Amazing spot to camp. We don’t do a lot of hookup camping but the location of this one is fantastic!! The staff and amenities here are great!!

I made reservations over 5 months ago by calling and talking to them and was assigned a site number that would accommodate our RV. Thankfully I called them while on the road to the campground to confirm we would be coming in shortly and they told me they do not assign sites at booking and said we would not fit in to the sites that were available. At booking I received a confirmation of reservations! We had camped here it the past and was very disappointed to receive this find of service from them especially when they did assign a site number to me!!! Unfortunately they were not willing to work with us and kept our first night deposit!!! I then had to find another campground at the very last minute! I was able to get a reservation at another campground. I will NEVER EVER STAY AT ZEPHER COVE RV CAMPGROUND AGAIN!!!

We stayed for two nights. On the plus side the staff were very helpful , especially as we arrived late. The lakeside is nice but you can’t walk far either side of the , albeit long beach area before getting to private areas. We did do a nice climb up to the top behind the RV site. On the not so good. We had spot 102 allocated right near the entrance. There’s a 6 lane highway running past so not the quietest of nights. I could have asked about moving but once you are hooked up …. Avoid these if you can request something further back - much further back. The site facilities were 3 star at best. Glad to move on TBH..

RV sites are on top of each other… hope you like your neighbors and their music. Picnic table is unusable because it’s at a 45 degree angle. Paved site isn’t close to level, , and pavement just wide enough for the RV, leaving guests and pets in the dirt. Won’t be back.

We booked one night and are tent campers. When we arrived we walked into the building to check in at the same time as another couple. They were throwing a fit that their adult children in a tent were not close enough to their RV and demanded they be moved. The graciously gave them our site right I front of us and even when we said thats out site and we don't agree to being moved still gave away our site. They gave us a different site which was much further and way uphill which is quite the walk.(No cars allowed in the tent section). When we hiked up the large hill to find our tent site it was super slopped and small. A one or maybe two person tent could have fit into that site. It also didn't have a picnic table. So we walked all the way down back to the check in building to tell them this site was unacceptable. They didn't care and were not going to do anything about it. Our 4 person tent literally wouldn't have fit. Finally after we pushed the issue a bit more they moved us to a different site. You also can't park near the tent area and there are not enough parking spots for everyone Be prepared to not sleep. They allow music, people screaming and partying all night long. I think the campground finally was quiet around 3am. Even in the back tent section you can hear highway traffic noise. Trash cans were way over full, trash was left in our site. Wouldn't recommend

LOCATION: Easy access to Lake Tahoe (the main reason why I choose this campground). You do have to cross a 4 lane road. WALK-IN CAMPSITE: (15 & 13): Thank goodness my group and I got campsites close to the parking lot. Originally, we were assigned campsites 15 & 16 but asked to switch to site 13 from 16 because 15 & 13 are closer to each other and campsite 16 is hilly. I highly recommend asking for campsites 10 - 15 and 19 beause they are the closest to the parking lot and requires minimal up-hill walking. No faucets at each campsites but there is one near the bathroom. PLEASE TAKE A WAGON or you'll regret booking your camping trip. That up-hill walk to the walk-in campsite is like a workout. I highly recommend booking the drive-in campsites if you are able to snag a spot because it's closer to the clean bathrooms and showers and probably a 5 minute walk to the beach. PARKING: Not a lot of parking spaces. The day before checkout, I'd parked my car in one of the parking spaces across the AirStream RVs, not knowing that it was reserved for the people who rents the AirStream. I didn't see any sign that it was reserved parking. I did receive a call @4pm (I assume from front desk) and they did leave me a voice message informing me to remove my car but I didn't check it until I got home. Obviously, I never removed my car because I didn't "get" the memo but I checked out the next morning so I guess it's alright. BATHROOMS: The walk-in campsites are super close to each other. The two flushed bathrooms located at the walk-in campsite area is fairly clean (visibly) but it smells. The 9 bathrooms near the drive-in campsites is clean and doesn't smell. I believe there are also bathrooms located across the main office. SHOWERS: Free hot & cold water provided. Might be small/tight for some people but there is an accessible bathroom & shower combo that is really big. STAFF: The lady that helped me check-in was really nice. During my groups' stay, we realized that they aren't strict with the "quiet hours' after 10pm rule because one of our neighbors had music playing and the generator running past 11pm. Another neighbor was super loud laughing and screaming at midnight. One family in our group brought a 9-person tent and wasn't asked to take it down. I wouldn't recommend doing that but you can test your luck at your own risk. Zephyr Cove beach: Not the pretty turquoise Lake Tahoe water you see on Google or social medias. You'll see tree debris and I even saw about 2 to 3 pieces if trash (wrappers) in the water. The sand is super hot during the day (the sand @ Sand Harbor was like this too). The beach has 4 volleyball nets. Best time to visit the beach is after 4pm due to easier parking access and less people. Most of my group went to the beach on Saturday around 12pm and one person described the scene as canopies everywhere like the flee market (LOL) and that you can barely squeeze between people once you're in the water.

Wow, not good at all! Drove 13 hours to get here to have assigned camp site already taken by another camper and not fixed by owners so was told to take the last site next to entrance on the highway. Not enough room for camper and truck. It was extremely noisy from the highway all night with cars honking, driving on rumble strips, peeling out, etc. so no sleep. Sites are like camping for sardines. Thankfully, we were here for one night. Bathrooms also were just a bit better than a portapotty.

We booked a campsite for one night. Thank the Lord it was only for one night cause it was terrible. They have four campsites beside the highway and the traffic noise is so loud that you have to yell at your family members for them to hear you. Not sure why they won’t put up a fence barrier or remove those four campsites. Also the shower was cold and we and our neighbours were not happy. I did politely confront a young girl in the office about our concerns but she didn’t care at all. They are just a cash register. We are members of many RV groups and we have now told them all to never, ever camp there. The RV resort just doesn’t care. They just want your money. Stay Away!!!

Stayed here on family vacation. The spots are cramped. You are on top of each other. Picnic tables are adjacent to the next site sewer. There is no enforced quiet times. Lots of peole have music blasting all day and well in to the night. No desire to return to camp at this location even if it does have good beach access.

Other than having to cross a busy city street to check in (campground office building not used for campground interactions), this was a beautiful place to stay. A small beach area, bar and grill, and lake cruise dock are across the street next to the hotel resort.

Small, uneven sites that are hard to get into and crazy to level your trailer. Sites are dirt and a couple of ours weren't clean when we showed up. Garbage at the site and in the firepit. Even if you book sites together under one name you won't have them next to each other. Lots of noise, people everywhere, garbage piled high in the trash container and smelled horrible in the campground. Yes, it's walking distance from a beach but the beach is small and crowded at best. Tahoe is beautiful and I would reccomend seeing it but pick somewhere else less expensive and overrated. This was not the spot to come to.

Awesome rv park with really awesome tent camp sites. Loved the layout of the park and that it was right across the street from the beach. The check in is at the general store and the people working there were very nice. Would definitely stay here again!

We got lucky got to sit at the last minute. It’s a beautiful area with a beautiful beaches and plenty of things to do. Campsites were nice and clean friendly people had to check in across the street so the little block was involved..
