We had been planning this trip for over a year with friends, the cable did not work, the wifi was not working, the showers and toilets were down for 3 or 4 days. We had full hook-ups the sites varied in size but some of the giant trees were cool. The best part was having a great time with friends and family . This was our second year here. We are looking for a new place to get together.

Some Pros and Cons - it's Nice family Welcoming Park . -On demand water = nice and Hot showers (bathrooms need updating), laundry facilities (small fee, coin machine available and open 24hrs ), onsite ice for a decent price. -Camp spaces small. Some in middle of park with no privacy. You must Drive through a trailer park to get to back side for tent camping. - Park has light posts throughout that shine all night. -There are trails with beautiful foliage. Lots of greenery which make it a lovely setting. Our spot was small but fit our pop-up snuggly. Also appeared to Freshly cut- all mud no gravel. It was a muddy mess come the rain. The only but "major" issue we had was due to the unprofessional way one staffer acted. We felt Harassed by "Manager, Lee" with intimidating behaviors. He tried to flex his authority with his 2 attempts of kicking us and the site next-door out. The second night of our stay he walked into next-door camp site with a raised voice demanding they remove the Christmas Lights that were hanging In "his" trees. The following morning he was Driving by our site slowly staring at my 12yr old daughter and I with a mean look and shaking his head. I say "good morning" - he reverses truck and says "you're next". We ask what his problem is and he states "you have 30 minutes to vacate", and proceeds to caused a big scene, cursing , pointing fingers in my husbands face, saying he was calling sheriff. We went straight to office after that. The Ladies in office are doing best they can to put to us at ease. They provided complaint forms (filled out and sent to email provided). We continued our stay with no additional incidents. Overall stay was decent, but made unpleasant by a particular person. We will Not be going back.

We had a good stay! Kids enjoyed themselves just some things that were falsely advertised… the pics on the website give you a whole different perspective! The sites are really one on top of each other .. No privacy …. The road ways are narrow.. we were in site 62 I wouldn’t recommend anything over 28ft we have a 35ft trailer and it was a very tight squeeze … didn’t help we came in late and couldn’t see the sites at all.. reflected number would be great to see at night! We had to back in and it was a pull-thru which didn’t help but it was dark and late! The map makes it look like spaces give space but they don’t we had a tent site right at the back of the trailer … bathrooms are really outdated! The staff is really nice and super helpful! They do drive around until late in the night which I think is for security ?

Love this place!!! We’ve stayed twice and plan on booking for next year too! Super friendly and accommodating staff and owners! Ramblin’ Redwoods has great camp sites tucked in among Western red cedars with everything from cabins to full hook up sites to tent sites available. The facilities are not new but the rest rooms, showers and laundry facilities are always kept clean and tidy! They have fire pits, horseshoe pits and an open common area for hanging out with fellow campers. They have a great playground for younger campers too. They are just off of US101 and not far from the Trees of Mystery, the Smith River, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, Tolowa Dunes State Park, lots of hiking trails , fishing spots, and Crescent City is close by for dining, shopping/resupplying your RV or camp site. Lee and Becky, the newest owners of Ramblin’ Redwoods Campground & RV Park, kindly accommodated our group after we thought we had a reservation but it turned out that we really didn’t (an error on our part, to be sure). Instead of turning us away, they were able to squeeze us in for the entire five days that we planned to stay. Throughout our stay, we would see them around the campground and they very kindly checked in on us to make sure we were having a good time and that the accommodations were what we needed. We can’t thank them enough for their flexibility and hospitality! Already looking forward to going back next year!

We called around 11am as we were driving north on a Saturday and said we would call back. Not even 5 minutes later we called back to reserve a tent site. No answer. We called back every hour until we arrived there, no answer, which made for a stressful afternoon not knowing where we would be camping. Then, we were given a tent site “away from neighbors” but is basically next to the highway. The roadside noise was terrible with traffic all night and people driving in/around the camp from 9pm-4am. Got little to no sleep. They did recommend the marketplace for good burgers and were accurate on that account though. Restrooms were clean also. I would probably book with them again, but make sure to get a different site and book online.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. We’d booked a tent camping site, but the weather turned really rainy and windy. We asked if we could upgrade to a cabin. Becky said they had one available and took care of all the details. The cabin we stayed in was cozy, clean, and had a well equipped kitchen and bath. Everything well organized Highly recommend.

This is a well established campground north of Crescent City. Given that the Mill Creek Campground is closed in Del Norte Redwoods, this is the best alternative! The staff is courteous. The bathrooms are well maintained. The only reason this isn't a five star rating is that the campsites are too close together. There isn't much breathing room or privacy between them. The campsite I rented was fairly private, and the row didn't have any neighbors. It was a lovely nine nights.

I stumbled across Ramblin' Redwoods on Google when planning our family road trip. Making reservations was a breeze, they even send a series of emails as your trip approaches. We arrived after they were closed and had our Welcome Packet waiting. We backed in and had a peaceful evening. In the morning we woke up and explored the campground. It is beautiful here. The spots are nicely separated from each other and bathrooms are clean with on demand hot water for the showers (bonus).

Beautiful! In the redwoods and 5 minutes from the beach. We were there mid-September; it was quiet. Maybe because kids are back in school. Nice playground equipment for “youngish “ kids. Nice, short hiking trail behind the campground. Super hosts. Clean restrooms & showers. 6 miles to Crescent City. About 17 miles to Brookings, OR. Definitely will return!

Friendly staff, went out of their way to assist me and make my family vacation good, this is the kind of place you want to bring your family for vacation, very laid back and comfortable.

We had such a great night there on our way home from vacation! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and warm! The camp sites we had were awesome! It was surrounded by trees and bushes! Our site felt kind of secluded and we loved it! We would definitely suggest this place to everyone and come back for another visit.

This was one of our favorite places that we stayed at on our coast line adventure. The trees were so beautiful. Spots had plenty of space between each site. Full hook ups for our small trailer. And they had a laundry facility!!! YES! We were in the middle of our trip and were just about out of clothes but ended up getting three loads washed. FYI nothing drys out here because of the humidity so this was key after playing in the Smith River all day. I only wished we would have stayed more than two nights. We stayed in site 085 and had this cool section of trees the kids played in right to the side of our site. Site 71, 72, and 73 all looked like they had great privacy and were grown in with beautiful trees. Highly recommend this place!!

It was really hard getting through to talk to someone on the phone to make reservations had to do it through email. We ended up getting a weird angled site so our trailer was parked kinda weird. Overall the campsite is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was super friendly, they do have washers and dryers but not enough for how large the campsite is. It was always busy super early to super late so we didn't get to wash which was inconvenient. Overall I'd highly recommend this campsite. I also want to Emphasize how GORGEOUS this campsite is.
