We are in love, great place, just avoid holidays. So crazy, so many kids. Haha

It's an awesome place to come and relax. If your like going to the beach or you like the sand and the waves, this park isn't for you. You are a little walk from the water, and when you do get there, there is not much of a beach, mostly rock, not corral rock either. I took my wife and kid swimming and the water was outstanding. Very can water for kids.

Well manicured park. Great facilities. Pricey, but you get what you pay for in this case.

This is a beautiful RV resort... my husband and I are here with our children. The staff are nice, well equipped gym, nice size Jacuzzi, heated pool and a small onsite mart. The grounds are well kept, beautiful flowers n palm trees. The actual sites are small especially if ur RV is large. It's a bit crowded during the Summer especially when all the sites are occupied... kinda feel like u're on top of each other...but the guests are super friendly. The beach is towards the back, n u have to go through the gates. The beach is just ok there. The showers n toilet are not the best... . Overall we'd definitely stay here again.

I was a bit nervous when I volunteered to find an RV resort for our group of 7 families to go to for the Memorial Day weekend until I found Chula Vista RV Resort! This was the first time for all of us staying at this resort and the last for most of the families that I brought. The check in experience was one of the worst ever! Some staff members were very rude and unprofessional for the positions they hold! Tobias who assisted us truly needs to be spoken to because his rudeness and unprofessionallism needs to be addressed. We were denied having our group together and were told that others had booked three months earlier, well so did we! They refused to tell me where my family was going to be other than we would all be close to each other. Sites 102 and 109 were not close when your sharing meals! The group was split up, the families approached by security because cornhole games and music was too loud at 7:00-8:00 pm on Saturday evening. Quite time was at 10:00 pm! Besides being stared at the entire weekend by stuffy guest around us who obviously had to be jealous of our fun time we met a few nice people who were happy to join us. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review even after having a manager come drop off a certificate for two free nights due to the unprofessionalism of the staff. This resort has just lost 7 customers who would prefer going to a more welcoming and less stuffy RV Resort! I sure hope people read these reviews before booking a stay like I did but instead I ignored the bad reviews and booked a large group. I welcome a call from the RV Resort you have my information!

Nice park with all the various amenities and landscaping you should expect from a park that calls itself an "RV Resort" in my opinion. The price is definitely high, but so is everything else in town, and the location is great. Our price was based on a coupon where we paid for 3 nights and got one night free, with the 5th night being at the Good Sam rate. Landscaping and cleanliness of the park are great. The roads and condition of everything is good, and there are cute little duck families wandering around. The pool and hot tub are nice - we only used the hot tub, since it rained most of the time we were there. Overall location is great - there is a bike path that runs by the park that takes you all the way around the bay basically - but again, since it was raining, we didn't get to take advantage of that. It's about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown, or you can take the "trolley" (which we didn't do). The park between the resort and the bay is nice, and I may have got out on my paddleboard on the water if it weren't so stormy and rough. The sites have plenty of privacy in most cases, despite being a little small - plenty large for our 22' trailer with no slide-outs, but a little small for larger rigs and tow vehicles. The only negatives we came across (other than the bad weather, which is unusual and has nothing to do with the park) was the service. We reserved 4 months in advance and were told at the time that most of the bay-view sites were available, but it would be impossible to reserve a specific site - but they best they could do is have us give them a range of sites and we'd most likely get one in that range, which would be first-come-first-serve upon arrival. When we checked in, though, they said nobody wrote down what we asked for, and we were stuck with something nowhere near what we wanted. We then got all kinds of different excuses and answers from different people. Landscapers also started way too early while we were checking out, and were blowing leaves all around us, including in our site while we were hooking up our trailer. Wifi was also no good while we were there - not even good enough for general web surfing on our phones most of the time (though we were probably about as far away as you can get from the tower).

And my family have been coming here for 15 years and we love all of the family-friendly activities karaoke ,bingo and live bands potlucks, and barbecues that the park organizes. Pool is sparkling clean and warm and a very large size jacuzzi that is a perfect temperature for relaxation. They have a gym laundry facility full hookups even a propane tank refill station. Good selection of goods in the General Store and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

Clean, beautiful but beware the Bay View. This is an expensive RV Resort and one of the most immaculately kept I have ever seen. Everything is spotless. Sites are a little narrow but bordered by hedges for some privacy. Pool is not the biggest, but it is well kept. WiFi is a bit of a sore spot - sometimes it works, often it doesn't. At this price point it should work consistently. The marina restaurant next door is an easy walk and decent food. Our only regret is that we paid extra for one of the Bayview sites which runs along the bay view park. The view is incredible, but this is a popular spot for questionable people to park their cars just on the other side of the fence and smoke marijuana. Multiple times per day we had to close all of our windows to block out the strong smell. I did not expect that!

We love San Diego and to find a place like this to stay was a treat. This RV park is in a great and safe location. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The lot sizes are very adequate and are separated from other lots with tall bushes for privacy. The bathrooms/showers/laundry/pool area are very clean and well kept. It is attached to the marina and a walking park. To get to downtown San Diego or Tijuana, you can walk or drive to the trolley station down the road and that is a great convenience. Otherwise, it is a short drive to either.

This is a good looking campground however the company that runs it has very poor customer communication. They are very friendly with smiles to distract you while they reach in your wallet to extract all your cash. In example they have raised rates by $300 prox monthly winter rates for 2017 and never tell those who have future reservations. When you try and cancel due to unreasonable increase they charge $100 for nothing just because they can. They also will never tell you what site you will be in until you get there. I will not go back. Beware!

This RV resort definitely lives up to its name - RESORT! A very ritzy, clean, classy place with 24/7security and completely gated in - we quickly came to realize why the price was so high per night. The pool temperature was nice, and the hot tub felt great. The location is FANTASTIC, right on the water - and a quick 5 minute walk to watch the amazing sunsets, a fun playground, beach and water with a huge shallow ocean area to play and swim in if you have little ones. I read in another review that there is no beach access, but this is incorrect- there are several beaches and places to swim in the ocean right by the park. The resort also has a grassy area with fun swing chairs which is also a nice place to hangout! We paid the extra money to be on the water (we brought our 11 month old who naps a lot and we wanted to be able to enjoy the view while she was out), and that was worth it. Site #61 had an awesome view of the marina (and all of the crazy pokemon players who were frequenting the front of our site, even reaching their arms through our fence to play - awkward!). We strategically didn't back our 32ft 5th wheel in all the way so we could sit behind it and look out at the boats, which worked perfectly. I don't think the extra money would be worth it though if you were on the west side of the park, as it's really a view of a roadway, parking lot and very squeaky and loud playground. Each site is also made very private by a row of tall bushes, half of ours though were HUGE hangout area for bees, so we couldn't get into our storage areas when they were out which was a bit annoying at times - and were a bit on guard when sitting outside enjoying the view. There are no fire pits at the individual sites, but we did see a lot of people who brought their own and had little fires going - genius! The wifi was also VERY slow at best, so I wouldn't count on this service. The overall clientele seemed to be of retirement age, not many kids around when we stayed it was very quiet overall - but there is a very nice large park and playground right outside the gate with lots of families and kids. Overall, fantastic place to stay if you want a nice, relaxing, safe spot where you can walk along the (short) boardwalk, hang out at the beach, swim in the pool or hot tub, walk up the street to restaurants without ever having to step foot back in a vehicle. The staff members were very friendly and helpful - we will definitely come back!!

We did our maiden voyage to Chula Vista RV Resort with our new RV. We loved Chula Vista. It was spotless, loved the pool and location of the park by the water, office staff were friendly, and actually we met so many really friendly people in our 3 days there. It's a parking lot for sure but very enjoyable. I would give it 5 stars except there are so many spiders in the bushes that are not shy, ugh! Wish they sprayed for bugs! Also when taking a shower in their large stall by the pool, my fingers started tingling every time I reached toward the metal soap holder. This freaked me out and I cut my shower short and notified the front desk. Maybe something wasn't grounded right? Even with spiders and almost being electrocuted (😜), each of us look forward to visiting Chula Vista again!

The park is kept up very nicely...clean and orderly. HOWEVER....there is a problem with the pool hours. The brochure they distribute when you sign in states that there are resort rules and regulations.....included under pool and spa it states....and I quote: Adults only 9am to 10am, 3pm to 4pm, 9pm to 10pm. Kids only: 4pm to 5pm. When this rule was being violated today, I asked at the front desk what was happening....the front desk says they can't discriminate against children, so the written rules don't apply. BTW: I am on Dr's orders to swim an hour a day 5 days a week so that's why we came here to take advantage of the pool without children. The brochure I referenced was printed in 2016 and has 14 pages. That looks pretty current to me! Who all of a sudden changed the rules?? Why? We are not happy and won't be back....not that they really care. Very pricey.

Beautiful pristine park, great landscaping, easy access to park . Beautiful views. Nice staff. Marina location is pretty and safe but surrounding neighborhood is sketchy with not much to do. Short drive to beaches and SD attractions. Would come again.

Chula Vista RV Resort was a nice park but not the best. We went to the pool at 7pm with our two kiddos and had to leave early due to the inappropriate language from the other adults in the nearby hot tub. Every other word. The 'no alcohol' rule at the pool was not enforced. The pads were concrete and level and the landscape was beautiful.
