We just stayed one night but positive experience. Biggest downside is tight lots, many back-in only. Aside from that this place hits all the basic stuff right on the nose. It's super reasonably priced $32/night full 30 amp hook up, website rates matched actual rates, phone not answered but automated system indicated that late night self check-in sites would be available (and they were and check-in was quick). Numerous public bath / shower locations. The one we used was clean and well-lit. Park was super quiet, wifi was strong and reasonably fast with an easy to remember password. We got exactly what we paid for without any hassles. Would stay again.

The front desk is amazingly nice, great communication. There is a full calendar of activities to do including yoga and tai chi. The spots are somewhat close together, power was clean, 3 separate wi-fi access points to connect to.

Owners and ancillary workers are so friendly, helpful, and caring. There are many things to do on the grounds. Landscaping is established and so plentiful. A wonderful place to stay and will do again

Friendly people, helpful staff, hiking trails into the desert, reasonable rates ($30/day as of this posting). You could do a lot worse than this park. Beyond that, DT has various clubs, a pool, 2 dog parks, clean hot showers, food trucks every few days, and on Tuesdays and Fridays, professional entertainment (donation requested). Excellent shows! The whole park has wifi, although it can be spotty at times. Some of the people here have been coming back for many years.

i got there in the middle of the summer it was HOT but there was beauty everywhere. it is a 40+ park but they didn't give me a lot of grief when my great grand nephew came to visit for a week but again there were very few people there in the middle of the summer. We spent most of our days away from the park visiting Tucson attractions and walking around taking pictures. Lots to do even in the summer but I was led to understand they do even more when the snow birds arrive and the park fills up. I will say the pool is kinda small but they have a lot of laundry facilities scattered throughout the park plus many other facilities I didn't use the gym but it was available as was a pretty decent lending library I am more into science fiction but there was a great selection of Western, romance, horror, and nonfiction. There is a nice gathering place where it is obvious they did arts and crafts plus a really nice outdoor area where you could pretty much hold a family reunion (lots of grills and tables) the dog runs were in great shape and well monitored I picked up after my dogs and it seamed as everyone else did too or the staff kept up on it. All of the staff were very friendly and although I am lousy with names they would always say hi and call me by name. San Joaquin road is a little rough but it is being worked on as is Bopp (rough but being worked on) if you come in from the east I would tell you to use Kenny to Bopp to San Joaquin. Bopp is probably only 2000 feet or so from the entrance on San Joaquin its the four way stop sign.

This place is a dirty place to stay. So dissapointed after all the good reviews. Dogs bark all night long. We went to the Monday morning meetings and the owner complained about how unusually hot it was and hot it was costing him so much money for people to use their A/C. The buildings where the library and laundry rooms are are basically ready to fall down. On the ups side the people who come here are all basically very nice and friendly and have been going there for years.

Traveled from Florida to California and never found anything like this place. Best staff and best neighbors with a huge range of activities too big to document here. My wife and I loved it and plan to return year after year.

While I am a satellite installer that comes to install at rv parks like these, I can say that they usually have a line of sight for your satellite TV antenna most of the time that is, if your dish is mounted on the ground. there are very few areas where it may seem like a tree or two can block the signal for your ground mounted dish, but i have had no problems getting customers satellite TV services up and going. So I guess I can say that yes, this is a great place to rent too if you have satellite TV services. If you have something like a winegard mouted on top of your RV, then line of sight will be easy to get for your satellite TV dish antenna.

I have to pick up stakes and leave tomorrow, and I'm actually sad. I will miss being at this friendly, fun, slightly quirky RV community. Pericles, the owner, is absolutely devoted to his customers. At last weekend's sock hop in the Rec Hall, where most of the 50+ residents were boogieing to oldies played by a five-piece band, Pericles turned to me with a big smile on his face and said, "I just love seeing my customers having fun." He means it, too. He has informational meetings on Mondays at 9 am, complete with coffee, donuts and apples, and, believe it or not, almost every seat in the room is filled. He makes the meeting extremely entertaining. My favorite aspect of Desert Trails' amenities has been the live music performances, which usually happenTWICE A WEEK! Pericles brings in really awesome musicians, convincing me that Tucson has an amazing music scene. I've heard bands here that I will be following in the years to come. Crafters have an entire building open to them all week long. Classes are offered in various skills. Another building is dedicated to yoga, stretching and other fitness classes. Bocce and blongo courts are popular gathering places, especially during happy hours. There is a library, a pool, and a TV lounge. And of course, bingo nights attract a lot of residents. I love the showers, which are tiled floor to ceiling and have rain shower heads. Laundry facilities are clean and well-maintained. The exceptional staff works hard to keep the facilities and grounds clean and the park's business running smoothly. If I had more thumbs, I would give a better rating, but as it is, I give an enthusiastic two thumbs up.

Everyone from the staff to the guests (snowbirds) are super friendly and helpful to newbies. Excellent entertainment top shelf and the bi-weekly food trucks are an inspiration and worthy of a 3-4 star rating.

Kids have summer camp, adults have winter camp! There are so many group activities and things to do here (book club, sewing, shooting, leathercraft, hiking, biking, photography, writing, OMG so much). I stayed in February and early March and had a great time. Food trucks were nice. Live music twice a week. The hiking trails were well marked. Old Tucson Studios close by and well worth a visit. Lots of museums and things to do nearby. Fun people, but roll up the streets at 10pm.

A really nice park. This one has just about everything you could want in an RV Park. The staff and the campers were all very nice and personable. The park is very pet friendly, with plenty of spaces to exercise your pets. The park backs up to a state and National park area, which is filled with hiking and Mountain Bike riding trails. It is in a big city, but totally secluded.

We have been coming to this park for 14 years every winter. The management is so pleasant and so helpful. Even the newest guests feel like family. Lots to do in the park and near the park and it's in a beautiful desert setting with hiking paths, etc.
