We had a last min change of plans and needed somewhere to stay for a few days and this place came up on our search so we gave it a try and WOW ! What a great spot, the staff was super friendly. The store on property had all the camping essentials. The lots had good spacing with trees, picnic tables and fire rings. There was also a play area for the kids and a big indoor area with a pool table , ping pong table, games and movies to borrow. They are also dog friendly which is a big plus for us. We are so happy we stopped here it was perfect.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Moonshine. We stayed at site 50, a grassy spot in the newly opened addition. This area has backin spots with power/water/sewer hookups had a nice mixture of canopy cover and sunshine with a fire ring and picnic table. I read another review that mentioned noise from the nearby road, while this is accurate for the newer loop since it butts up against a main road, we hardly noticed it and ran a small fan for background noise just in case. I definitely have camped at places that had much worse noise issues! The entire property is beautifully maintained. The main building where the office, bathrooms/showers and game room are is brand new and very welcoming. Nice private restroom and shower combination, always very clean. Every interaction with staff was wonderful, everyone was so helpful and friendly. They hosted an egg hunt for the kids on Saturday before Easter and had family friendly karaoke in the evening. My son enjoyed playing billiards and ping pong. There are a few fenced dog areas and plenty of pup clean up stations throughout for walking. My pups enjoyed the weather and nature, there are many hiking trails near in the state and county parks. We also took advantage of the nice paved bike path that goes from O’Leno state park to Ichetucknee south entrance, and we kayaked the Ichetucknee and Santa Fe rivers. The location of Moonshine is perfect for outdoor adventures close by, for walking and dining in High Springs and the property was great for R&R. Everyone staying at the time we were there was respectful of quiet hours and courteous. We didn’t encounter any loud or rambunctious groups, just friendly couples and families enjoying “camping”.

While this is a well appointed and clean RV park, I left having a few issues. First, the management is quite lacking in hospitality and left us feeling that they were doing us a favor by allowing us to stay in their park. Secondly, the noise from passing trucks along the adjacent highway is pronounced, especially in the newer sites bordering the road, and no apparent attempts are being made to mitigate the problem with fencing or plantings. Proximity to Itchetucknee Springs State Park is the main draw to stay at Moonshine Acres. If you have the luxury of time to find a quieter location, I would encourage you to do so.

This is a very clean, quiet and cute RV Park. It's central to many parks and springs. We had some amazing kayaking. We had an issue with our awning and the owner and others came and helped fix it or to see if we were all set. Very clean and nice on site amenities.. A very friendly and pleasant place to stay!

Beautiful place, very clean, spacious, and great customer service. The owners are very friendly and make sure you have a pleasant stay. The game room is fabulous, so many board games, movies, pool and ping pong table, and a cute playground for the kids. We are definitely coming back!

Wow! This place was fantastic!! We had the best time staying in the glamping tents. Very nice, lot's of room and air-conditioning!! The glamping area had it's own REAL 2 bathroom's with showers too!! The game room was super nice. Pool & Ping Pong table, juke box, games and air-conditioning. Kathy is super nice and helpful. Only downside is they do not have their pool yet. But it's coming!! I would definitely recommend Moonshine Acres RV Park and go again!!

Stayed here for Labor Day weekend in site 23. Not a lot of shade on the sites (we did have one of the few trees) but nice and level with full HU. Gravel road and site. The playground is very small, like toddler size. Clubhouse was very nice and gave us a break from the heat. Didn’t use the family style bathrooms but they appeared clean. Staff were very nice. Very well stocked camp store. Lots to do in the area with several springs. We will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed our stay here! If you're into the springs, they're very close by. A handful of people even commute there with their golf carts. Clean park, level sites, good utilities, wifi & cell service (Verizon). They're currently expanding, adding a lot of new sites, glamping yurts, & a pool. Really nice game room!

Great place! The grounds are clean, and well maintained. The staff has been most hospitable. It’s a newer property and growing. Bring your golf cart and you can drive it all the way to the springs in about a 10 minutes as well there are many miles of golf cart friendly trails. There are at least 2 sets of buddy sites. The bugs are not bad at all, which was a pleasant surprise We will definitely camp here again.

Facilities were clean. Sites had nice space between, not just a packed parking lot like many RV parks. Driveways are gravel not sand. Laundry mat was not yet completed, so be aware. They have one washer/dryer you can use but it is constantly in use. Clubhouse will be awesome when completed. Nice paved sidewalk right across the street that goes for miles. I would stay there again.

This place was great! Full hook up 30/50 amp and a dump station if u happen by and need to use it. Super friendly staff very accommodating for everyone. The buddy sites were awesome. We had the site with the gazebo and smokeless firepit and a big area for kids to play. The bath house was so cool and having internet to strean football on Thanksgiving was a plus. Very close to tubing itchetucknee so we will definitely be back for the summer. This place will book fast for tubing season so u better get in quick! Ryan was great thank you again we had a grear time!

The best campground we’ve ever been too!!! The park is beautiful, the sites incredibly spacious and easy to back in and the prices are great!! The Camp Host was eager to help and answer any questions and was great to chat with. But the most important part of this review is the owner, Ryan....we had some tow vehicle trouble on our way so I called to let them know we’d be late...he asked where we were and about 15 minutes later a truck pulled up and it was him!!! He came to see if he could help us out.....he was kind and just an all around wonderful human being. We got the truck fixed and when we got to the campground Ryan and the Camp Host were sitting there waiting on us and were so happy we’d made it!! The world needs more people and businesses like this!!

This is a great place, quite and clean. Ryan the owner is just getting started but has all the right plans. Lots are large, level, and nice. I will definitely be back here. It is 1 mile from ichetucknee springs state park entrance. Even though he has a couple of things still going I cant wait to see the lodge he is having built. Good luck Ryan and I look forward to returning very soon

Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. We stayed on their first weekend open, and enjoyed meeting the team working there, and loved having the place almost to ourselves. The spots are spacious and level. Can't speak to the coming amenities, but after speaking with the owner, it sounds like they still have great things to come. We liked being so close to both entrances to the Springs. We will definitely be back, on future trips to the Springs.
