tldr: DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE IN CHILLY WEATHER! I can imagine it’s super nice in the summer, but we stayed in April. Here are the pros: super close to Mesa Verde, location is beautiful, wifi is passable (don’t try to stream, it’s not happening), showers are warm and clean, laundry facilities are nice and work well ($2 to wash, $2 to dry) Hot tub was closed and we never visited the lodge, but they look nice too. Now the experience: we booked this place as a break from sleeping in the car all bundled up in 15° sleeping bags. Our “cozy” cabin was as cold as outside when we got here, but we were assured it would heat up if we gave the heater (see photo 1) some time. It ran for 8 hours straight and the cabin was only ever around 45°. We were also told to “stuff something in the windows” to keep the heat in..😳 but with all the gaps in the walls and around the windows (photo 2) it was never comfortable. The website names all these in-cabin amenities, but you can only run maybe 2 at once.. so you must turn off the heat before running the microwave, for example. You are notified via print-out, only after handing over your non-refundable payment, when you check in.(see photo 3) We would not have booked this place had we seen anything indicating as much online. The dish sink water only runs cold, btw, so good luck getting anything clean without having to boil some water. This should be a summer-only place for cabin rentals, having them available to rent when it’s still getting down to 24° at night is, honestly, unsafe. We were prepared with down sleeping bags and thermal gear, but others may not be. Definitely don’t expect the shelter you’d want to have in cold weather, like we did, because you won’t get it. We cut our losses and left after night one, despite having paid for two nights, to go somewhere actually warm and comfortable.

Lovely park with a huge hot tub, very clean restrooms and a miniature golf course. Our kids loved our time here. The hot tub was for adults only but there's a nice pool for the kids. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. There is also a clubhouse with a pool table and foosball for the kids. We came the perfect time of year as it was a lot cooler than Texas.

My wife and I had such a great time. The bathrooms are clean, the pool and spa are nice and clean. The mini golf was the cherry on top. Being so close to mesa verde and having a comfortable place to relax made our trip that much better!

You really can't get any closer to Mesa Verde National Park! The campground is nestled off the main highway and has a lovely view of the park. The pool is nice for a swim, mini golf ⛳️ and dog 🐕 park are terrific! Campsites are decently sized and the staff is great. The clubhouse is a log cabin and has a beautiful 🎱 pool table and a big screen TV. We will be back! Thanks for a great stay location to explore this beautiful area!

Ancient Cedars RV Park was an incredible stay! There were large shade trees in the area we were in with each spot having a well-kept, large picnic table. Spotless bathrooms and showers! The pool was a welcome cool off from the heat. The rec room allowed our 10-person crew a place to play our board games - because we're super competitive about our board games! We had full hook ups and everything was in working order. Super close to Mesa Verde National Park. Friendly staff. This place is a must if you're in the area! We'll be back.

Great location, alot to do nearby and in park. Good check in and helpful, reasonably priced. Great dog parks on property. Park lacks in grooming and site maintenance. Overgrown fire ring, mini golf full of weeds and gravel (charge $4 per person to play), gravel sites overgrown and in need of maintenance. Great for a short stay but needs some TLC

This is a nice little RV park just outside of Mesa Verde National Park. Easy access off the highway and only 10 minutes out of Cortez. It is well maintained and groomed. I’m not big on RV parks, preferring boondocking, but very affordable for a night over to gain access to hookups and re-charge. There were probably 60+ of the 80 something spots filled when we stayed (crowded for my comfort) but admit how impressed I was with compliance by all visitors for lights out and quiet times. Fun park, playground, mini golf, and pool for kiddos if your traveling. Would have rated higher if spacing between sites was a little more comfortable.

I enjoyed the campsites as most of them have cedars with them that provide some shade. Owner helped in a miscommunication and was very accommodating in our specific size of trailer. Fun amenities with hot tub, pool, playground for kids, a dog park, mini-golf, super clean bathrooms, showers, wifi, and a recreational hall.

Thank you for a wonderful camping experience right outside the gate of Mesa Verde. A delightful amount of amenities- a game room with pool table, playground, pool and even putt-putt course. The laundry room was economical ($2) and clean. The bathrooms were the best we’ve seen on our trip.

Great campground! Located right across from Mesa Verda National Park. We travel with family, 2 - 30 ft travel trailers, booked premium sites (610 & 611). Sites were clean with full hookups, picnic table, and fire ring. Laundry facility was clean 4 washers, 4 dryers with utility sink and folding counter ($2 per machine). Mini golf was a blast and theme was adorable, 18 holes $4 per person. Very large dog park area with agility course. Pool and hot tub! Firewood delivery, propane on site, ice and lots of goodies in the store. Very accommodating and would definitely return.

We stayed in one of the cabins and it was very clean. The cabins had very comfortable beds (still need to bring your own blankets and pillows) and enough shelf space for us to put all of our camping items! Having a microwave and fridge was helpful as well when preparing our food for grilling. Staying in a cabin that was close to the bathrooms, pool, and hot tub is always a plus. We felt like the bathrooms and pool area were kept up very well! (A lot of other campgrounds we have been to don't do that) Didn't really use the rec center or laundry room, but those areas looked nice as well. We really enjoyed using the grills and the campfire pits later in the evening. This campground is also next to a small ranch with horses, but that didn't bother us one bit and there were no bad smells either! Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Mesa Verde National Park.

Very well run park Accross from the entrance to Mesa Verde. Very helpful and polite staff. The sites aren’t that great though but you’re after the location being so close to the National in Park. I think it be a great place for families. They have a swimming, pool, putt, putt, golf, hot tub, playground, and an awesome gathering room. Next-door to the campground. There’s some horses to that you can go visit and feed.

Great campground near to Mesa Verde National Park. Basically, right across the highway. Pool was closed. Clean showers and bathrooms. Great rec room. They have putt putt golf and a playground. Great stay for families. Would definitely return.

Premium spots are tight. Water and sewer hook ups are right next to the neighbors picnic table. However most are so tired from going to the park they don’t come out! Great stop to see Mesa Verde National Park. Ancient Cedars is very close to the park.

Stopped in for a short one night visit. The standard pull thru sites were pretty tight, and I had to unhook my tow vehicle from behind our 32' class C RV. The bathrooms and laundry room were very clean. You can't beat the location if you want to visit Mesa Verde National Park.
