I only stayed here 1 night while passing thru but the park itself is really nice and the staff was very friendly. There are 2 reasons that I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 and both are out of the parks control but do hurt the experience. 1st. is that it appears that the locals use the street in front of the park as a drag strip at night and it woke me up several times. I was there on a Saturday night and maybe it is only on the weekends but it was an issue for me. 2nd. was when exiting the park there is a concrete median so to get back to the highway you have to go down the road and turn around which isn't always easy. My Truck and 5th wheel are 62' long and making a Uturn is not the easiest. other than that it is a very nice park.

Excellent little park. Perfect pull through for my big girl. Class A towing a jeep. Didn’t have to disconnect. Very clean park. Laundry room was excellent. Several places to cook out and gather. I walked my dogs around the little lake. The wife and husband that run the campground were so nice and efficient. We will be back

Me and my husband stayed here for 5 months . While my husband worked. The place is peaceful. It's close to about anything you would need. The pond is loaded with fish. The area they have set up around the pond is perfect. Everything is well maintained. Only thing I would suggest is an area for children to play.

It's near an airport, so not super quiet. The sites are very close to one another and the showers were broken and not recently cleaned. Service was prompt and kind however and it is a convenient place to stay when passing through. There are a few neat amenities like a giant chess board and connect four with a nice sitting area, however the area is very swampy and the mosquitos are out in force so bring bug spray!

This place isn't really a "resort" in the typical sense. It's convenient to the interstate and check-in was a breeze. The sites are just a drive thru with no frills. It was fine for us because we were just stopping overnight. But there weren't any tables, fire pits, etc. I believe there was a communal area, but we didn't receive any papers at check in to tell us what was available. There were a lot of geese and their babies which was super cute. I'm giving it 4 stars because it served our needs, but if we had a bunch of kids, etc it wouldn't have been a good choice for us. Oh, and the area it was located at was a bit sketchy. Just be aware of your surroundings. The campground was packed so we felt safe.

I would not stay here if I was you. Reason #1-you can not get a hold of anyone in the office. Phone says no matter when you call, "I'm sorry the the person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time". God forbid there is an emergency. You are packed in like sardines. When we arrived early afternoon one orange paper hung on office door. Gave us minimal information. #2 There is dog crap everywhere in grass areas, despite waste receptacles spaced out nicely. #3 Advertises Wifi but you can't get it. If you are lucky and get it on your phone all it does is buffer. This is deceptive advertising!! Not everyone has "Hotspot " availability and for you to state that is how you can get Wifi is illegal when you advertise Wifi is part of your experience there. **Just heard from them. I stand by my assessment but since it under new management I'm sure these issues will be addressed and will be a delightful place to stay. Thanks for responding to me.

Traveling across country and found this gem! We accessed the park via westbound Hwy 80 and although traffic was heavy, there were plenty of stoplights to safely cross the eastbound lanes into the park. Arriving late afternoon on a Wednesday we found the new managers, Trish and Blake eager to help direct us to our pull-through site (#402 - crushed rock, level and 120' to accommodate our big rig plus long trailer). The utility connections were perfectly placed for easy access providing strong 50 amp service and although we did not use it, they offered complimentary wi-fi and cable TV connections. The amenities included a large bathhouse with ADA-accessible showers & toilets, fee-based washers & dryers, community "Grill Hub", concrete fire pit area with comfy Adirondack chairs, a large covered "Hangout" with (tall tables and even a TV) plus a catch & release lake! The other patrons appeared to be a mix of overnight travelers, families and extended stay RVers. After a peaceful nights rest, we awoke to birds chirping and the gentle hum of a distant train. Exiting the park to access Hwy 80 west appeared to be a challenge, however Trish & Blake directed us to take a right turn out of the park, a quick left turn into a large Circle K parking lot with large driveway access to westbound Hwy 80. Easy!! Looking forward to our next opportunity to enjoy all that this RV park has to offer!

Backyard has been a stopping place for the last 8 years. It is so convenient for us on our way to Gulf Shores and later Florida. It’s easy to exit 65 South or North and only minutes from the Interstate. Clean restrooms, laundry, plenty of water pressure, 30/50 amp service, WiFi, and cable tv. It’s moderately priced and well worth it. I give it a 10 out of 10.

Not bad. Not in a great location, but we didn't have any problems either. A bunch of the fence has fallen down which gives a feeling of junky and lack of security. Inside the campground there is a cool hangout area with plenty of yard games for the family. We had fun. The manager was a bit abrupt when he saw us driving around. He didn't realize we were registered and was not welcoming. The lady in the office was a gem though. The bathrooms have different codes for men's and women's, good thinking. But they have us both codes, which we needed, so I'm not sure it really matters...?
