Very different from the state park campground. This RV park is located right in the middle of the retail area and off the main roads. Lots are paved and jammed in tight, with NO Shade, but the layout makes pulling through easy enough. I didn't like that they seem to be anti e-bikes. We take ours everywhere and especially love Gulf State Park for riding. Loads of very nice expensive rigs paying 30% more for a spot than the state park charges. This place is close to the festivals and town events and the public beach. Contrast to the state park campground which is much much bigger, is shaded better, and the state park lots are spread out nicely. But, the state park is a good mile away from this retail and town events area and tucked in on the lake, away from the beach. You can walk to the beach and dining and retail, easily from this private park. State Park campers need a car or bike to reach these places. Nice to have this option.

Full disclosure: We did a drive through, we have not stayed here. We were considering it for next season, but we have a dog and with the site’s not being surrounded by something other than white powdery gravel this is a no go for us. We really like the location and they had an activity board posted for guests, which is nice. Navigating a very large rig could be challenging, but they may offer assistance with that. If they could get rid of the gravel, we would definitely consider this resort.

We got a site for the month at the last minute after someone cancelled. It met our needs perfectly! The staff here are amazing. The facilities are kept immaculately clean. Yes, it's sandy and lots of concrete and has some sand burs, but small prices to pay for being 0.4 miles from the pristine beach. Get a cheap loop carpet mat and put it inside your RV's door and it will catch most of the sand and burs. Use your vacuum daily. Very dog friendly, and despite many signs to pick up your dog's waste (and bags and receptacles throughout), some owners left messes along the walking path...the same reason dogs are not allowed on the beaches (don't make the mistake of ignoring beach rules- the city aggressively enforces every one). If you think the prices are too high, go east to FL. Guaranteed higher for comparable. Carry a flashlight when walking the path along the nature preserve- there's critters in that swamp. Small bike tents and canopies were allowed, contrary to the website. Be careful entering the resort with low rigs- slow and easy or you may drag your levelers. We will be back next year!

So we booked weeks before we arrived, paid in full. We were told two days before that the weather was cold enough that they were closing the bathhouses. I was there so I can agree that at night the cold was a factor. It is still the Gulf Shore, so it warms up to a chilly 50 during the day. It is 4pm during this cold snap, and the solar build in my RV turned off all my heat. My problem with this comes with the bathhouse; a freestanding building that houses showers, etc. which were shut down for 48 hours straight this weekend. No water to any RV site, no water to the bathhouse. I am here for a Convention! I planned in advance knowing I needed to shower! During the day there is abolutely NO CHANCE of a freeze, yet I can't shower or fill tanks. Or empty my black water. No refund was given for this, so they made money off of hundreds of RVs which were not able to use facilities. NOT COOL! We left a perfectly beautiful RV site to come to this one on a friends' mention. I am sorry we did this. Very close to this RV site is a Sugary pearl to stay at where the Sands are not as chilly. Or expensive.

Level, concrete pads with space for parking and seating outside (picnic table on each site). Well-maintained grounds. Staff is friendly. Pool is great. The showers/restrooms are very nice and clean. Laundry machines on site ($2 each load to wash/dry). The clubhouse area was being renovated during our stay but I'm sure it'll be great once complete. They are pet friendly and just put in an enclosed dog run. Within walking distance to many shops, restaurants & the beach!! Wal-Mart very near and Publix a bit further. I would recommend and would stay here again.

Another awesome stay at Luxury RV Resort! Best sunrises on mainland! The staff is friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms are pristine and the park is in the best location-- accessible to shops, restaurants, bars and of course, the beautiful white- sand beaches Gulf Shores is famous for! We'll always come back to this location! A++

This was our first visit to Luxury and and we thoroughly enjoyed the park. Everything is within walking distance. Easy access to bike trails. Super clean restrooms, access to clubhouse for gatherings and a nice new dog park. Love the walking trail around the grounds. Staff is top notch. Already booked our next trip back to Luxury!

We spent three days at the resort in late September 2023--and were delighted with the experience. The park is clean, very well maintained and managed. The staff is pleasant and responsive and the location of the Resort is really great--both because it is close to so many things (including the ocean) and also because it borders on a beautiful lagoon which gives it a unique feel. We've been RVing for a while now and have stayed at parks in 19 states--This one is a keeper. We unconditionally recommend Luxury RV Resort to you--you won't be disappointed.

The RV park was very clean, and the proximity to the beach is awesome as it’s a very short walk. Really awesome for kids, as you don’t have to get in and out of vehicles covered in sand or find parking. There’s the “hangout” pretty close that our kids loved to play at and hang out at in the evenings. Would recommend for anyone wanting to be near the beach.

This place was GREAT! It was quiet, clean and close to EVERYTHING! We walked to dinner and dessert most evenings. Every site was on a concrete pad and the facilities were great. The people were friendly and the place was surrounded by a picturesque little park. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a short but wonderful stay here. The RV sites are level and spacious. There are various restrooms on site. We utilized one of the clubhouses to shower and we were surprised to find basically a Rec room with TV, chairs and couches, microwave fridge etc. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The park is also very close (walking distance) to the strip with shops and restaurants, as well as the beach.

Very nice well maintained park. VERY Clean showers and bathrooms. Park appeared pretty close to full capacity, yet we never waited for a shower. Multiple shower/bathroom facilities. Staff was always friendly and helpful. 10 minute walk to the beach. Going to venture and say you won't find a better park in Gulf Shores!

I enjoyed Luxury RV Resort. The host was very nice and helpful. The resort is in walking distance to the beach, lots of shops and eateries. My only complaint is the Pet Information said no pet pens were allowed and there were 3 up while we were there. There were 2 dried dog poops in our grass area when we arrived, which I picked up. Before we left there were 2 fresh big dog poops left on our last day. Very disappointed in people not picking up after their pets. The staff asked if we knew who the culprit was, they were willing to address the situation. All in all I enjoyed the stay. Exterior sites were spacious, the swimming pool was very nice and restrooms were very well kept.

This place was wonderful! The bathroom/shower house was beautiful and secure, the spots were well kept and easy to get in and out of. And you can’t beat the location! A less than 10 minute walk to the beach which we were thankful for since traffic and parking is horrible along Beach Blvd! Would definitely recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay. It is convenient to restaurants, icecream shops and bars. We rode our bikes to all those places because it was close and parking at the establishments was limited. They also have nightly activities. The showers were not only clean but they also doubled as tornado shelters as we found out. The water pressure was fine and they have full hookups. They have nice round picnic tables. When you make your reservation ask for a back in spot on the back by the walking path. We noticed the ones in the middle tend to flood when a heavy rain hits.
