I made this reservation as a last minute notice so I could not cancel but believe me when I got here I wanted to. I was looking forward to laundry and showers which this park has none of either. So when I found out I couldn’t get my money back I just want ahead and stayed. Also my first lot that I rented 167 someone was already on it so I had to call and have them switch my lot to 161. ||Got up this morning after my first night and found a letter on my window saying that no one supposed to be on this spot and for me to either email the office with my confirmation number or pay. Well I’m not paying twice so I emailed the office which I got an email back that they are closed which I understand at this time but they would answer my email if they get to it. What’s the use of telling me to email them to show my confirmation number if no one is there to receive it? I actually forwarded their own email back to them with my confirmation and told them it has been horrible since I’ve arrived here and not to harass me anymore because of their lack of record keeping. Check in was online also they should have that. Stay away!

Great camping area that is fully paved with no amenities. Very easy hook up, pull thru, entry and exit. Convenient to all Hoover area amenities. No staff at all. Everything is online. It's a quiet mystery.

Very nice and clean park for those needing access to Hoover Met sports facilities. Everything is flat, no dirt/gravel and there is no shade for those needing relief from the sun. Easy driving access to lots of eating places and/or shopping.

Paid $44 per day. Did not accept any discount memberships. Visited in late November with no reservation. Half empty lot. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). We stayed in spot 87. It's a flat, clean, well lit lot. HUGE playground that was just built last year for the kids right next to the RV lot. The power and water are conveniently located in a modern pedestal. The sewer is a little tricky to attach because you park on the asphalt and the sewer is up on the curbed island. So it takes a bit of work to get the required downward slope for gravity to do its job. Most people had something stacked on the asphalt to build up to the level of the curb. Each island has a large trash can. No restaurants, grocery stores or gas stations right next door, but it's only a few minutes to a couple different strip malls. Seems like a very nice area. Docked a star for a hidden phone reservation fee. Payment and arrival info was confusing because there wasn't a check-in desk so we arrived at the park and called them to see where we could park (half the lot was empty). They took our info and then said there was a $4 per day fee for booking over the phone. We asked if the fee applied to online orders and they said yes. But after checking the online reservation system, there is no fee. So save $4 per day by just booking online!

I experienced the situation as "auugmobile". I tried calling several times but no one ever answered and they have no voice mail to leave a message so I booked my reservation online. We were buying a Motorhome and planned to stop one night on the way home at this park. We had some problems and I needed to cancel the reservation. I called a gazillion times...no answer, no way to leave a message and I could not cancel online. If someone had answered on my first call, I would have been in the frame time for a refund (48 hours notice). Nope, finally someone answered a day later and said sorry we can't refund your money.

Late reservation due to long travel day so partly my fault for not doing more research on this property. But the lady on the reservation line lied to me in saying that the site I reserved was 40ft long. She sounded like she had been drinking too much or something. The phone call took about 30 minutes because she kept repeating herself. The sites are super snug together but the area is nice. Parks and ball fields all around. Needs better management.

Our reservation was for one (1) night, a Sunday. On Saturday, we learned we could not keep the reservation and attempted to contact the campground to cancel. However, we were directed to the reservation line- 605-275-1980- which is only available Monday - Friday. We tried the campground direct line, and again were advised to contact the number above, which had no voicemail options, nor any option to change the reservation.||||We have never encountered this type of service at any campground in the country. ||Therefore, we were charged for the night because no way to cancel.||||We will NEVER attempt a stay here again, and will post our negative experience on every review site on the Internet.

This was a great camping space it's pretty much just a big parking lot but no one bothers you any size camper will fit they're just fine with an extra car it's very easy to make your reservations online and pick your spot I highly recommend it

Like other reviewers noted, this place has no real management. We show up at the end of a long day on the road expecting to pull right into the spot we picked close to the splash park and there's another camper in our spot, with no one answering when we knocked. We then drive around comparing open spots to ones that looked available online in an attempt to park in a spot that didn't result in someone knocking on our door because we took their spot. We realized during this that half the people occupying spots either didn't pay for them or the online map is incorrect, showing the spots as available. Seems like no one here checks anything or cares, and most people here just show up and park, after all who's gonna do anything, right??? Might as well try reserving a spot in a Walmart parking lot and see how that goes, you might actually get better security and get what you paid for there, definitely not here. I'll never be a paying customer here again.

Nice paved sites. Docking station on site 1 and 2 needs repair. Great little find close to downtown Birmingham. Clean. Watch low tree limbs on right side of road off hwy 150.

Went to barbeque event and was very disappointed. No where near the vendors they had predicted. None of the professionals were open for sampling. Several of the non-professionals were out of food within the first 45 minutes after opening. Primarily went to support the cause. Thanks

I was so afraid this would be a concrete jungle but it was not! While there are not a ton of trees the area is still very nice. The management is wonderful and very accommodating! Guy Carney should be commended for doing such an excellent job! We stayed here from January to May and enjoyed every minute. The park had opened right before we left and it was a big hit with the kids! We went everyday! Now the splash pad is open so I'm sure it's even better! The other campers were really nice and friendly. While there are some long term people there most are just passing through. I loved the location. It's just a hop, skip and jump to Target, Publix, Wal-Mart and lots of great restaurants! You will enjoy your stay there! Thanks guy for a great stay!

Good place for teens to practice driving before taking the driver’s license road test or to just get use to the vehicle they will be driving. Also great basketball court at the Finley Recreational Center, where it’s free to play for Hoover residents.

We love to come to Hoover to cheer for our LSU tigers. This Rv park is the perfect location to stay for the Sec baseball tourney. So convenient to the stadium and lots of other activities. ||Gut and his staff are awesome.

The new splash pad and playground are amazing. They did a wonderful job. Lots a shaded spots, benches, and some picnic tables, a large play area. Water fountain that has the water bottle refill option. Recommended!
