The place was nice last year horrible this year. No bouncy pad, canoes are gone, sand box gone ,pool closes whenever they want to close it, store closes early when they feel like it. The management smoke in the pool area n drink even thou there's signs saying not to. Children 15 are supervising 10 year in the pool even thou it says adult supervision under 15. The 15 is not an adult our 17 was not permitted to watch her 6 year old sister in the pool. Rules seem to apply to only certain people. All the staff that has been there years quit or got fired. They talk about the staff that left. Definitely not friendly. You go in with a problem n are told if you have an attitude they aren't dealing with you. I was there 16 months I pulled my camper out n left a storage container I didn't have room in the camper for. I called to tell them I would be back for it only to find all my stuff thrown in the garbage. All the kids skate boards, scooter, helmets, basketball etc. Quiet time is at 10:00 but hear managers daughter n her friends talking loudly at 12:30. Pets are not allowed at other campers site unless you are the manager. They don't follow rules they make n if you break a rule you're out in 5 days no refund. The activity lady Casey who worked free quit, barely any activities now. Definitely not a good Koa should be renamed to Johns campground. Grass all high roads are terrible. Definitely running down Koa name. I've stayed at many n definitely different. I was told my camp site needed cleaned up when others have garbage, boats, toys n all kinds of junk.

Spent a weekend at this campground! I do not recommend it. They had no water at 830! Somebody wasn’t doing their job! There is a heat wave that was going on and no water… I paid a lot of money for a site and no water. Never have I ever been to such a dump like this. The road into the campground was horrendous. Staff was outside smoking and ignoring customers! Speed limit signs up saying 5 mph and nobody is doing that…including employees. Store is not stocked and very unorganized. Pool has grit at the bottom and hair floating everywhere…..definitely not clean. Bathrooms were flithy and no paper towels or toilet paper. The amount of noise coming from the far end of the campground, all night long…swearing and loudness was beyond ridiculous! This place is an absolute mess and SHOULD NEVER EVER have the luxury of being a KOA. Absolutely a poor excuse for a campground. I did call the number to call about the excessive noise and nobody answered…went straight to voicemail. Horrible!! Just don’t stop here..go further down the road and find another campground where you will get what you pay for.

We stayed 2 nights and had a really nice time. Everything was clean and well maintained. Kids had a great time fishing in the lake and the one worker even helped my son untangle his line. Some of the sites are smaller and on hills but nothing unbearable. They have a fenced in dog area with 2 separate play yards that our pup enjoyed some off leash time at. The salt water pool was wonderful. Crystal clear and refreshing with grass all around instead of all concrete! The night before we left they had music and a great bonfire. The walk up th huge hill to the office can be a bit much but you're camping in the mountains so it's not unexpected! We traveled into the city and the ride in wasn't bad. It took us about 45 minutes. We would definitely recommend Koa Madison!

Electrical pole had incorrect breaker. |Said 30 Amp, it was a 50 amp. |Took two tries for it to "turn on", thought it would fry my RV. |First KOA to not escort by golf cart to site. |Sewer pipe was broken. |Check in ladies were outside smoking upon arrival. |Very unprofessional. |Two stars given due to meeting really great guests staying one night like me. |Not returning.

My Fiancé and I just became a member of KOA. We decided to go away over Memorial Day weekend. The KOA experience was very nice. We spent the majority of our time fishing at the pond, which is awesome that you don't need a fishing license. The staff that I spoke to were very friendly. Even though some of the staff quit and only a couple are currently running the place, I think they are doing a great job. Everything was very well maintained and clean.

No longer have jumping pillow was is still listed on the site. Cancelled all activities for the weekend except a band which h my kids could have cared less about, which was Memorial Day weekend, the kick off to summer smh had a band in which a staff member wanted to sing with but couldn't do one kid activity? Store is not close enough to walk up. Staff and manager was not friendly or welcoming what so ever. Walked in to two ladies who didn't even say hello and had packs of cigarettes lighters and energy drinks sitting there. If you love the whole KOA feeling of family and friends, welcoming and friendliness, this does not cut it.

A well run campground, nice and friendly staff. The office/ store is well stocked with a large variety of camping needs , propane and 24 hr laundry is available.

We stayed at this KOA campgrounds for 3 nights in order to tour Pittsburgh. The campsite was well planned out. It sits on a hill. It has a swimming pool, playground, lake and a jumpy thing. The journey into Pittsburg was very straight forward. The campground was well kept, except the road coming in which had a few pot holes. Everything was clean and taken care of.

Great RV camping experience. Was able to experience this Campground in early - mid-march when most campgrounds are closed. The campsites are well-maintained. Clean and large laundry area. Camp store stocked with the basics. Friendly and accommodating staff. Only negative was the pothole strewn driveway - needs some major upgrade.

No dump station???? I just wanted to pay my fee and dump my tanks. I really don't understand how the sites can have black water hookup, but no ability to let someone dump. The Flying J truck stop let me dump for free since the water was off in preparation for freezing weather. The lady at KOA wanted to help me but short of renting a spot was the only way I could dump the tanks for 60 bucks.

We had a 2 nights stay with our 45’ Motorcoach and tow. Quiet location. Easy off and onto I-70. Our site was pretty level as it is located on a slight slope. The grassy area on our site #7 was sufficient. It also had a slope down to our neighboring RV site. Packed gravel site, picnic table and fire ring. Road going into and out of the park itself are a bit rough. Waltz Road was fine. The only KOA sign was at the entrance to the campground. Staff was extremely friendly and their fire wood was excellent! Enjoyed our stay! Had dinner at Rodney’s Restaurant in Irwin. Really Good Food and Service.

Overall not a bad stay but it’s a lower level KOA. You can tell a lot of things are dated and need updated. The permanent guests don’t seem to be held to a standard. The campsites are full of trash and really look negative on the park. A lot of potholes on the road coming in.

We recently stayed at this KOA, & it's quite, & a perfect location for the wedding we were invited to. It also worked out great for us as we like too attend different renaissance fairs. The Pittsburgh renaissance fair was only 7 miles away. This was our 1st time at this fair, & this KOA location. I was very please with the value, & how clean the site was; Also it seemed to have a bunch of upgrades. If we are ever in this location again we'll put this at the top of of our list of KAO's to stay at.

The site is beautiful, restrooms are clean and there are a lot of attractions for children and grown people. The problem is that when we arrived (6.30 pm) everything was closed and there was already nobody for checking in. Outside the swimming pool and the pond there were big signs with written closure time 9 pm, but at 6.30pm they were closed! Maybe we arrived in low season period (Aug 30th) and attractions opening time are changing, but they should put some notice on the website and they should change the timing on the signs...
