It's a fun place to stay. You can fish, gold pan on virgin ground. It's great. I love staying there. Nice place and reasonable prices. Friendly people...

I am considering accepting a job offer in Summit Co. and a move back to the area. With the housing as it is out there am considering a 5th wheel as a 1st step. Denise went out of her way to assist me and spent about half an hour giving me open and honest advice and quoted reasonable monthly rates. You can tell she really cares.

Nice little park on a fast moving stream. Sites are gravel and fairly level. The hosts were very nice and lent us an extension cord for our site since the post is not well placed. They have equipment you can borrow to pan for gold in the stream. There is a brewery and market right up the hill. The only negative I had was finding the entrance. They have no signs and you'd never find it in the dark. From the light at RT9, you have to go into the market's parking lot and then go right paralleling the road, then down the hill. Otherwise it's a nice spot.

If I was only rating the park, it would get 4-5 stars, because the park itself is really great. Unfortunately, the people running it (a full time work camping couple - not the owners) are what make this a 1 star rating. I feel ashamed they are fellow Texans. For starters, we reserved a spot a little over a week and a half out, and were confirmed for the spot for all three nights we would be there. When we arrived just after check in time started, we discovered (even though the park was half empty) they had given our spot to another camper who just arrived a half hour before us, and only was staying two nights. So they put us in a different spot. We didn't complain, or say anything, just went to the new spot. During our stay, they did none of the normal things, like showing you to your spot, or seeing if you needed any help, or anything. Just gave me a map, and marked where we were to go. They were never friendly, and if you waved, they ignored you. The man did drive around a lot, glaring at campers. It made my wife feel uncomfortable sitting out in our chairs trying to enjoy the outdoors. When I rode out of the park for a bike ride, and passed him on his cart, I heard him say, "damn cyclist!" When we were leaving (well before checkout) we noticed one of our brake lights was out. We stopped on the way out because there is a auto parts store right there. I went in, got a bulb, changed it out, and put the car in "drive" (total of less than 5 minutes) when the man pulled his golf cart next to us. He didn't ask any questions like if we were ok, or anything. He just started yelling that we couldn't park there. I told him we were OK now, thanks for asking, and he again screamed, "This is a private road. You can't park here!" I told him I know, I just paid for the privilege of camping there and using the "private" road, which he knew because he was watching us, and rode his cart up to stop us and yell at us even though we were leaving. We had a brake light out, but I fixed it, so we were going. I started to pull away, and he yelled again for us not to stop, and not to come back! That is a real shame, because the park is nice, and we will be in the area for the same event next year... looks like we'll have to stay at a different campground. I will also encourage others who will be doing events in Fairplay to skip this campground, because they really don't want your business. TO THE OWNERS OF THE PARK: you have a great campground, you just need to pick better people to run it while you are gone.

It's a good, clean park with friendly staff, and outstanding WiFi. The park doesn't look like much, but the small river makes a soothing sound, and I had hummingbirds every day. It's also central to many known and hidden attractions. I will be back.

Nice camp-host, clean place and everything works well. We also had a great view of the mountains from our back window in site 32. Lots of pretty daisies. It’s a dirt parking lot though. Trees have been planted, but it will be years before they provide shade. Worth going for the cooler weather. Breckenridge is about 30ish minutes away and worth the drive.

The campground hosts are friendly and welcoming. They take care of every camper every hour of every day. We appreciate the well kept grounds. They never stop working and it shows. Some spaces don’t fit the bigger rigs and had a few other issues, plus moving around the sites multiple times.... they worked it all out for us. We didn’t mind. Glad they were accommodating us. Loved walking our dog down to the rushing river and quiet little pond and also letting him climb around on the rock mounds past the dog walk. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed watching the storms roll through. We’ll be back for sure. Oh and Thanks for letting us boon-dock 1 more night!!

It's a very nice park, nestled in the mountains, and not far from good food, great scenery, and fun adventures. The only downside is the lack of cell coverage (only Verizon works here), but the park has the best WiFi I've ever had in any RV park - which mostly makes up for the cell coverage. 285 is congested on the weekends (again, not the parks fault), so come in on CO 9 if you're coming from the south (thank me later). Don't overlook the town of Fairplay - they have excellent food, gifts, and more hidden around the town. But, if you need to go to Breckenridge or Denver, they're not too far away. The park hosts were friendly and helpful. Enjoy the 70° days in the summer - open your windows and let the breeze cool you off. I will be back, soon.

This was our 1st time here and didn't know what to expect. We only planned to stay 2 days but were (luckily) able to extend and had a really nice 5-day stay at Middlefork RV. Met the camp hosts and the owners. All were super friendly and helpful. I liked the clean bathhouse and the fast internet - a must-have. Our space backed to the river and was quite relaxing while I read. Having a grocery store so close was handy. I forgot a few ingredients and sent the hubby to the store. He was there and back in 10 minutes. We already booked another 3 days in September for fishing and aspen viewing

2nd time visiting this RV Park and both times were very nice. Super clean grounds and bathrooms, beautiful fish filled ponds and a raging river!!! It will be our go to spot only 70 miles from home!

Nice place. Clean bathrooms and laundry facility. The people are VERY friendly and helpful. Its near some great food, grocery, and brewery. It just needs a little better signage to help newbies get in. And the WiFi... is incredible... the best of the trip.

Tried to contact this place about monthly rates. When talking to the lady, she said call back in 2weeks because we are under new ownership. So I waited. Called again only to find out that they raised their prices from $775 to $1650 a month. Outrageous!!!! The new owners don’t want to accommodate for a reasonable price. I’m more than willing to pay a decent amount but not $1650.

Good people, some spots are a little small, and good laundry/shower facilities. The dog park is not a park, it is a circle of rocks and wood chips. There are also no bags available to even pick up your dogs waste. If you are going to live here full time, have a plan for insulation below your camper. We froze our pipes the first two nights here because we hadn't gotten it up yet. Good location and within walking distance to the Rock Top Plaza.

Nice place, good prices, friendly staff. I like the fact they are still open in colder weather. Open all year where so many close down when cold weather hits.

I always try to be honest and fair with reviews. This campground is clean and they've done some nice landscaping. I think their price is too high however. The bathhouse has mushy floors and we worried about falling through and the stalls are tiny. They put us in a site where the dump station was literally adjacent to our door and picnic table and they charged us full price. The staff was friendly and it is convenient to Hwy 285 and stores and restaurants.
