk and enjoy the wildlife. Great place to stay!

This rv park is right off i-10 so really convenient pull-off for the night. The lounge with tv, books and puzzles was comfortable and clean. The shower was hot for me but not for my husband or another guest in the women’s bathroom that asked how my water temp was. Bathrooms were super clean! Very big rig friendly. Very friendly atmosphere from more long-term rv residents. Lake is pretty. Pool looked clean but i wish they had a hot tub … january is too cold for swimming. We will stay again as we travel i-10 frequently. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars for service is that the office doesnt open until 9 and we had hoped to get propane monday morning before we started on our way.

This is our 3rd time visiting the park. We first arrived after they were purchased by RJourney. The staff is wonderful, kind and courteous. We love our site and generally try to get the same ones. This time, we noticed a lot of new additions such as the floating palaces and the golf carts for rental. The cost was a little higher than expected by we know it is worth the money because it is a well taken care of park with pride by all their workers. They have also added a free dog wash in the dog park. We were in our own RV at the Lakeside, Louisiana property

Camper pull through and spots are long enough and well maintained. Close to freeway, but quiet. Lake is nice, pool looked nice, but too cold to swim. Store has necessities and staff was super friendly and helpful.

We camped here for 3 nights in our 5th wheel. Didn't rent rooms. It was a very nice stay. We enjoyed walking around the lake and watching the water birds. There is a Mute Swan in residence with his Mallard Duck pal. Also saw Heron. Briefly saw an otter. Paved, pull through space. Full hook ups and reasonable price. Far enough away from Hwy 12 so no road noise but close enough to be convenient.

This campground is perfect. Just east of Baton Rouge and off the highway just enough to miss the tragic noice. Spacious paved sites surrounding a lovely lake. Very clean and well managed.

Pros- friendly desk clerk at check in; nice playground area and game room for the kids Cons- We stayed in cabin 124 and was told on the phone at booking that it had bunk beds and slept 6 people. Our family of 5 arrived to no bunk beds and only sleeping for 4. A very small sleeper sofa and small bed in the back of the cabin (possibly a double). We went back to the office to see about getting a cabin for 6 like we were told when booked; however, they were completely booked up. It was either one of our children sleep on the not so clean floor, or go buy a blowup mattress plus sheets. That’s what we chose to do considering the circumstances. Our two older boys had to share the pull out sofa and our younger daughter on the blow up. The bed in the back of the cabin is so hard and uncomfortable. You can feel every spring and it made so much noise, none of us slept. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left and came home early after 1 night. I emailed RV Journey about the mix up as soon as we arrived and still have not received an email back. For paying $400 for 2 nights (that includes the damage deposit), you would expect a lot nicer accommodations. I would say the cabins should be maybe $50 a night. Nowhere near $115-125. While the campground itself seemed really nice, I would not recommend staying in the cabins.

Great well-kept RV park, with nice little lake and amenities. Arrived after office hours with no issues. Super convenient to the interstate. Enjoyed the view as the sun came up over the lake while walking the pups. Highly recommend; will stay again.

We always use this park for an overnight stay when on I-10! It is the cleanest. Friendliest and best rv spots around a man mad lake around. It has a nice nice walk around the lake. One large goose that is nice to look at far away! Good WiFi. Nice kid area in metal Bldg. Great utilities! Only a couple fast food places nearby so plan to eat prior to landing or bring food to cook. Lots of permanent party but plenty of spaces to utilize! We camped at Lakeside RV Resort by Rjourney in a Fifth Wheel.

Pros. Easy check-in, beautiful concrete pads and easy hook ups. Easy bike riding and clean restrooms and laundry. Easy off and on I-12 and no traffic noise. Cons. Young kids, girl riding around on golf cart for over hour texting while driving. Nice 5 mph speed Limit until early morning 5am on, homesteaders speed out for work. Couldn't sleep past 5, noisy trucks. Didn't enjoy sitting out with golf carts constantly going around, lights shine right into your eyes. Not sure to return.

Enjoyed staying at the park. It was very well maintained and friendly folks. The sites are well done and fully paved with a small picnic table as well. We backed to the pond and it was a pretty view and setup. We requested our specific site and it was a little close to the road with some noise from time to time but most of the park is well away from the road. There are golf cart rentals, on water cabanas which look good in summer. I am not sure of additional activities but I am sure there are more.

We were having difficulty finding a RV park in the area that would rent one night at a reasonable price. Lakeside RV resort did. Nice concreted parking areas and the restrooms were clean. The only negative was that the mosquitoes were VERY thick at sight 111 & the lake view was a catercorner view through the volleyball net. They do have many sights that would have had a beautiful view. Large park with pavilion, volleyball net, playground for kids, nice store and unheated pool

This RV park is well maintained, has a great and friendly staff. Far enough off of I-12 to not have traffic noises from the interstate. The pond looks great and a nice walking area around the pond along with a doggie park. The internet was the only disappointment.

RV Park is clean and well maintained. Mostly level gravel sites. Paved roadway. Check- in was simple since I had to pay at time of reservation. Girl at desk could have been a little more friendly. I noticed wifi antennas so I called back to the office to inquire about wifi. I was told they had 2 available for free: RV Resort slow and fast. Of my 3 devices, I could not get any of them to show the 2 wifi sources. My site was right next to one of the wifi antennas. I could get one that said RV Resort Corporate but I doubt they would give out that password. They have a water Lazy River and Pool which would be nice for kids during the summer. For a one night stay in October, it was not open. $72/ night was a little high for a back in gravel site for one night. Nicer parks for less money within 20 miles.

We only stayed one night but can see it’s a great place to stay! Nice large, level concrete sites with plenty of grass, fire pit, picnic table and we had some pine trees, too! All the hook ups were in great working shape. We were across from a beautiful lake. Looks like pontoon boats to rent, volleyball, a lounge, a fenced dog park and a laundry room. Nice office with friendly staff! We’ll be back!
