Grand Canyon Trailer Village RV Park

We really enjoyed this park, which is walking distance to the rim of the Grand Canyon - I walked about 15 minutes to Mather Point, one morning at 04:45am, to see the sun rise over the Canyon. The pitches are pull-through and a good size, and the Park is nicely laid out. It is close to everything and cell phones had good phone and data connections. The Canyon shuttle buses, on the blue line, stop at the entrance to the Park. And the elk do hang around the pitches! A good place to stop for visiting the Canyon - which was amazing! Great campground. Paved and unpaved RV lots. Paved have grills. Some sites have a good amount of shade ... others little to none. I know there are tent sites but we only stayed in the RV side. Some campgrounds have hook up and non hook up sites all together but not here. All paved sites where in one section, all hook up gravel sites in another and tent camping was down the road further. The campground was nice, quiet, and the breezes felt great! We will definitely camp here again. There is a shuttle bus that will take you from the campground to the market (awesome market), the lodge/restaurant, and the rim.

Great stay, easy checkin, pull through gravel site (somewhat unlevel), quiet, free transportation comes to campground, a lot of shady spots, plenty of trash disposal stations, full hookup no problem… would definitely recommend this park inside Grand Canyon National Park…. also had a wonderful dinner at El Tovar…. Highly recommend eating there,

Worth the convenience of easy access to the rest of the park with lots of walking paths and shuttle buses. Close but level RV spaces, big laundry area, regular security patrols.

Great location inside the park. You are walking distance to some trails. Also you can walk to their store which has everything you can possibly need. As we visited Grand Canyon before this was just a relaxing stay. And what better way to relax than to sit at your site with a coffee as Elk roam through!

Great location in the park for camping. Close to lodge and market place. Short drive bright angel and s. Kaibab trails. There are a few trails leading out from the campground. If you have pets the spots closer to the ends of the road are perfect. Lots of Elk wandering through the campground.

Nice pull thru spots, beautiful wildlife (elk) wander right in. Concrete pads, easy leveling only full hookup in the park, big rig friendly.Check out my other videos on Buck's Blog on YouTube !

Showers are off site so be aware they're not in the trailer park where you'll be staying. We didn't even use them once we found that out, and a pickup camper shower isn't the nicest when you had planned on using on-site ones, we survived but advertising was a little off on this. The receptionist in building "A" was very short with us and seemed annoyed, most all the employees that worked at the park as a whole seemed like they disliked their jobs. I believe there's a portion of them are under a work/visa contract, they were much nicer and more accommodating than the local help. Now onto the trailer park. Our spot in trailer village literally had duct tape holding the meter in and the gfci 120v plug didn't work. Luckily they gave us an adapter to borrow from 50a to 30a (like they clearly knew this was an issue). The electrical pedestal also was a safety hazard for people, primarily the curious child that could be pokeinh around. It was missing breakers/covers so you could literally touch exposed bussing. The shuttle system from trailer village was also a joke. Everything you will read says they run every 15min after sunrise. We were waiting one morning (after sunrise) when another group walked up and asked how long we'd been waiting. Maybe 5min at that point. They laughed and said the previous day they waited 30min. Sure enough, 30min later the shuttle finally shows up. Mind you this visit was in April 2024. No snow or ice was present on the roads either. Just kinda a bummer when you're going to a cool place just to have everyone be in a bad mood and the trailer park/ shuttle system in shambles. I hope this review doesn't just fall on deft ears but things could definitely change for the better really easily. If you're having to choose between zion and grand canyon, zion was so much more organized and clean.

Nice central location to all of the activities. Very close to the marketplace. If you need to get anything to eat groceries or anything you forgot. Fantastic amount of walking and bike trails. Recommended. Bring your walking shoes or your bikes makes getting around 10 times faster and no parking problems. Do be prepared for weather changes. It can be very hot during the day and very cold at night. Bring all your different types of clothing. All sites are pull through and very easy to access. The only trouble we had was with the first site they put us in. We had electrical problems and ended up having to be moved to a different site. We had pretty good Verizon cell service. Wi-Fi is only available up at the visitor center. Overall we had a pretty good stay the electrical problem put a damper on that for a little while since it occurred at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. Hopefully they will get that site fixed so nobody else has that problem. Make sure and make your reservations early. We were here in April and had already made our reservations. 3 months in advance. Site was full most of the time we were there.

The location was very convenient to walk or catch a shuttle to the trails and other services. We were disappointed that the showers were not conveniently located and the bathrooms were not cleaned or resupplied in the 2 days we were there. Spaces were fairly small. You are definitely paying for the convenience of being close by and not for the amenities. The Grand Canyon was breathtaking, however we didn't realize it was spring break (we were there last weekend in March), so it was very crowed and took away from the enjoyment of our hiking experiences.

We chose Trailer Park Village in Grand Canyon National Park for its’ proximity to the trails, shuttle system, and other park features. It was money well spent. The park is pristine and staff drove by often, keeping it that way. The bathrooms were clean, water was hot. Check in was a breeze and the staff were super helpful about best places to catch the best views. We had a great time here and would stay again.

We absolutely love Trailer Village! It is clean, well-kept, conveniently located, and there is never a shortage of wildlife walking around. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else at the Grand Canyon.

We stayed at this park from March 26 through April 9, 2023. We did experience some snow fall during our stay, and thankfully we had our heated hoses, as we did encounter some neighbors that were unprepared and had frozen hoses and pipes. We booked our site online. They don’t give you a site number until you arrive at the park. The staff members were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful information about the area's attractions, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. We ended up with site H-47, a pull through with full hook-ups, that was a bit snug to our neighboring RVers on either side. A bit more space between them would have been appreciated for added privacy. We had thought about requesting a different site, but decided we would make it work. On the plus side we didn’t have any trees that would block our Starlink from being able to connect. The RV Park offers a range of amenities to make your stay comfortable. Full hook-ups, including water, electricity, and sewer, ensure you have everything you need. There is a laundry facility to keep your clothes fresh. While there isn't a dedicated dog park, the surrounding area provides ample opportunities for exploration. It's worth noting that the trash bins along the streets tend to overflow on weekends, a minor inconvenience stemming from the park's popularity. There's also a general store nearby where you can stock up on essentials if needed. Keep in mind that it's located in a national park, so it's not a five-star resort. Given the unbeatable location and proximity to the Grand Canyon, the pricing was reasonable. However, it's important to note that you're essentially paying for the privilege of being within the national park. The value lies in the unique experience of being so close to one of the world's natural wonders. The sunrises and sunsets at this location are truly mesmerizing, casting a spellbinding beauty over the landscape. Stargazing here is an absolute must, with the unspoiled night skies offering a breathtaking celestial spectacle. During our stay, we were treated to numerous wildlife visits, which added a delightful dimension to our experience. The presence of wildlife truly enriched our visit and provided memorable encounters with the natural world. If the opportunity arises in the future for us to revisit, there's no doubt that we would choose to stay here again.

Although we visited the canyon, many times, we didn’t realize there was actually an RV trailer park within the national park we regretted by a herd of six elk when we first arrived. Campground itself is about a three-quarter of a mile walk to the Canyon rim. the campground features pull through Seitz and full hook ups about the only negative comment I can make is that the bathrooms could use a little updating

Fantastic location, the Rim, visitors center and free shuttle busses are all within walking distance!!! There are beautiful paved bike paths. Elk are a daily visitor.
