I recently visited friends & family during during race week at this campground . I had a fabulous time! The location was great and in very close proximity to the Talladega Superspeedway. We were able to spend time at the campground and take a golf cart to the vendor area across from the track, we visited other campgrounds and even joined some friendly folks in karaoke. The hostess was supportive with all our requests, friendly, and checked in with everyone multiple times a day without being intrusive. I definitely will be back!

This RV park is very rural and VERY peaceful. It doesn't have some of the bells and whistles of other parks, but it met all of our needs. We certainly enjoyed staying there surrounded by all of the peace and quiet. At night, I was so wonderful to be able to gaze up at the moon and stars and not hear even the tiniest bit of traffic or noise. Yet, you could hop in your car and be to town in minutes to pick up any supplies you might need. The quietness of this RV park was just what we were looking for after a long day of driving in very heavy traffic. There was a dedicated area for your pets to go potty which was great. The owner is such a delightful lady and very friendly. It was such a pleasure to meet someone so warm and genuine on our travels. :)

My wife and I visited for 2 nights during the week after a trip to the beach. Since it was during the week and no race traffic, the park was quiet. The hosts were extremely nice. Gravel, mostly level pads. After a long day of travel, we had a problem leveling the travel trailer. The hosts were nice enough to come out and help. We were eventually moved to another site and leveled with no problem. The walking trail was nice and theyâre still working on the pool. My wifeâs family still lives in the area, so we had plenty to do. Major restaurants chains are about a 15-20 min drive. This would be a great mid-trip stop to rest for a day or two. We plan to return soon.

WE HAD A BALL with Nate, Alicia and other campers and their camper friends!!! It was so relaxing but has the utmost potential for a turn up if you want to, lol. Fellow campers from far north as Canada to far south as Florida sat around the fire laughing, sharing, even a couple of tears that soon turned into laughter with Nate ALWAYS cracking a joke. We didnât know what to expect since the campground is so new and we have only glamped at some of the biggest campgrounds around BUT Time Away proves it doesnât matter how big or small; itâs all about the experience that you make it. The sites are clean and level, the race track is literally right up the hwy! Alicia and Nate were the greatest of host we will be back three more times this year and will bring other campers with us!! They have a cabin on property for those that donât have their own rv, itâs so cute! Bravo Alicia and Nate, canât wait for the pool to open this summer! See you soon!

It was our first time there this past weekend and we felt the love as soon as we arrived from the owners. The campgrounds were very clean, big open areas and level gravel pull through lots. The prices are very reasonable, A relative told us about Time Away about 5 months ago. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of "Time Away"!

I have been following the development of Time Away RV Resort since before itâs opening in June 2021. We had not been to Alabamaâs coastal area and Time Away RV Resort provided a great stop-over. It was a pleasure meeting Nate & Alicia and seeing firsthand the development of their RV Park. Sites are level and long enough for RV and a vehicle. Full hookups at all sites. Theyâve also added some nice features like the Veteran Hero Walking Trail. More amenities to come and itâll just keep getting better.

We had the pleasure of meeting Alicia and her husband when we stopped in for the night. Both were very friendly and welcomed us with much information about their park. Pool will be open soon, grounds are clean. Very quite. If you are headed to Tallageda I suggest this is the place to stay, very close to the track. We will be here for the race đ Wishing them much success in their new venture.

We needed a camping spot close to CMP in Alabama, you don't get much closer than this.. Great location, fairly easy to get in and out, the road in is a single lane but manageable with a 43' 5th wheel Toy Hauler. Not the campgrounds fault! Owners were very friendly and extremely easy to work with, we were at an event that caused us to check out later than expected. Highly recommend if you need to stay in that area!

We stopped in for the night the beginning of March, my wife left a review that magically disappeared. They are set up for a many as they can get in during the races. May only be in phase 1 of building, but they have work to do. Not very "accessible" if you use a wheelchair or crutches. Step ramps I hope they will fix. Not worth the price for an overnight stay. Has potential. Also the sites are not angled, could be tricky in and out when full. Something they should look into.

NOT SURE IF THE A. BUTTERWORTH IS A DIFFERENT PERSON OR IF THIS BUSINESS IS CREATING FALSE REVIEWS, BUT YOU DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. Again, Do the veterans that volunteered own any RVs? (Please don't try to guilt trip or manipulate anyone by using the word "Veteran". My husband fought and sacrificed for this country as well. I'm merely asking "Have they ever had to pull one in to one of those parallel sites during race season? I can't imagine the difficulty. The photos show the closeness and minimal space of the sites provided. Definitely check size requirements before booking and know how to drive your rig so you don't hit one in the tight space provided to "pull through" the sites. Basic park. Pool empty and closed, no trees. Does have Full hook ups and a small playground. Not worth the $50 per night in the off season with no shower, bathroom or even a fire pit on our plot.
