Leslie is the absolute best! She made the process of purchasing my new car so easy. She is patient, has the ability to answer any and all questions, very personable, very educated on the vehicles and the process as a whole. We have 6 kids and when it comes time to purchase cars for them, we will us Leslie EVERY SINGLE TIME! I definitely recommend using McSweeney and ask for Leslie.... you won't regret it!!!! Worked on my truck 6 months and never fixed it. Stay away!!! Bought a brand new Silverado from them. Less than a year and a half in the transmission starts to shutter between 40 and 80mph. Truck was still under bumper to bumper and powertrain warranty. First I was told there might be the wrong trans fluid in it and I needed to pay for a trans flush. Didn’t work and they broke my window visors. Had to beg for a loaner vehicle. After a month or so they replaced the torque converter and that didn’t work but told me it was fixed. Nope. They replaced the motor mounts and transmission mounts. That didn’t work either. Software updated. Still broke. So after begging for another 4 months they brought in a mechanical engineer from GM who said replace the transmission. It took over a month to get one and then guess what? Still didn’t fix the issue. GM’s answer for the situation? It’s within their acceptable tolerance and to send it back to the customer till it breaks. I requested GM to buy it back and they declined. I was called at 3:30pm and told to bring back the loaner before 5 or else start getting charged for it. My windows had been left down and my seats had started to mildew. I took my truck home and it starts skipping second gear when I’m leaving my driveway in the mornings. I take it back to McSweeney and their solution to the problem? We’ll trade you out it for a new Ram and tac on another 20 grand to what you currently owe on the broke Chevy I’ll never do business with these people again. They went through three different service managers, probably 5 service advisors and a General Manager within the 6 months I had to fight them. I had calls and emails ignored and was made to feel like since I’d bought a vehicle from them I didn’t matter anymore. The new GM John is a condescending prick who thinks you owe him something. The Sales Manger Cameron is a pretentious asshole. I was told I’d be taken care of and that the McSweeney’s would contact me to make it right. I’ve still not heard from them and it’s probably for the best. They claim to love and support the military. Sure could have fooled this 28 year Army veteran! Buyers and people in need of mechanical repairs avoid this place at all costs. I’ll walk the rest of my life before I own another GM product and wouldn’t recommend shopping at McSweeney for anything other than to see how crooked a car dealership can be.

Wow, what’s breath of fresh air working with Jake and his team at McSweeney! I have been looking at vehicles for probably 6 months. Thought it was time the past few weeks to get serious. I have sat in dealerships wasting hours with them trying to sell me this or that and not focusing on what I want. I found a vehicle on their website. Negotiated over the phone and text. Jake had the vehicle there ready and cleaned when I went to test drive and we finalized the deal. In and out in about an hour! I definitely recommend them! It was laid back easy and smooth transaction.

Purchased a vechile on 11/22/2024 it’s not 12/09/2024 spouse leaving parking lot after purchase check engine light comes on so he backs up to service center to leave car and it’s been there now for 18 days phone call after phone call maybe in 2 days it will be ready or no return call at all. They were kind enough to give us a loaner car for me to drive but it’s a new vehicle and has the check engine light on it also. Maybe time for arbitration since we cannot get any answers about the car we purchased it’s been 2 weeks since I wrote this review today 12/26/2024 and we had one call from sales man car would be ready on a Monday and this was entirely untrue my husband received a call that the loaner car needed signed paper work and I had been sent 4 emails stating that again untrue unless they have wrong email address and I have a phone so no email needed so I returned the loaner car because I was tried of getting untrue stories now the car is some where in Birmingham al about 40 miles away and no progress calls because they could not handle repairs I will be connecting with a attorney next week to find out our options I understand garages work gets behind parts delivery maybe slow but no progress report for over five weeks is ridiculous or telling things from different people that are not true we are making the first payment and have not had the car stay away from here

TERRIBLE. DO NOT GO! The most unprofessional car salesman I’ve ever encountered. I drove 2 hours for one vehicle, they did not inform me had damage and also was in the shop for two months prior. They also changed trade in value for my vehicle by 6,000 just for that one vehicle I drove down there for. Worst experience ever. Go somewhere else.

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service and Lack of Support I regret to say that my experience with Mcsweeny has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I purchased a truck from them, and after encountering issues, they kept it in their service department for two months. During this entire time, I repeatedly requested a rental vehicle to keep my business running, but instead of offering me a truck—which I desperately needed as a construction worker—they gave me a car. As a professional who depends on a truck for daily work, a car was completely useless to me, and this was made clear to the dealership multiple times. Despite my ongoing efforts to communicate my needs, they offered no real help or solutions. The lack of understanding and support from the staff was absolutely unacceptable. After two months of delays and frustration, I am completely dissatisfied and will never be returning to this dealership. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with them to think twice before trusting them with their purchase or service needs.

Apparently, their definition of an appointment is different than mine. Had an appointment early in the morning and here I am at closing waiting to get my vehicle. I already knew what was wrong with the vehicle (display quit working) now they want me to pay them to tell me the display isn’t working? How is this fair?

Bad experience!! I came in and looked at a car on a Friday afternoon and the following Monday my husband sent in an offer to the salesman. After a couple of hours the salesman says he spoke to his manager and sent a text to let us know that someone else is purchasing the car for more than they have it listed for. We were disappointed but understood. We would’ve paid full price for the car if we weren’t lied to. Weeks later the car is still for sale on the lot and the price is more than they originally wanted. I’ve dealt with a lot of car lots. I’ve never had such a bad experience. I’ve never had a problem with anyone selling me a car. I watched the website and social media and the car was there for a month. Not one person ever called me. I guess they were ashamed to after they lied and said someone else was buying the car, but apparently didn’t. A couple of weeks later they go up another $1,500 on the car. I guess at any point I could’ve picked up the phone and called them to say I wanted to purchase the car, but after being lied to I really don’t care to spend my money at a place like that. I’m just shocked and wonder why they didn’t want to sell the car to us.
