We stayed at Prairie Creek over Thanksgiving. The campground is gorgeous but we encountered an issue and nothing was done about it. My family camps all over the south east with our 3 pups and my service dog. I follow campground rules regarding always on leashes 24/7, leash length and we clean up waste. While walking throughout the weekend, campers had their dogs running free. No leash rules were enforced. Twice I had dogs rush me and my service dog. The first instance the loose dog knocked a girl off her bike and hurt her knees. The second instance, I almost fell due to the loose dog. That would have put me out of commission for the weekend. I was also very worried about my kids walking their little dogs. After that day, we did speak to the campground host. It appeared they did nothing because dogs continued to be loose all weekend. It came down to us being unable to enjoy our stay and we had to walk our dogs in a small area of woods to avoid the issue. Its very frustrating that people can’t follow the rules and when they aren’t enforced. When I asked the people to please get their dog and put them On a leash, they stood there and stared at me. We will be hesitant to stay in the future. Very disappointed because it’s a beautiful facility.

Best place to go if you love fishing. Fish right from your campsite.👍

We often come camping here because it's close to home. The campground features camping for RV's, Tents as well as a wooded tent camping area. The RV sites have water and electric hookups. There are 3 shower/houses 2 of which have laundry facilities. One is a bit older but still in working condition. They keep the bathrooms relatively clean as a camping facility can and stocked with paper. There are several sites with piers as well as nice fishing decks. There are two play grounds but no swings. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. The office sells ice. We always have fun and feel comfortable enough to allow our child to roam and play. The park doesn't have much for hikers but there are some places that can be explored like the old day use picnic area down Whitetail Trail and a few wooded areas but no official hiking trails. This park is great for family fun. It also has a boat ramp and fish cleaning house.

One of our favorite destinations. The mountain bike trail and remote/primitive campsite is amazing.

Nice campground in past. This weekend was not so. No supplies in bathrooms! It's always "someone else's job" when you found an attendant to mention issues to. Host needs to retire.

It's is pretty here! But last night I went to take a shower in the ladies restroom. I was surprised to see a man & his dogs in ladies shower area. Aug. 23,2018 We reported it to our area camphost. As to happened last night. They said to report it to main office. Also around 1:15 We reported it to manger at Perry Creek front office. I just want to let you ladies know. And to be aware. The duck is cute! It looks hungry. Maybe they can call an area zoo to see if they can pick it up.

Very well kept, no problems. The site I got has a street light, didn't care for that. No big deal I'll make sure to get a darker site next time. Caution if you plan to get in the water there's about a 10 foot gator patrolling the water so keep the kids close.

this place was great, the sites are huge, tons of room between sites, the bath house was clean, the staff friendly. if you want to get away from it all this is it. no reception on cell or spotty, far from any stores. so if you go, make sure you have all you need need. a trip to nearest town is a good 30 minutes away. great place for fishing.

Nice place little on the pricey side and hard to find tent camping areas
