We drove 172 miles yesterday round trip because our reservation was given away, or not scheduled correctly! Our last name is Black. We called a hour and a half in advance and our reservation was scheduled.we were turned away and told to check the mobile home park next door! Ya no thanks! So we drove home. Wasted $80 in gas and all we got was an I'm sorry? Wow

Very nice for the price. Wi-Fi does okay and the bath house isn't to shabby. The river right behind us was also nice to listen to. Overall the experience was memorable and we will definitely come back.

There are 32 gravel sites – some are shorter than others, but we had no difficulty with our 38 foot rig. We had ample space for our slide outs, the site was level and we had both a fire ring and a picnic table. All sites are full hookup with 50/30/20 amp electric service. The pull thru sites are located in the front and rear of the resort, while the back in sites overlook the private trout ponds and the Middle Fork of the South Platte River, which was more of a rushing creek when we were at the park. Our site backed up to a cliff; a path led down to the ponds. The area is known for its gold panning and the park owners have an area where visitors can pan for gold (supplies must be provided by visitors) – Guests may fish for trout at the park or pan for gold! We had fun watching some guests panning for awhile. There is only one restroom to share. There is one toilet, two sinks, and two showers. There is also only one washer and dryer – staff with do laundry (wash, dry, and fold) for $6 a load, or guests may arrange to do self laundry for $3 (wash and dry). Free Wireless Internet access is supposed to be throughout park, but a big thunderstorm had knocked it out a couple days before we arrived, so we did not have that amenity. Our Verizon WiFi worked sort of well. We could easily walk up the hill to a small strip shopping center that has the South Park Brewing Pub, a local grocery store, and a True Value Hardware. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

Stayed here for 3 nights, the camphosts (and all the guests) were very friendly. Access is very easy, although there is a nasty bump right before you enter the park (probably not the campgrounds fault). The property is very clean, with a river to one side and a stream on the other. The stream seems to be a place for both panning and fishing (neither of which I did). It is a very short drive to Fairplay, and a walk to the grocery store. The only problem for me was a lack of trees, but that was expected due to the location. If I every return to Fairplay, there is no doubt where I am going to stay.

We had a great experience here! The lot is just gravel, but the landscaping is promising, lots of young trees and plants. The managers were so nice and accommodating. They made sure everyone had a spot, and they were popular! The entrance is a little tricky, you have to go through the Prathers parking lot, but the road is wide enough and well groomed. The prices were very affordable. There was Wi-Fi, gold panning, and a catch and release fish pond, along with the usual laundry facilities and showers. I would stay here again!

What a wonderful place for families. It has so much to do - gold panning, private fishing ponds, plenty of ground for kids to explore & walking distance to anything you might need. Management was great and always there when you needed them. Would definitely visit Middle Fork RV again.

Although I REALLY appreciated the help getting here from Frisco, at night... In the rain... ☔ (just fyi) it's a young park and has no shade trees... yet 😉. Which was fine for us since we came in late night. Managers are very nice, the surrounding view of the mountains and nearby streams are lovely. Prices are fair for no pool, jacuzzi. Entrance is a little tricky, it's straight through the only light, then to the right through the Prather's Market parking lot off US285 and SH9. Thanks for a late night place to plug in and allowing me to text you late.

We love this clean, family friendly park! The views are amazing and the area hiking can't be beat.

Nice people but the campsite is an elbow to elbow dust bowl. It is just a big open gravel lot. The stocked trout ponds however are full of big fish. Catch and release only.

Full satisfaction, very nice to have trailer cheap for full hookups decent bathrooms and has a washer and dryer and can go fishing and gold panning, very nice people running it and very nice places to go fishing around it. I recommend this place.

This is a great place to camp for short or long term. Friendly owners. Things to do in town, lots of unique fun unique shops. Place to eat Brown Burro. Highlights right at the park is easy access for gold panning and catch and release trout ponds. Well stocked.. Hiking and atving close by. Views are breath taking.

We have spent lots of fun days at this park. It looks like a parking lot from the highway, but it's amazingly quiet and there is lots to do here, with fishing in the pond, gold panning, and fishing in the river. The area is an outdoor playground. Owners are great people and we always enjoy it.

Spent 2.5 months at this resort during the summer and fall. Nice rv spots, laundry facilities and shower house. Reasonable rates and friendly owners. Lots of activities if you like, including fishing or gold panning. Location is right in town and close to grocery and local brewery. We really enjoyed our stay there.

This was a great place to tent camp. For $20/night I was provided access to a shower house, coin laundry, high speed wifi and access to the lounge room (all very nice). The only problem was the tent sites were on the gravel lot, this made putting tent stakes in the ground really difficult. Very nice folks who run the place!
