The park is a beautiful park and grounds are well taken care of. The host was very nice and helpful. The only downside to the park is no cell service. My phone was on SOS most of the time. Which isn’t great with bad weather and not being able to get a warning.

Wow it is a very nice place to go camping with your family...you can fish and swim at the beach area at the river ..they have a playground for the kids to enjoy also..me and my wife will be going back there to camp more in the future as well....

Stayed at Prairie Creek on both sides of my travels. Beautiful quiet campground. Traveling west we had site 14 and traveling east had site 6. Most of the sites are on the water with fire pits, picnic tables and tall trees for shade.Bathhouse vey nice. Laundry room is available with just one washer and dryer. You won’t be disappointed!

Prairie Creek Camp Ground Corp of Engineers Lowndesboro, AL Most of the sites back up to water. Either the lake or river. Three bath houses but one was closed - from appearances it hasn’t been open for a long time. Sites offer water/electricity only. Our site was concrete but there were some that were gravel. Sites offer picnic table and fire pit. We did not see any fire wood for sale. No Park merchandise. Small number of sites are pull through. From what we could see all offer some shade. If you bring a water craft there are a number of boat ramps easily accessible. Roads are in good condition and we saw a fair number of large 5th wheels and self drives. There is NOTHING nearby, so bring what you will need. We were at site 22 and had one bar with AT&T. Went for a walk to the main road through the Park and had two-three bars. We stayed during Easter weekend and it was quite busy. There is a dump station with dump sites set up for either exiting or entering the Park. Large dumpster, the only one in the Park was right behind the dump site. We went to throw our trash in and the dumpster was overflowing. We did not visit the bath houses.

Disappointed ! Felt like the whole campground was dirty but especially around the hosts area. They need to clean up!! Lots of trash everywhere and during hunting season the whole place was full of hunters. No families at all. The guys across from us killed a deer and just left the carcass laying under the trailer for days ! It was upsetting!

Great spot if you like to be in a natural setting. The campsites are spacious and wooded. The Host were very nice. Looking forward to visiting again.
