The location for this site is excellent - being only 0.4 miles from the visitor center is amazing. |We were not overkeen on this site. |Sorry but the narrow pitches in Standard pitches mean itās almost impossible not too close to your neighbours ( I notice others have said this in 2019) Fortunately ours were quiet and did not have huge RVs. On arrival we did not know where to enter, there are so many signs telling us what NOT to do and once we had checked in we were handed a āRules and Regulationsā leaflet instead of a welcome and had to run the gauntlet of signs everywhere. It would be good to have a sign saying āRegistered campers welcome hereās instead of the āOnly registered campers may use this ā¦.ā We decided not to use the pool etc as it looked crowded and used our own BBQ as the nearest fire pit was too far distant from our pitch.

A conveniently located campground. Sites are pretty varied, so look through before booking. Some Sites are pretty narrow for smaller rigs and those without slides, other sites can accommodate RVs with slides, etc. They have cabins and tent Sites as well. Across US 160 from Mesa Verde and still close to Cortez if you need to go to the store. There is a small store with the office on-site. They also have a pool, hot tub, playground, mini golf, and dog parks. I love the night sky rules of the park, so turn those outside lights off and enjoy the stars.

We loved this place! Easy access to national park and easy, level sites. Their amenities made the stay so much better! Putt putt, volleyball, giant floor checkers, horseshoes, rec room with foosball and pool, giant dog park, and swimming pool with hot tub. Can't say enough good things about this park, will definitely stay there again if we're in the area!!

Can't get a better location if you're visiting Mesa Verde. It's a stones throw from the park entrance. The campground is very professionally run & kept very clean. We didn't get a chance to use the amenities but they looked great and I was kind of regretting I didn't book an extra day just to relax and hang out by the pool

Great place to stay while visiting Mesa Verde National Park. Located right across the highway outside the entrance to the park. Quiet, large site with plenty of room to park. We had a premium site at the top of the hill with an awesome view. Also it is a dark park so you don't have everyone leaving bright outdoor lights on all night. You can see the stars! Make sure you spend at least 2 nights here so you have an entire day to see Mesa Verde, and maybe 4 corners (about 50 miles).

Great easy pull through sites. Close to Mesa Verde NP. Nice dog agility park. No poop bags. Bring your own. Cool little mini golf course, $4.00 per person. Full hook ups.

This campground has the best location if you are visiting Mesa Verde National Park. They have a number of special amenities such as a pool, playground and a great area for your dogs to stretch their legs and play. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Facilities are clean. The showers had amazing waterfall shower heads with great water pressure. Beautiful views from our site.

My dog and I were traveling by motorcycle and stumbled across Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde. We rented a tent site that was perfect for us, easy bike paring and nice level ground for the tent. There are two dog parks which my dog loved (his tail was wagging) and the restrooms were spotless and well maintained. On our return trip we made a point of staying at Ancient Cedars again and it was just as welcoming as our first stay. We rarely use developed campsites much less commercial campgrounds but the people at Ancient Cedars changed my thinking. I will visit again.

Really enjoyed my stay. Very friendly people. Also the restrooms and showers were very clean. Had the one tent spot with electric and water. Both worked. It's a dark campground meaning all lights out at 10:00pm. The sky is mindblowing at night. You can easily see the Milkyway.

we stayed here for 3 nights on our way back from UT( National Parks) and on the way to CO..while here we visited Mesa Verde National Park, The 4 Corners and a great Train ride from Durango to Silverton. This is a great well kept up campground... nice showers, pool(didn't use) and hot tub (USED)... Sites were gravel and roomy enough .The owner Brent was very nice to work with, you can tell him and his wife take pride in their place! Will definitely be back if in the area!!

Very nice and QUIET TV park. If you want to be close to Mesa Verde Naftional Park, look no further! Withg our rfesies for the park in hand, we were in, in about 10 minutes!! Important if you are lined up for tours and such.||We were in spot 204. A little close, but nice and shady. No issues with water, sewer, or electric. Did not use the bathrooms and showewrs, but did use the FANTASTIC dog park every evening! HIUGE with a confidence course included. ||My wife used trhe pool (not heated) and said it was very refreshing.||GREAT staff! I broke a lunch pin and froze my hitch connector on the drive to the park. One of the maintenace people came to my site, helped me break the old pin, and gave us a new one for NO charge!!!! Greatly appreciated that!||Quiet hours are observed, and if you want a SUPER site, get one of trhe ones way up in the back buried inthe trees!||We would stay here again for sure.

Friendly and quiet rustic campground just 10 minutes from the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park. RV spots are standard to delux; some delux being nestled among cedars. Accomodates all size rigs. Different variations of hook-ups.There is a small pool and hot tub, small playground, and a nice game room. The bathrooms with showers were spotless! Dog friendly. Reasonably priced. Beautiful view of Point Lookout at campground entrance.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. WiFi access was appreciated. The amenities were great. Especially enjoyed the pool. Location across the highway from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park was perfect. Nearby Cortez CO allowed us to stick up for the rest of our trip. We will be back, so we can finish exploring Mesa Verde NP.

I like quiet parks, not in cities or towns. This park was right across the street from Mesa Verda Park. We could walk there! It's a dark sky rv park as well. Saw several shooting and falling stars!! There's a little town a few minutes' drive away that had a grocery store š. The only thing we didn't like was the pool didn't open until noon on the days we were there. If this is important to you, I'd double check pool hours.

We really enjoyed staying here. The restrooms were A++, and always really clean. The cabin was quite comfortable with air conditioning, a fridge and microwave a TV and clean mattresses. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the pool and grounds were great.
