I never miss a chance to mountain bike here every time i go home to see family. Trails are fantastic and staff are always nice. We have camped here several times. I do wish the state would give them funds to upgrade the campground bathrooms/showers. They need it and deserve it. Fortunately the showers/restrooms at the main visitor's center are great and free to use!

Oak Mountain Campground is fantastic. We had a nice paved site which was perfect as this was a layover for the night. This campground has a golf course, archery area and a lake for skiing or wakeboarding along with kayaking/canoeing. Our site was near the bathroom and laundry area.

Amazing, wonderful park. The campground is spacious and clean. In all, a very pleasant experience. We just spent 5 nights there and enjoyed every minute.

This place is great!! The campground was full, but the sites are so spread out that people are not on top of each other! Will definitely be coming back again!

My sister and I had a challenge with my other sister who’s husband passed away in September and left her with a 40 foot Winnebago Itasca Soliel. Between the three of us had “0” experience of what to do to dump, cleaning the hose, etc. Art gave me superb instructions and I was able to do it but I wouldn’t have known what to do if it hadn’t been for Art. There was another person I spoke with the night before, his name was Carson. He gave me instructions on what to do to get there. He was very professional and friendly. If you need a great place to Go RVing Oak Mountain State Park Campground is the place.

We went to find us a good place to take our travel trailer. We have not been in over 15 years and the last time we were there we used A-tent to camp. This looks like a great place to bring our travel trailer and we will be doing that very soon.

Check in is smooth, the campground is very well maintained. We stayed on an improved tent site with water and power. Will be back up there very soon!!

This Campground, like most state parks, has a unique feel on its own. At first, the layout of the sights or a little confusing. It looks like when they updated the site they changed the direction of the parking slabs. The remnants of the old slabs are still there which make it kind of confusing. The bathhouses are quite small. There are three of them in each Loop. 1 shower toilet and two sinks in each male and female side. There is a sink in the utility room that you are allowed to wash your dishes and pots and pans in. Staff are very diligent in prepping each site before you arrive. WARNING: for anybody arriving after sunset, the back gate to the park closes at Sunset. There is no place for a truck and trailer to turn around and it is going uphill.

During this trip we have stayed in Mississippi, Louisiana & Alabama. Oak Mt is by FAR our favorite campground. Plenty of room, beautiful and helpful staff. We have 6 kids ages 12 down to 1 & they all loved it.

This is a Beautiful Park. Lots of Trails to enjoy. I wish we could stay longer. Staff is wonderful. Park is kept up very well. I would love to come in the Summer to enjoy the pool. We will definitely be back soon.

Campground with a bunch of space. Stayed here for a weekend with scouts. There are two geocaches near the campground which was nice. Only downside is that all the tent camping spots are behind the RV spots. Had to walk a very long way to get to the cars. The campground had many yellow jackets and mosquitos. The firepits are nice. The staff and volunteers were extremely nice.

Camping now. Amazing park. Laying here listening to two owls talking to each other. You'll want to schedule your arrival and departure so you'll miss rush hour traffic. One inside the park the roads are great.

Really nice place to visit. Dont go in June. Hot and muggy if you are tenting out! Still a place we would go back to in the fall or spring. Nice Spacious area around. Not on top of one another. Has a beach! No dogs allowed on the beach but pets are welcomed! I recommend. Employees and volunteers were really nice and helpful! Price to stay in a tent is not bad either! Dont know how much RV's are.
