Great place to chill for a day or for a few weeks. I Truly enjoyed doing business with the owners of this establishment. Reservations and check-in were swift and easy ! We received a text and email with our assigned spot (clearly marked) & other information. We stayed there for a quick overnight yesterday. The owners came down (it was after hours, too!) and warmly welcomed us. The next morning, our tow truck wouldn’t start and they both offered their assistance as well as that of their ON-SITE RV service tech! We got it up and running after a while and didn’t need assistance, but we are so appreciative of the hospitality shown to us. Backstory: We attended the June 2021 grand opening celebration and met the owners, Nate & Alicia Lawson. They were very nice and welcoming. We had to leave earlier than planned, and now—several months later—we stayed there again. Kudos to them for crediting us from our earlier stay with no hesitation and ZERO problems. The grounds are looking great (nice pavilion!), the trees are growing beautifully, and the new pool is fabulous and big! I love that this place is not a huge place. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay. The park is in the process of being built but what they have completed is well laid out and very functional. They have put hard work and love into the park and it shows. We will be back and I’m looking forward in seeing each stage completed.

I just gotta say that Nate and Alicia are fantastic hosts and run a very nice campground. Nate and Alicia make you feel at home and are always willing to help make your stay an excellent one. This is a great place to stay and relax.

I've been following Time Away Resort on FB since they broke ground nearly a year and a half ago and was looking forward to visit. It was as I expected and more! Alicia and Nate are amazing hosts! Their local food recommendations were spot on! The location is easy to get to and the grounds are beautiful. For this Floridian, the Fall views are picture perfect! Highly recommend for everyone to stay here. Will definitely make plans to come back in 2022!

We were there for a month after the races so it was very quiet. The park was clean and the hosts were excellent communicators. The only complaint was that the sewer hookup was a little high on our spot #30. We loved taking the motorcycle to the mountains for some great hikes!

This place is cool! There's a pool (covid has it closed ATM), basketball court, playground, walking trail. It's really great if stopping thru. Right next to the Talledega Race way, so a great place to be for the race week.

Great stop for a two day respite. Very quiet as it's not racing season or summer. Great roads to freeways without being too close. Friendly park assistant. Doesn't look like a "Resort" until you walk around and see the facilities.

We loved Time Away Resort, we were there during the Fall 2021 Talladega race for a week. This park is beautiful with wide, long spaces and plenty of grass at each site. The park is easy to get into and big rig friendly. We traveled in our 40 foot motor coach and were pulling a 20 foot car trailer. The space was absolutely perfect in size. One of the perks is to be able to park the car across the coach against the fence. Even though the park is fairly close to I20, there isn’t any highway noise. Alicia and Nate are wonderful hosts/owners and are attentive to their guests. Best sleep in a long time! We shall visit again.

Time Away is a wonderful place to come fir serenity, peace and quiet time. The owners are very accommodating and concern about the tenants. I would love to return here for added fun. I think everyone should visit here at least once.

It was easy to find and the booking/check-in process is second to none. The sites are level and spacious and they are still adding amenities. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back.

This RV park is close to the race track. The owners are very friendly and make great host. The park has gravel sites at this time, a playground and dog walk. They had a BBQ booth the weekend of the April race and the food was really good. The pool is under construction and will be a big plus once complete! We look forward to seeing their continued progress. Reason for 4 stars... Although all the sites are pull through, they are not at an angle, making for a very sharp turn to get into sites which can be difficult for some Big Rigs like ours, and the sites are very close to each other. We spent most of our time at the race so these items were not an issue for us. We will definitely stay here again. The Queen's Carriage - Jr & Sharron #cozyqueenadventures

We are very new to camping and I must say we had a wonderful time. We were looking for relaxation and trying to escape the hustle and bustle of our busy life. The biggest thing for me was how safe I felt. We will definitely be coming back. Can’t wait until the pool is ready. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes and visiting the racetrack and museum.
