Cool little spot not to far of a drive for most in San Diego. The pond was a great spot for all the kids to go fishing. Nightcrawlers seemed to be the best bait, my three kids caught about 100 fish between them over two days (maybe the same ones a few times). Nothing huge, just the right size to get them excited. They also loved hunting for bull frogs at night. And of course everything we fished or caught was quickly released for others to enjoy. Staff was super nice and friendly, bathrooms and showers were some of the nicest I've seen at a campsite in a while. The only drawback is that yes it is right along the 78 (tent sites are about 100 feet from the road). And one night some a-holes thought it'd be funny to lay on their horns while driving by at 3 in the morning. But, after the first night you get used to it. Just a heads up if you are looking for 100% peace and quiet, you'll have to venture somewhere else. But overall our family had a great time here, and would definitely go again.

This place is wonderful. It was quiet., although there were a LOT of people. The grounds are very well kept. The team running the office is professional and courteous. The sites are a good size, though not level by any stretch. There is plenty of open space so you don't feel like your sitting in your neighbors lap. There are LOTS of walking/hiking paths of differing skill levels. There is a small lake that has lots of birds. Saw a Snowy Egret this weekend and a couple of wind Turkeys. *Recommend you bring your hook up extensions. The Hook ups can be a bit far back and awkward to get to.

Nice place with some hiking, nice camping for tents and RV’s. They also have a nice pool, put put golf, horseshoes, and a nice little pond. Pretty good bathhouses also .

This is a beautiful location to go camping at. It really is like being at a resort. The staff are all wonderful people. The camp ground is very clean, so are the showers and bathrooms.

Nice park but.. they have severe water problems, it will clog your filters and screens and is very low pressure. They are working on the electric BUT when usage is high one leg will drop below 102vac while the other goes over 130vac, NOT GOOD, their answer is to not use a surge protector, you'll be okay WHAT!!! As a RV Technician this is a setup for disaster, it may not ruin your electronics right away but trust me it will!! If your thinking of staying long term DON'T!!! They aren't very honest people and only care about the mighty dollar. We had to leave due to an emergency, we left mid month and they refuse to return our last months deposit, I can understand not refunding the partial month but the full 6 weeks? Not how you do business in my opinion.

Great place to camp. Clean restrooms and showers. Friendly staff. Lots of road noise off the 78. If your in a tent this maybe an issue.

This was quite a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a place close to Oceanside CA for a quick visit with my sister and we found Ramona Oaks. First of all, the drive to the campground was beautiful. I could not get enough of the rolling green hills. Second of all, upon arrival, I was greeted with the most friendly staff. Check-in was quick and easy and getting to our site was not difficult at all. They made sure to give us a site that had a small visitors parking lot directly across from it so that we could use that space to turn our large 5th wheel for easy back-in. The campsite was nice, there was room for our granddaughter to run around. Everything from the campground, swimming pool, bathrooms, and showers was kept very clean. The water tank had just been replaced and had not been tested yet. We were given a free case of bottle water which was a very nice gesture. We will definitely go back and hopefully with family members who may tent camp or rent one of the cabins. Love Ramona Oaks!!
