Such a cool place. I preferred the north part because it had more space. The grounds were all really well cared for. The pool was awesome and I almost always had it to myself. I'll probably stay here annually to visit family. Thanks you Mission Bay RV!

Had a great stay here this last weekend (mid February). The staff were great. Security was always present and roaming around. The entire area was clean and well kept. Other people staying were friendly and no one got out of hand. Are there a few homeless RVs and trailers in the area? Yep. But not too many. About what you see around any neighborhood nowadays. Did not affect my stay at all and was of no concern. To get in, you have to roll right by the security building. Will gladly stay here again.

I'm going to give it that fifth star. It was a wet week for us in San Diego so we didn't get to enjoy some things but that wasn't the RV parks fault. It did make our spot very muddy and nasty. However, the spot itself was great. In fact, it's the best spot in the whole RV park confirmed by the guy at the front desk when we checked in bf2. It's a 60x60 enormous RV lot. With all the amenities you'd expect. 50 amp sewer, water all that. The bathrooms were clean and accessible. I didn't see a general store or anything like that so that's a little bit of a negative but not enough to skew my rating. If you're staying in the regular part, it's just a parking lot and I'm not sure I would have given it five stars. You're very close to people and there's certainly people that are full-timer so lots of clutter going on but it's also level and it's concrete which means if we would have stayed there I wouldn't have to spend 3 hours cleaning all the mud off of everything that we have in the RV so there's trade-offs. The staff was helpful. They were present and around the grounds themselves were nice. The location is excellent. It's right next to a massive mission Bay Park and right next to the five freeway so you can get anywhere you need to go. I also really liked it was North of San Diego and that's kind of where we stayed and went to La Jolla and we went to Pacific Beach which is extremely close to the RV park as well as ocean beach. Just a short drive down. So we did enjoy ourselves. It's crowded. There's a lot of spots so if you don't like say kids screaming and having fun which frankly were not huge fans. We don't have any kids ourselves then. This may not be the place for you because it's very active but off season when we went it was relatively quiet and we had the benefit of that massive lot anyway. I do recommend it if you're going there anyway for us. We're probably done with going south. We live north of LA and Northern California seems to be more our speed. It's quiet, relaxed, comfortable and just less humanity to deal with. But if you're going to San Diego anyway and you're in a rig, this is a place to go worth going.

We had a bay view spot, and it was beautiful and quiet. Cons: The road to get into the park is lined with RVs(people live in these RVs), so it gets very narrow. The pool area is outside the gate where the public parking is. Pros: This resort offers peace and quiet, but if you want to party you can go next store to Campland. Mission Bay RV resort allows you to use all Camplands amenities.

From what Ive read from previous reviewers its a mixture of feelings! I remember running past this place 3 years ago during a half marathon NOT knowing it even existed. As far as getting into the park I agree with other reviewers, the homeless encampments prior to entering can be very intimidating and worrisome. Building a gate would be something to think about. I physically saw people entering in to use the facilities how they get the codes to the doors surprises me. I also physically saw SD PD patrol throughout our stay. As far as my first time here; inside the actual park and spot we got was perfect!!!!! We are extra cautious and triple bolt all our personal things. The place is still a work in progress, everyday we saw workers cleaning up older areas. There were alot of permanent campers, some had pets, which you could smell the ammonia from the urine. The north side laundry machines worked great BUT could use an update on the QR codes to use them IF you dont bring quarters. Our spot was perfect! Our stay was perfect! Our view was perfect! We will def. Come back!

Glorified Walmart parking lot with power they have an excellent staff that go out of their way to make you feel comfortable very clean facilities you're in a compound fenced area with security to get to the pool and spa you have to go out and up the road the worst part about the experience is driving through the homeless RV camp to arrive I do want to restate the staff are excellent and do what they can to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable

We walked on the public trail through this RV resort with our 15 month old. What a beautiful view! Loved it and had a nice afternoon. The only downside to this path is where the trailer homes used to be has not been updated and it's dangerous for kids -metal sticking out of the ground, bricks, holes, pokers, etc. just an fyi for anyone thinking of walking a couple miles on this trail! There are signs everywhere, but it's a shame all those people got kicked out of their homes for the land to just sit there ugly and un-landscaped at the very least!

The Resort itself was great. Staff was amazing to work with. The surrounding area (not in their control) and road on the way in was full of people living in RVs along Mission Bay road. The result is a feeling of not being totally safe and concerns for theft of outside items or our RV being broken into. This most assuredly is a San Diego enforcement issue, not the resorts.

Many of the "Rangers" are incredibly rude. Roach, skunk, and raccoon infested place. The monthly rate is more than a mortgage on a 2000 square foot house on a quarter acre in El Cajon. But the shorter term rates are even higher. I have had tools and extension cords stolen from here while I am at work. But instead of keeping the customers property safe, they give the customers a hard time. The staff makes a habit of never being on the same page and there isn't a rule in their handbook that the staff, mostly "rangers," don't routinely break themselves. They will complain about something and agree to a remedy just for a different ranger or staff member to complain about the remedy. There is nothing that these people will not complain about. That is when they aren't telling you what to do or treating you like an interloper or criminal. Not worth the exorbitant cost or the endless parade of headaches and lost property.

Nice campground in a great location on Mission Bay. Friendly, helpful staff and onsite rangers to help with any needs you may have. Safe environment for children to ride and play.

Where do I start? I think “trailer park” trying to be a RV park is where this place is at, definitely NOT a “RV” park…let alone “Resort” Utterly disappointed, I can understand why so many simply park on the street and avoid the near $100 waste of money. I’d venture to say 50% of the occupancy is permanent, moving from site to site with their trash every two weeks to appease the “mighty Rangers” (and yes I’m being facetious) As for the front office, well, depressing is all I can say… Definitely won’t be back.
