Stayed here in a 28 ft trailer in mid May. The park is a little run down but we liked it. Good WiFi, 30 amp power, sewer and water, and level spots. Bath house was in rough shape but plenty of hot water, I used it quite a bit and found it OK. We would stay here again.

It’s magical here. Bath houses do need updating. Rates are good and plenty to do. We had a blast and the scenery is beautiful. Super quiet after dark.

Was the best stop yet for myself. Highly recommend if you just love the serene peacefulness of the park. The lake is stunning alone. I will definitely go back as soon as I can.

Didn't camp here but rode our gravel bikes from our RV Park into the park on the beautiful bike lane they have. We checked out the mountain bike trails and hiking trails. We then went back 3 different days and rode the mountain bike trails on our mountain bikes. Loved the trails only issue I had was that we had to pay $5 per person each day since the only other option was an annual pass that was $280 and we are on the road just visiting for 5 nights.

The campground itself is very pretty. However, the camp ground and by extension the entire park is suffering from neglect. In September, right after labor day, we stayed there 5 days. The dumpster site was never cleaned up even though the dumpster were overflowing. Not to mention they are located right on the entrance roam to the campground. The baths and toilet are aging and suffering from cleaning and maintenance neglect and the interior roads need repair. The the park headquarters' parking lot was littered and in a bad state of police. This was made worse when I observed several park employees loitering around the swimming area (closed).

The rv sites are a bit cramped and on top of each other. All of the amenities are very run down. The bathroom was disgusting and the playground needs some updates. I think the camp host could spend some time cleaning the bathrooms rather than harassing the campers about check out time. He was friendly enough but very worried we wouldn't be out at 11 which we were very well aware was the check out time. Also one end of the rv area really smelled like sewage. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Just beautiful. Miles of wonderful hiking and mountain biking trails. This is the largest park in Alabama. Bring your motorcycle, bicycle, fishing rod, canoe, kayak. Make a reservation in advance and stay a week in the campground. Everything is very well maintained. Truly one of the best state parks I've ever been in!

Nice camp grounfs. Best part gates open 24hrs...unlike other state larks that open at 7am and close at 9pm. Store at camp site has evrything. Good and plenty bathrooms. Beach area, cabins, lake, gold coarse, horse riding bmx trails, hiking, marina, tree top bjrd santuary is a must walk!!!

Great park! We spent the day there on our way to Atlanta for vacation. My two girls enjoyed the Waterfall, and especially the hike to get to it.

The park and camping spots are nice. Bath houses are not. Needs SERIOUS updating. The shower in the women’s room wouldn’t even turn on. I had to shower in the men’s room, which was filthy, covered in mold.

Really nice place. Great staff. Head's up. 30amp only there. Some of the camp sites are closer than I'd like. Specially for a state camp ground.
