I was treated as if I was a fool, that I didn’t know what my vehicle was worth. They offered me $28,900 for my 2024 Tacoma SR5 with only 12,000 miles. Why do so many car dealerships try to make a killing on a customer rather than making a reasonable deal? I was ready to buy a 2500 series truck but I can guarantee you it won’t be from McSweeney.

Worked on my truck 6 months and never fixed it. Stay away!!! Bought a brand new Silverado from them. Less than a year and a half in the transmission starts to shutter between 40 and 80mph. Truck was still under bumper to bumper and powertrain warranty. First I was told there might be the wrong trans fluid in it and I needed to pay for a trans flush. Didn’t work and they broke my window visors. Had to beg for a loaner vehicle. After a month or so they replaced the torque converter and that didn’t work but told me it was fixed. Nope. They replaced the motor mounts and transmission mounts. That didn’t work either. Software updated. Still broke. So after begging for another 4 months they brought in a mechanical engineer from GM who said replace the transmission. It took over a month to get one and then guess what? Still didn’t fix the issue. GM’s answer for the situation? It’s within their acceptable tolerance and to send it back to the customer till it breaks. I requested GM to buy it back and they declined. I was called at 3:30pm and told to bring back the loaner before 5 or else start getting charged for it. My windows had been left down and my seats had started to mildew. I took my truck home and it starts skipping second gear when I’m leaving my driveway in the mornings. I take it back to McSweeney and their solution to the problem? We’ll trade you out it for a new Ram and tac on another 20 grand to what you currently owe on the broke Chevy I’ll never do business with these people again. They went through three different service managers, probably 5 service advisors and a General Manager within the 6 months I had to fight them. I had calls and emails ignored and was made to feel like since I’d bought a vehicle from them I didn’t matter anymore. The new GM John is a condescending prick who thinks you owe him something. The Sales Manger Cameron is a pretentious asshole. I was told I’d be taken care of and that the McSweeney’s would contact me to make it right. I’ve still not heard from them and it’s probably for the best. They claim to love and support the military. Sure could have fooled this 28 year Army veteran! Buyers and people in need of mechanical repairs avoid this place at all costs. I’ll walk the rest of my life before I own another GM product and wouldn’t recommend shopping at McSweeney for anything other than to see how crooked a car dealership can be.

Wow, what’s breath of fresh air working with Jake and his team at McSweeney! I have been looking at vehicles for probably 6 months. Thought it was time the past few weeks to get serious. I have sat in dealerships wasting hours with them trying to sell me this or that and not focusing on what I want. I found a vehicle on their website. Negotiated over the phone and text. Jake had the vehicle there ready and cleaned when I went to test drive and we finalized the deal. In and out in about an hour! I definitely recommend them! It was laid back easy and smooth transaction.

Purchased a vechile on 11/22/2024 it’s not 12/09/2024 spouse leaving parking lot after purchase check engine light comes on so he backs up to service center to leave car and it’s been there now for 18 days phone call after phone call maybe in 2 days it will be ready or no return call at all. They were kind enough to give us a loaner car for me to drive but it’s a new vehicle and has the check engine light on it also. Maybe time for arbitration since we cannot get any answers about the car we purchased it’s been 2 weeks since I wrote this review today 12/26/2024 and we had one call from sales man car would be ready on a Monday and this was entirely untrue my husband received a call that the loaner car needed signed paper work and I had been sent 4 emails stating that again untrue unless they have wrong email address and I have a phone so no email needed so I returned the loaner car because I was tried of getting untrue stories now the car is some where in Birmingham al about 40 miles away and no progress calls because they could not handle repairs I will be connecting with a attorney next week to find out our options I understand garages work gets behind parts delivery maybe slow but no progress report for over five weeks is ridiculous or telling things from different people that are not true we are making the first payment and have not had the car stay away from here
