5th time there. Men's showers pretty minimal. Ones by the pool have never worked. Pool ice cold this year and hot tub, more like a petri dish. Great propane service, wonderful location. Emptiest we've seen it. Still like it but... seems to be slipping a wee bit. Sign of the times. Would probably stay there again, hoping they put some time into the pool area, like they do the golf course.

We enjoyed our brief stay at Desert Trails RV Park. We love Tucson, and it's one of our favorite spots for the winter. We tend to stay at the neighboring park Justin's Diamond J, which has a little simpler and more open feel. However, we were impressed with all of the amenities offered at this park: showers and laundry, dog parks, a pool, and plenty of areas for gathering and activities. They have a thriving community with a calendar of events -- including concerts -- and we particularly love that the park backs up to a beautiful trail system leading to Tucson Mountain State Park. It's also in a great location near Saguaro National Park, the newly reopened Old Tucson Studios, and the Desert Museum. Check our YouTube video for more details on the park and surrounding restaurants and attractions. *Note that this is a 40+ park.*

Desert Trails RV Park is a hidden gem in Tucson. Located just outside of Saguaro National Park, the RV Park has a lot of amenities: showers, swimming pool, workout room, library, clubhouse, kitchen, game room, and scheduled activities during the winter. It is surrounded by several scenic bike and hiking trails. Everything is a bit rustic but works fine. Our full hookups worked and we had no problems. The WiFi worked fine on all our devices. The RV park is a winter resort, so you'll have more difficulty finding reservations between November and April. However, during the summer, it's practically empty - which is great if you want privacy. Jesse runs the place, and she is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this RV park.

Overpriced shabby campground |||New owners only out for money. ||The manager caters to snowbirds.||We were forced by manager to move one lot over due to the lot next to us rented to someone else. Our truck was in the shop. We were told by Manager to get another resident in the RV park to move us.||Some amenities claimed on website are fictional||Nonrefundable $200. deposit.||No off-season discount, No activities during the summer. ||The snowbirds organize the activities and food trucks during the winter season.||Dog areas not kept up during off season. Dog waste throughout park.||Very close to the free BLM area||No security, Travel trailer in storage area stolen, travel trailers stored on site broken into.||Mail and packages are outside in the open and subject to theft. ||Most of the Society disrupter/Snowbirds, looked down on full-timers. ||At least once a week the water was turned off due to repairs, Utilities need serious work, electrical post have no circuit brakers. Decay is faster than maintenance.|Wi-Fi was just terrible.||Fees are high, very high for this level of service and product, facilities are overpriced and poor.|

i have read the UNTRUE reviews i have seen this place before and after new ownership. many improvements have been made as well. most of this grumbling is due to people wanting things as they were. and the new owners have and are continuing to make this place a wonderful experience. it’s completely natural and so majestic. if you stay here i promise you won’t regret it. and jessie the manager is very attentive to the parks needs as well as being so nice. she runs the park like a well oiled machine. so i’m not sure what’s going on with these reviews but i’m here to tell you it’s a wonderful place to come in the sonoran desert. very reasonably priced safe and already reserved for the 23/24 season it was 100% full of happy campers when i was there from oct 22/may 23 with a abundance of activities and social activities. bands food trucks and so much more

I read all the reviews on this park prior to booking. A lot of negative reviews from long time residents under the old management. We were looking for a layback place out of the population, had a bad experience with +55 parks and my husband being younger than they wanted, and gay to boot. So we booked here after talking to Jesse and confirming we were good to go. Booked 5.5 months from November to Mid April. The place is amazing and natural on the back door of the park and most sites are great. We have a 35' travel trailer. Folks, for the most part are friendly and will stop to chat. Lots of pups and 2 parks for them, that could use upgrades. Jesse, the manager, is an absolute sweetheart and busts her buns everyday, in spite of the odd charm free guest. We have rebooked here for the entire fall/spring season 23/24. Looking forward to seeing newly made friends again. My only 2 issues are lack of wifi in most areas of the park (they are working on that), and frequent water shutoffs due to a myriad of problems, not short of idiots backing over standpipes. So when you get there, fill your fresh water tank for emergs. Glamping its not, a great place, it is.

Perfect location for hiking! The campground is clean and everyone was friendly. Showers and bathroom were fine. We heard gunfire from a nearby shooting range and occasional road traffic, but that wouldn't keep us from revisiting this park.

Campers were stacked in around each other unless you get a deluxe site. They did have a food truck on site. We stayed 4 days and was ready to leave. Just wasn't relaxing. But if your there for riding in the desert with your motorcycle or side by side this will be good place to stay.

Good location for outdoor adventures like mountain biking, hiking. Near Tucson Mountain Park, Desert Museum, Old Tucson and more. Spaces are decent, some have more room than others. Showers and bathrooms are well kept. There is a local "community vibe" you can't help but absorb as you walk around. Most everyone says hello and welcomes newcomers. We received advice on trails and attractions.

This is our spot we stay for the winter in Tucson! The owners are awesome and everyone is very friendly. It’s a snowbird community in the winter months.

I would not recommend this RV Park, the sewer smell is over powering and the owners will not take the necessary steps to resolve it. Also there are piles of removed dead landscaping throughout the park that does not get picked up and hauled away. The prices have gone up but maintaining the park is not a priority for the owners.

This park needs new management. They know about a sewer smell that is absolutely disgusting for sites V-5. V-6, V-7, and V-8. They claimed they had the sewage tank emptied and we showed them the odor has not gone away but they are not doing anything to actually fix it. I am sending a complaint to the Health Dept as the people staying in one of the sites became very ill staying there and they continue to rent them out. Disgusting.

Nice campground. I don't agree with comments below. The WiFi is almost good everywhere. There is a lot of activities for those who like that. Quite place. No need to put the bikes in Truck, the desert is right next to campground. For the pool, yes the heater is broken. Good Food Trucks on site some nights. A place to come back .

This used to be our favorite park and this would have been our 12th year! But since being sold it has gone completely downhill. No upgrades, no WiFi unless you sit in the rec hall, no activities or entertainment unless organized by people staying there. The observation area was torn out and was supposed to be replaced. It is still a dirt hill with wires and broken glass and huge ravines from the rains. Owners are not honoring signed contracts and are increasing rent for the 2nd time $100/mon. The pool has had issues for the last year and is currently closed. Different clientele than in past years with some theft in the park.
