Lakeside RV Park

This is clearly one of the better designed and maintained parks that we have visited. Concrete pads, wide roads and very well kept facilities. Large RV's will find roads, lots and spacing are excellent. This is our third trip here and will surely visit again. We have been to competitor campgrounds with FAR less appeal yet substantially higher rates. Whether visiting the area - or just traveling I-12 - this is a good place to stop.

The cabin is small inside but clean and comfortable. The bed was not comfortable, too hard and sits too low. The tub shower is small. The chair in sitting area sits low. We brought a foot stool to be comfortable. The walk around the lake is beautiful. We didn't take advantage of the amenities. The negative part for me was when on the same day I made reservations, I had given the wrong dates and called back immediately to change and was charged a extra $29.

Nice RV park with a mix of short- and long-term guests. Well laid out with long pull -through sites, if a little narrow. No problems negotiating the interior roads or getting in and out of the site. Staff were friendly and professional. Grounds were very well kept, mowed & edged weekly, and the small lake (more like a pond) was scenic and peaceful. The services worked well and the park was generally quiet.

This was such a beautiful campground. It is well kept, has plenty for kids but sitting and enjoying the pond was enough for me. My cabin was exceptionally clean and was in a great location. The park was quiet and my fellow campers were respectful and friendly. The staff were very helpful leading up to the trip as well. All together, this place is a gem and we will be returning!

Very nice park and well kept. Everyone who works here is really nice. We wish we stayed longer. Not too far from NOLA and other things to do. The laundry room could use some updating. Some sketchy people come here to stay. Not the parks fault but maybe have some type of screening before letting people stay at the park. If possible. Our sewer was a little higher up then where it comes out of our RV. Which made it hard to dump but if you pull up directly to the sewer connection, that'll make it easier to dump. Not sure if all sites are like this.

The campground is close to home, very well maintained, quiet, managed very well. Staff is very accommodating. The pool was very clean. They have a dog park with pet wash station. They have a gazebo with swings near the lake area. If you're interested they have golf cart, kayak, paddle boat rentals. They have these floating cabanas you can reserve on the water. This was the first campground we ever visited and we keep coming back.

We love this place! We always stay here for a night on our way down to Florida and one night on our way back home! It is very easily accessible, great pull thru spots and extra parking outside the gate for our extra truck and boat! The walkway around the beautiful pond is such a huge bonus! We always enjoy seeing the swan and his or her buddy the mallard! We always enjoy our stay here!

My daughter and I stayed here as a overnight stop on our cross country trip. As two female travelers, we are always looking for safe places to rest before hitting the road. We were impressed with not only the comfort we felt, but also the cleanliness of the park. We will continue to keep this location in mind for future travels.

Chose this campground due to its proximity to Baton Rouge. Sites were too close together for the price paid. Bathrooms/Shower were excellent and astonishing clean to perfection. Young lady at front desk needs customer service lessons. Older lady was friendly and knowledgeable. Older gentleman who provided escort and fit us perfectly into our spot should be promoted. He is manager quality.

All concrete sites very well maintained with all the necessary amenities. They have a stocked lake and the sites 113-126 have a nice view of the lake. All the sites from 113-142 a a bit more spacious as well. But overall a very nice rv park one that I would recommend. Their only draw back is charging you $10 if you come before 2 pm. It’s the first time in three years of traveling that we were charged for coming in early. But overall it is a nice park.

Very well maintained RV park on a private 18 acre lake. Super attentive helpful and friendly staff. Lakeside sites are spacious and beautiful. All 125+ sites have concrete pads with full hook-up. 30 & 50 amp service. Staff guides you to site and assist with parking your rig. Garbage pick-up at your site every day. Most sites have campfire rings with firewood available delivered and stacked at your site. Traffic noise along South Frost Road can be loud during morning and evening drive times. Nice pool area and park offers paddle boards and other water sport activities. Covered playground area with volleyball, horseshoes and basketball areas. Many people fish from paddle boats and along the shoreline.

After traveling nearly 5000 miles in 27 days, we got to within spitting distance of home and found the best RV park of the entire trip! All is concrete, which is so helpful. There's a huge lake with ducks and a swan and benches, a swing, and a walking trail. Really nice playground and all sorts of amenities. We'd drive the 5 hours to stay here again. It was quiet in spite of the fact that there are families living there with children. We loved it and the price was reasonable indeed. We hope to visit again.

We stayed here for two weeks May 2022 and it was very nice! The park is very quiet during the week but fills up on the weekend. Pool was a little murky when we were there but they told us they were trying to figure out the chemicals to fix that. The public spaces were well maintained (the playground had tons of spiders but I don't know how much that can be helped) and my son loved the game room and corn hole area. We were surprised to see the resident swan and her little duck friend! Thought that was cute! The surrounding area didn't have much to do but it's situated in a good location to visit New Orleans and Baton Rouge both. We'd visit again if in the area!

We stayed here May 4-6 so we could check out New Orleans and the surrounding area. All concrete and grass; a very nice park. It served us well. No surprise the wifi is awful, but it usually is. We would stay here again.

This is a gem of an RV park. Very quiet and peaceful. Everyone was very friendly. Large pond but I didn’t see anyone fishing. The is a very nice community center and game room, swimming pool.
