Have stayed here several times, and always been satisfied. Well-managed. Convenient location. Reasonable prices.

we are here for a week. small park, hard to get into, spots are sand like covered, not gravel. one washer and one dryer worked, we went to a landemat in town, it was nice, shower are sub par compared to the industry. we showered in our RV.

Middlefork is a pretty little campground with beautiful views. A walk along the small trail surrounding the park takes you on a stroll along the crystal clear stream flows on the north and south sides of the campground. It’s refreshingly quiet and everyone we met was friendly. The manager keeps the bathrooms and laundry room clean., although I recommend wearing shower shoes in the communal showers. There is a small game room on the property with a ping pong table and you can pan for gold in the creek. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the dryers in the laundry room are terrible and never dry your clothes completely, regardless of how long you dry them.

Pay attention to where you need to turn in which is the grocery store's parking lot and then you go down a drive. The signs are small. Not level and had to go buy more blocks. Overall a pretty nice place and location excellent. Breckinridge was a very easy drive!Make sure you have your blocks to level your rv!

What an unexpected surprise. I had no idea that the park is bordered by a most wonderful rushing river. 27 of the 44 sites back up to the Middlefork South Platte River and there is River access, a lovely river side walking path, and even a catch & release trout pond. At first I balked at the $60 a night rate, but I was so impressed by the level sites, clean bath and laundry rooms, and of course the relaxing sounds of the rushing water behind my rig, that I'll be stating there again for sure!

Nice park. Big variations of site sizes. Friendly host. Trout pond, gold panning in stream.

It's horrible for tent campers, do not waste your money on a.cramped site. A tiny row of rocks separate you from your neighbor. You face the highway and just listen to traffic. The bathroom is so far away,, you would need to drive there in an emergency.. I originally booked a RV site and was talked out of it by whoever was in the office and am so mad at myself for listening to him. A Saturday night in August, I couldn't find anywhere else to stay. I will never come here again and if it wasn't for the nice lady in a camper next to me and the fact that someone didn't book the middle tent site, I would have rather slept in a parking lot. UPDATE: Marcus at Middlefork RV Park contacted me and apologized. I sincerely appreciate that he did and cares. So Thank You! He informed me that they are putting bathrooms in the upper site, etc. In the review, I didn't mention that as I walked through the park with my dog, they have lovely RV sites. I would have been perfectly happy in any of those. People were friendly and lots of places to walk your dog. It's conveniently located to town and close by is a market with everything that you need. A brew pub is also close by that is not dog friendly so I didn't go but it was recommended by my neighboring campers.

Good location. But, for tent campers a bummer for the price. In the only stall in their bathroom, I felt like I was back on the submarine. No water close by and a trip to the bathroom was quite a jaunt.

Beautiful views; clean park; reasonable laundry (well; the right hand dryer works wasaay better than the left one). Friendly staff.

I, as a rule, never post a negative review. I often will post a good one when the customer service is good or great but if I find the business lacking, I don't review them at all. That being said, the manager of this RV park was the rudest, most sarcastic person I've dealt with throughout the travels in our RV which has been extensive. No one can predict when they will arrive at any facility when traveling on our American highways. Bad road conditions, traffic, RV issues, flat tires, a myriad of things can happen that will cause you to arrive late and many of us who travel in RV's have experienced this. It's common. The majority of RV parks will have an envelope waiting for you with instructions to your site, asking you to arrive back in the office to square any costs, etc., the next morning. If not, they will call ahead to see when you may arrive. Neither of this happened at Middlefork RV park. We were not that late, arriving well before sundown but apparently shortly after the office closed. It matters not. The manager approached us with a scowl when we arrived after calling for directions because the RV park sits in a low spot off the highway with a sign that isn't easily spotted from the road. When we pulled up, his first comments weren't, "Welcome", or "I hope everything is alright", or even just, "Here are your papers to park. Come see me in the morning". This character was annoyed at our arrival time and made it quite clear. Our greeting was, "You're keeping me up!" It wasn't a joke. He was dead serious. I immediately responded with. "Well, we are cancelling the next night with you then. His response was, "Well, you can cancel but you won't get your money back". To make a long story shorter, we left the next morning as early as possible. We did not feel welcome and ate the cost for the day. This guy has no business running an RV park. He's a jerk and I've read other reviews that mirror mine. We may have very well enjoyed the park and the area but his rotten attitude destroyed that for us before we even parked our rig. If you don't want to deal with this kind of sarcasm and rudeness, avoid this RV park.
