Black Barts RV Park

Ok park for a short visit at Flagstaff. Train noise is not bad, freeway noise is moderate, and easy access to I40. Nice staff. We didn't try the steakhouse right there. Our spot was easy to get into and had good length and average width. We had a back in but since no one was in the spot behind us we were able to pull in. Had to level one side up. About half the park is dedicated to permanent sites which looked a little run down.

Easy to get to, right off the Highway. When we made reservations we were told bathroom shower house was done for maintenance Staff was very friendly. Sweet old lab loves to be petted in the office Yes you can smell diesel ever so often from the truck stop and 18 wheelers parked next door But the park was clean and felt safe. Will stay there again on our next time through

My husband and I did a short trip to Flag from Phoenix to escape the heat and I searched for the best steak houses in Flagstaff. Black Barts was on the list. I ordered the Filet and was shocked when they brought my dinner! The Filet was not even an inch thick! When I took a bite it had 2 small pieces of toothpicks in it. It was overcooked and dry. The baked potato was pre cooked and it tasted as a warmed up potatoes would. My husband ordered a bone in ribeye and again the cut was very thin. At these price points I would expect much better quality. The entertainment was fun and service was prompt. I did not complain to management because my husband wanted to just chuck it up to an experience.

We were snowed in here for quite a while in December and January. Our spot was pretty level and We really enjoyed our stay. the staff were friendly and accommodating. We went to the steakhouse for New Year’s Eve and were very impressed by the talent and the food. We actually ordered takeout from there several more times during our stay

It’s an ok spot for an overnight stay. There is NO pool, no playground for the kids and it desperately needs to replaced and leveled. The steakhouse has great food and it has wonderful entertainment. Oh, the highway is right next to it. So sleeping with your windows open will come with a lot of road noise. In May, the restrooms and laundry room were out of order.

Before arriving I felt they had done a great job helping me nail down my reservation! But then...I arrived! The park is ok, but the management is vindictive and delusional! The office opens at 9, but the does NOT mean there is someone there to assist! I went four times one day and each time there was a note that read, "Be Back in 10 Minutes" Don't know how long it was up that whole day.

We booked this campground for July 4th weekend so we could be close to downtown. For that purpose it was great. However, there are no bathrooms and no laundry due to some plumbing problem they don't seem to be fixing too urgently. They still charge full price as though those facilities were available,!

Front office was friendly and helpful, and was able to squeeze me in as a no-reservation late show-up, so thanks for that. However, the bath/shower/laundry were closed for 'renovations', but they still charged full pricen 'because they still have the same costs and expenses'. Well yes, I'm sure that's true, but you're charging your customers for services they're not receiving, so no, that's not ok. The Steakhouse restaurant/saloon was really good, with a nice selection of draft beers, but a bit pricey. The wait staff took turns singing on stage (very nice), which may be their justification for the prices, but I went to eat/drink, not hear the show, so I'm a bit ambivalent about that. Overall, it was ok, but overpriced.

Honestly, I thought this park was awful. The landscaping is dead, the spots are tight, pricy for having no pool or dog park or game room or any real amenities. Full hookups but that's about it. It's loud being right next to the highway and it connects to a truck parking lot. The entire time I was here they had their showers and laundry rooms locked with signs that simply read "closed until further notice". Leaving early to go park in the woods instead of spending any more money to sit in a dust pit.

Over priced for no amenities on a fairly sloped gravel parking lot. Bathhouse and general store were closed. Difficult to get level because of the uneven slope. Lots of old campers/trailers with full timers. Price was over double what we paid on this trip so far and it was by far the worst campground. Only positives were the electric worked and there was running water. Highway noise wasn’t excessive.

Could be nicer!!! The roads need to be done. All the spaces need to leveled & new cement. No laundry & almost a store. Yep could be nicer!!!

Our meals were very good and the entertainment provided by the wait staff a fun addition. The only real downside was that the singers were often lost in the noise of a large dining room. Meal prices seem a little high but then you do get the entertainment.

This was a very convenient place to stay right off the highway. The park was in good shape and the pull through spot I had was roomy and everything worked great. We did eat at the steak house, it was ok. The reason it was ok was the pricing was pretty high for what we had.

Overall, we had a good stay at Black Bart's. Our first site was a bit uneven and one side of our fifth wheel actually had the wheels at least a foot off the ground. Then, while watching TV our first night, we lost power - the electric panel flipped. We reset it three times, only to have it flip off each time. We gave up, turned everything off, including the electric heat, and went to bed. The next day, we reported the issue and they promptly sent over a technician to check the pedistal power. He found an issue of one leg of the circuit. We ended up moving to a different site - which was level and had solid power source. Johanna was great and was sure we were settled. I would definitely give them a second chance. Only four stars because of the power issue - service definitely a 5-star. If you go, be sure to check out the Steakhouse!
