Campground with a bunch of space. Stayed here for a weekend with scouts. There are two geocaches near the campground which was nice. Only downside is that all the tent camping spots are behind the RV spots. Had to walk a very long way to get to the cars. The campground had many yellow jackets and mosquitos. The firepits are nice. The staff and volunteers were extremely nice.

Camping now. Amazing park. Laying here listening to two owls talking to each other. You'll want to schedule your arrival and departure so you'll miss rush hour traffic. One inside the park the roads are great.

Really nice place to visit. Dont go in June. Hot and muggy if you are tenting out! Still a place we would go back to in the fall or spring. Nice Spacious area around. Not on top of one another. Has a beach! No dogs allowed on the beach but pets are welcomed! I recommend. Employees and volunteers were really nice and helpful! Price to stay in a tent is not bad either! Dont know how much RV's are.

Parking for tent camping was a bit awkward and throwing away trash required a hike. Not a great situation for a handicapped person. The park itself is beautiful, well kept and peaceful. Lots of cute little critters to discover.

Not as many shaded sites as we have found at other state parks. Long drive once inside the park to the campground - 5 miles from one direction and a windy narrow 2+ Mile drive in the other direction. Very nice amenities though and close to any and all shopping. Nice managers!

Great place with fun hikes. Got the solitude I was looking for even in a crowded camp ground. Great staff that were super helpful guiding my day hikes. Top park in Alabama!

Needs updating. Needs wifi. Love the staff. We stayed 17 days. We had a great time. If you're a man, be sure to cough if you are in the restroom and you hear someone come in. They'll open the curtain right up on you and there you will be in all your glory. Plus the toilet is a little tall so you're really exposed. But hey, I don't have anything to hide.

This is my go to for a close weekend getaway, my kids love this place and the staff are A+. Tons to do, hiking, archery, biking, BMX, swimming, kayaking, fishing, waterfalls, geo caching, there are a couple of beach areas also. They have events and activities all year long. The nature center is really nice with a board walk bird exhibit. There is a really nice new playground surrounded by picnic tables and a lake view. The campground is nice spacious sites and lots of shade!!

The park and Peavine Falls are lovely - though it was quite a workout descending to and ascending from the falls! The people who work there are pleasant, as well. My sister and I camped for two nights and it was peaceful and refreshing.

Nice, quaint little campgrounds. Not very private though unless you go primitive. Staff was super friendly. Nice light trail at the front the camping grounds and lots of activity at the Park itself. The Park is AMAZING. Great activities for all ages. Favorite was the Treetop Trail.

Well run campground. Very accommodating if involved in an event, elsewhere in the park. Bathhouses could use some updating, facility used to have WiFi but hasn't worked in years. We're local so we come here often. Park has a lot to offer so no shortage of things to do, while you're here.
