We stayed four months through winter at this RV park. We really enjoyed it and met so many wonderful people. We opted for the concrete pad as opposed to the gravel area. The gravel area has better shade, but not completely flat and fallen leaves are a big problem. Take a blower either way. We also enjoyed their activities. What we didn’t care for so much is being accused of letting our dog off leash (she never was) and leaving her unattended (which we did for about 15 minutes one time). I get why they police that even though not all dogs are created equally. My biggest ding is the tractor operator. Even though their published policy stated to blow leaves to the street, which I was doing, that guy yelled at me to blow them the other way. I mentioned the policy, but he was indifferent. Other campers mentioned his poor attitude as well. I can overlook that guy’s issues and return, but once the RV park on the other side of the creek opened and they were able to charge quite a bit more, Bay Bayou changed their policies in regard to minimal stay for discounted rates and raised their rates over 25%. I asked about moving to the gravel side next season, but they said there were no sites available. We really liked the place and what they offer, just not the big price hike. If their new rates fit your budget, I think you’ll enjoy the park, the people, and the location.

What a beautiful property!! Clean, well maintained, friendly staff (Kim was especially helpful) and great amenities. We strolled around in the evening and went to one of the docks to sit and enjoy the night sky. Saw one gentleman playing horseshoes and in the morning saw women in the indoor common area working on their sewing machines. Nice big spots with picnic tables and good shade coverage. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The campground is very clean and the sites are paved which makes setting up a lot easier. Their wifi is spectacular and I was able to stream nonstop without any interruption. I only got turned off by them after i found out i had made a mistake on my reservation and needed to check out a day early and they refused to refund me which to an extend, I get it because I’m a business owner and I know what goes into operating on this scale. However when I asked if I can get a credit for when I return in June, they refused also. When it comes to my business I’ll do just about anything to make our customers want to come back, but I guess I can’t have that expectations from other businesses. No matter how nice this campground is i don’t feel they appreciated my business and now I’m not going back. Had they given me the credit, they would’ve had me as a regular for a long time and I would’ve recommended them to others as well.

Very disappointing stay. Weren’t allowed to have a dog pen outside, or even a new compact size refrigerator. Couldn’t even keep our dog crate outside under a table. Although many people had car trailers, kayaks, exercise equipment, old chairs, gazebos right next to their campers. Never stay there again. Found a beautiful KOA just 8 miles down the road…

If you are looking for a clean, safe, comfortable rv resort, then this is the place. They have a nice pool and we found the other guests very welcoming and friendly. Their rules with the kids though is a bit much…our boys would walk the dog around the main drive areas and we would get a call letting us know they needed to have an “adult” present. They are 11 and 14….🙄 This is their policy, and we were told about it ahead of time, but the office staff can be a bit much with the “rule”… Our boys loved the ice cream socials, the bbq lunches, and my wife and I enjoyed the yoga class and morning walks around the park.

Unless you bake big money and don't worry about spending it. It's a great place to be. Not much for children to do other than a pool, no playgrounds. And children must be accompanied while riding bikes on the road and while using the pool. And rent is outrageous.

My best friend and I stayed here while in Tampa for the Taylor Swift concert and this place was amazing! The staff was great, the place was clean and I loved how the poles for the spots were removable to make it so much easier to back into the spot. Pool was clean. Definitely would come back and recommend this place.

Can say anything bad about this place. Staff was amazing, very very clean grounds, and pool was amazing. Great family location, and lots to do around the area. Would absolutely come back and recommend. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and very friendly. I miss it already!

Well maintained and was grateful to get a spot to layover a couple days. One big downside if you’re staying long term is the awful Wi-Fi. They said streaming is capable but nothing but freezing screens then down altogether. Based on that I wouldn’t stay long term without being able to watch tv. Otherwise I’d you just want to read books it’s a relaxing place to stay.

Very nice & helpful staff, very clean & kept grounds, very good lot sizes, gated pass code to enter. My only issue is they don't enforce the rules like only 2 vehicles per lot, no retractable dog leashes, guests flying down the resort roads way faster than 10 mph. But I like it here, good value for the money, i believe. So much better than the ghetto rv park in Palm Harbor I was in.

We have stayed at Bay Bayou several times and always have found friendly staff, level sites and clean facilities. This park has quite a few seasonal campers with gravel/shell sites. Our site in the premium section had updated 50 amp service and a concrete pad that backed up to a wooded creek. The gated park has a great location not far from all types of entertainment, activities and shopping. We will return again when we plan to stay in the area.

Very clean RV park. Bathroom and Laundry room were kept clean at all times. This is a perfect place if you want to stay the night and go exploring in Tampa and surrounding areas during the day. My wife and I have 2 young boys, no playground for them to play. A little pricey as well. We did have a pleasant stay, but we will not be returning. Thank you for your hospitality, but this site didn't suit all our needs. All the best to the owners and staff.

Lovely place, lovely people beautiful oak trees throughout, nice set up with easy navigation and level pads. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Newly remodeled pool, 3 laundry rooms. I really enjoy this place

My wife and I stayed here during the month of September for 30 days. Summer month to month pricing is pretty fair. The park itself is extremely well maintained, and multiple times a day, you'll see groundskeepers making the rounds to ensure the landscaping is cared for and clean. Everyone staying was kind, friendly, and clean. Our space along the river was large, tidy, and ever so slightly away from level for drainage. If I remember correctly, there are at least 3, but possibly 4, well kept locations in the park for $2.00 laundry and showers. If I am ever back in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to return back. Hats off to the staff.

GREAT PLACE! The one time I did talk with the staff they were friendly. Location is very nice and kept very clean. Gate access only which is a major plus in my book. I didn't see any RVs with add ons like you do with some of the older parks. Lots are gravel and marked well. Would definitely stay here again.
