Definitely enjoyed our stay here. Read the directions on the website to avoid some tiny roads. Amazing views from our campsite.

I’ve been full-timing in an RV for the last three months (out of New York originally). I came to this area because my daughter was moving into Pittsburgh University and this was the closest place I could find (40 minutes) since I was here to help settle her in. Originally I spoke to Gary, who was incredible. He was so nice and informative and I went with it right away and booked it because of his customer service. When I came here, Gary helped me find my site, helped me back in, etc. It was just a really nice experience with him. As far as the actual park, again, I haven’t full-timed in my RV for long as of yet, but I can say this is the absolute quietest, cleanest, and well-maintained RV park I have been to thus far. They have a laundromat and sell wood and ice as a convenience. Even more importantly, they have GREAT WiFi. Super fast for streaming day or night. This I know for a fact is rare, but they did it. The grounds are very open and free from tree cover. I have StarLink and intended to use that, however I kept it packed away cause it’s not needed…the WiFi is awesome here and free. As I write this review, I’m sitting outside around dinner time, and all I hear is crickets. Although there are many RVs here, it’s so quiet that it’s mind boggling. I highly recommend this RV park…very nice park with very nice employees/owners.

This place was clean and the owners/management were spectacular! Quiet. No loud parties etc. Next time we're in the area we will stay there again. Thank you campground team. You made our stay very pleasent.

Peaceful and tranquil, this campground is atop a mountain and overlooks the Alleghany valley. Tarentum is really close with a lot of amenities, and Pittsburgh itself just 20 minutes away. You'd never think you're near a city, though, when you're up there. Gorgeous sunsets, hosted by a really dedicated and sweet family who pride themselves in their business.

This was our second time at this campground. We like the area and the views from the edge overlooking the ravine are beautiful. Fabulous sunsets. Pay shower only, but nice enough. Wifi not so good. A bit noisy - kids talking up a storm late, and too close to neighbors running AC all night long, had trouble sleeping. Not much to be done about that, I guess. But we will go back - owner was nice and helpful and again, views were terrific.

Super nice owners, great communication, very quiet!!!!! And yes, you are on top of a mountain, lol. Great views. This campground does not have a lot of frills; which is exactly what we love! Not a fan of highly commercialized and loud campgrounds. Definitely worth staying here.

We absolutely loved this park. We stayed here about a year ago, and it’s still one of our Top 5 parks. Great people, great music, and great location. We hope to be back soon. Check out our full review on our YouTube channel!

Gave myself a mini vacation by renting the cabin for 3 days. Quiet, peaceful, thoroughly enjoyed myself. The owners are always available by phone for any needs from fire starters to toilet paper. I loved it here! I will be back!

This was more of an experiment staying at Mountain Top as we live ten minutes away. We have two very young golden retrievers and this was their first camping trip. I would say it went "alright" but one of them was bladder shy and both of them barked at other dogs. We also discovered that you simply cannot travel comfortably with two larger dogs and two children in a truck. Luckily, again, this was a ten minute ride to and from home. Ok, on to the campground. The road in is a little treacherous, thin at times and a slightly stew winding incline on the way in. There are signs, so it was easy to find. Once there, drive slow as they seem to apply new limestone often on the driveway...quite dusty. The staff (who presumably live on site) are all very friendly and helpful. Greg helped me back into my spot and then explained the entire site and park to us. We had a "rim" site with a view, 30A electric, water (shared via a splitter with the neighbor), and a gray water dump hose. Have to empty your black tanks at the dump station (also tricky to traverse with a longer rig). It's not a very large campground by any means and there really isn't anything to do but the view from the back of the site was breathtaking for western PA. There is a fire ring and picnic table at the site with about 20' between sites. Gravel parking pad with grass picnic area. Our site was level but we did see some others that had more stabilizer blocks on one side than the other. Almost everyone there had dogs and they were all on leashes from what I could see. There is a free bathroom, pay shower and pay laundry, fire wood and ice for sale as well. Large field with music stage and disc golf area but that is the extent of "activities." This is a great spot for people in need of a place to "sleep" for a couple of nights either on their way through Pittsburgh or with plans for things to do in or around Pittsburgh. Great spot for quiet and peaceful bird-watching. Would recommend. We camped at Mountain Top Bluegrass Festival & Campground in a Travel Trailer. (UPDATE): As of April, 2022, they've added sewage to a few of their sites. This was a welcome add as we didn't have to use the dump station that was quite treacherous to approach. It's possible, but tight between trees around a corner. Service was top notch, yet again! Stayed for two nights in April in our 40' fifth wheel.

Deffinatly lives up to its name. But campground is very nice, well maintained and nice restroom/laundry room facility. Beautiful views.

Our favorite camping experience. Quiet. Fantastic views. Close enough to the main road to make it easy to access, far enough away that you can't see or hear it. Perfection. Wonderful hosts.

Don’t pay any attention to some of the complaints you may have heard in Reviews. The new owners are addressing the issues. We are staying here (we leave tomorrow 5/21/22). This place is awesome. Clean, well maintained and the owners are great. Would definitely stay again.
