This is my Colorado home. We have stayed here for many years. The campground is neat and well laid out. Campsites are large and easy to enter/exit. Showers are clean and the staff are like family. The only reason to not stay here is if they are full and if that's the case, I'm sorry. Book early cause everyone else knows they are great too.

I love this place. It is situated on tailings from an old mine . . . so appropriate for this area! We opted to stay in a site with electric only that was right next to the South Platt river where we could open the windows and let the sounds of the river lul us to sleep. They have catch and release trout ponds for fly fishing. My husband caught 10 nice trout yesterday. The sites are good sized: quite long. Most are pull through. Some things to know ahead of time: no big trees, you can choose between full hook up and electric only, there's showers, bathroom and laundry; it's located on one of the best fly fishing streams in the state; a full sized grocery store is at the top of the hill. Drawbacks: getting from the store parking lot down the hill is tricky. The parking lot is busy and the turns are tight. Some people are living in the park full time and going to work, if that matters to you. Highway noise can be an issue if you are not further back in the park. There is one washer and one dryer. I would come back to this park any time. We were here for three days and had a delightful stay.

This RV park was Great! Clean restrooms, laundry facilities and literally walking distance to everything! We actually camped instead of using an RV... I highly recommend anyone passing through to stop in for hot showers, strong Wi-Fi signal and a cool mountain vibe!

Great location/Great price We stayed here for more than a week. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us. The staff is friendly, the river sites are peaceful. The campground is quiet at night. It is located behind a shopping center (short walk) with a great brewery, hardware store (L.P. available), auto parts store and a nice grocery store (the only one for miles). There are places to get fuel with a camper hooked up and it's close to many Forrest Service sites. Breckenridge is an easy drive too!

This place is pretty great! The reason I gave it a 3 instead of a 4 is because being a resort you would expect more and nicer amenities (compare to Mountain Dale in Colorado Springs). They do have some fun activities like a ping pong table, gold panning, sluicing, fishing (both river and stock pond), and a game room with board games. They also have private shower stalls which are great! The washer and dryer don't allow for much laundry and the washing machine spin cycle wasn't working during our stay. There is a laundromat right up the road. The ground is mostly sand/dirt so everything gets covered in dust. Fairplay is the town the park is located in and it is every bit a small town. A. Small. Town. There is one grocery store which is decent (my wife really doesn't like it) and it is walking distance from the park. The park is really really affordable, though! So, it is with every penny! We'll definitely stay here in the future. Just go into it eyes wide open. The proximity to Breckenridge combined with its affordability makes it a perfect stop!

Gold panning, fishing, and great staff! Beautiful paths next to the fishing pond and gold panning area. Quiet and fun place to camp. The owners take pride in this campground and it shows.

The park itself isn't the prettiest, hidden behind a small shopping center, but the views are spectacular and the workers are some of the nicest people we've ever met. They have a little fishing pond on one side of the park and a river on the other. It's dirt/gravel drive and camper spots that are pretty level. They have laundry and such and are currently building a little clubhouse style cabin in the front. If Andrea is still working there give her a big hug from Ashlee Zotter please!

A nice, clean and friendly park. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. High speed internet a plus, and the walking path next to a brook is pretty! Because the park is down in a river valley the traffic noise from the highway is minimal. There is a well stocked grocery store very close as is downtown Fairplay, restaurants and other shopping. Great place to stay!

5 stars for the gorgeous river running alongside the campground, leading to a trout pond with hiking trails throughout. They are also dog friendly so bring them with you!! This is just preference but I would suggest you use your own showers/bathrooms as they are not in the best condition. There is nothing in the surrounding area besides family dollar and a small town diner with a "brewery". Overall though, great campground.

We made a reservation here and thought we had made a mistake.... This is no resort, It's a gravel parking lot with fishing! On the plus side, there are a few sapling trees....Enjoy your outdoor experience, lol!

Friendly. Convenient location in town. Shower and laundry available. Fun pathway with rock art by trout pond. The river is on the other side of the park. Catch & release trout fishing. Gold panning. Picnic tables and fire pit. It'd be nicer if the spots were a little wider but was satisfactory.

We drove 172 miles yesterday round trip because our reservation was given away, or not scheduled correctly! Our last name is Black. We called a hour and a half in advance and our reservation was scheduled.we were turned away and told to check the mobile home park next door! Ya no thanks! So we drove home. Wasted $80 in gas and all we got was an I'm sorry? Wow

Very nice for the price. Wi-Fi does okay and the bath house isn't to shabby. The river right behind us was also nice to listen to. Overall the experience was memorable and we will definitely come back.

Stayed here for 3 nights, the camphosts (and all the guests) were very friendly. Access is very easy, although there is a nasty bump right before you enter the park (probably not the campgrounds fault). The property is very clean, with a river to one side and a stream on the other. The stream seems to be a place for both panning and fishing (neither of which I did). It is a very short drive to Fairplay, and a walk to the grocery store. The only problem for me was a lack of trees, but that was expected due to the location. If I every return to Fairplay, there is no doubt where I am going to stay.

We had a great experience here! The lot is just gravel, but the landscaping is promising, lots of young trees and plants. The managers were so nice and accommodating. They made sure everyone had a spot, and they were popular! The entrance is a little tricky, you have to go through the Prathers parking lot, but the road is wide enough and well groomed. The prices were very affordable. There was Wi-Fi, gold panning, and a catch and release fish pond, along with the usual laundry facilities and showers. I would stay here again!
