Dockweiler RV Park

My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks while visiting friends in LA. We loved that the park was on the beach and we were able to walk to some restaurants and locations via the beach. Just a heads up, the RV park is county run. The bathrooms were not well maintained and the water in the showers only stayed on for about 30 seconds before you had to press the button again. The codes to the bathroom change every Monday, but they don't tell you this in the front office, even when you have a reservation for more than a week. The laundry room was also out of order with no indication of being fixed anytime soon. There is a sign on the door telling you to go to a laundry mat 3 miles down the road. The rate should be adjusted for this. I was also really unhappy with the staff in the office. I had a package sent to me and the package was declined without my knowledge. I wish they would've looked me up. Overall, the location was great and there's potential for this to be a great park, but the service could use improvements.

The beach is directly infront of your site if in water front but during the winter a sand bar is up and blocks all the water so do not pay more for water site in winter. The park isn’t monitored so loud parties are not quieter. Quiet hours not observed. We left day early because of noise , they didn’t allow refund even though we left at check out. So that was disappointing. Remember you are near lax so plane noise is often

Tried to stay here but wasn't even given the opportunity to inquire about details before being run off at entrance. Didn't know it at the time but this was a good indication of how the rest of the area turned out. From here to gas stations and restaurants in Long Beach was a tremendous disappointment. Some reviews here describe a positive experience so I am hesitant to drag them too much, but there's nothing here worth returning to spend money on in my opinion. Your mileage may vary though!

5 stars are for the service. Staff was really helpful. We had problems with accessing our site, and the 2 staff members quickly assigned us a new site right behind the office/building. That was great! Enjoy the lemons!!🍋

This place takes a step downhill each time I visit. Woman showers never get hot. The ‘skylight’ over the women’s showers has been broken for over two years and covered with plastic trash bags that are ripped from the weather. The crew cleans the bathrooms with a hose like it’s a beach bathroom, getting everything wet including toilet paper and cleaning nothing really. Your site will be littered with rubbish. This trip, mine was strewn with used sunflower seeds covering the ground and picnic table. They’ve taken out the laundry facilities, removed the water fill spigot for the dry camp area and removed the barbecues from dry camp sites.

Sites are close but to be expected. Restroo.s are clean but hot water for shower a challenge. The fog was bad so didnt enjoy the beach. Front sites worth it

Came to town for the Chargers game. Perfect overnight RV park! Only 25 minutes to SoFi Stadium.

I will give it a no star if I can. This RV park is terrible. I was mislead by the view, everything else is terrible. It smells really bad, like living in the sewer during the night and it is so close to the airport that it is so noisy during the night. Also, I parked my car (which paid $10 extra per night) one wheel over the line in front of my RV and I got $63 fine. There was no one in the office advising us that the rule is so strict that I can’t go over the line a bit. Don’t understand why I get fined for parking in my own RV space. Very disappointed with the RV park.

We have been going to dockweiler for many years. This park has really went down hill. The grass is overgrown and poop everywhere. We were there for two weeks and they never refilled the poop bags. They do not clean the camp spots in between campers. When we arrived our camp spot had trash and the grill was full of cans. There are many homeless walking around the park and I did not see security one time. In the dry camping area there is a homeless encampment right next to where people are parking. This will be our last trip.

Really perfect rv parking for the first or last nights! Two buldings with bathrooms and wc, also tables for each rv, grill pit, and every place have own beach access. Reccomend rent a bike and travel by it to f.ex. Venice or Santa Monica or even to Hollywood.

I didn’t expect a lot, but even still my expectations weren’t met. The main dumping station is out of order, the laundry facilities and out of order, the bathrooms have been very dirty so far, and tonight when we arrived back the gate code was changed and we weren’t told. Thankfully we were able to track down security who let us in. All of this and a large price tag. Not a lot of options in LA, but we won’t be coming back here again.

Here is my honest opinion of the Dockweiler RV Park. I booked this RV Park as I wanted to get to LA in our family motor home from Texas. I checked in late, not a problem, security was there to assit. As soon as I opened to door and parked I could smell the Recycling plant next door. I was bumbed out but to be honest, that was the only time I was able to smell it. I stayed 4 nights and never bothered me again. The RV Spot was okay, a bit small but you can manage. I was in spot 10, close to the restrooms, showers, which were very clean my entire stay. No complaints there. I stayed the week before Thanksgiving. One of the biggest complaints I read before staying here was the Air Plane Noise. I booked before reading the reviews and once i read them i was tempted to cancel. I am glad I didnt. The airplane noise is loud! After 30 minutes i tuned it out, same with my family and dogs. To be honest that is the only downside to this park. The noise. Once you are in your RV its less, once you turn on your TV you can barely hear it. I love this park because its very close to the beach. My mom, and sister stuggle to walk and they walked about 200 feet to the beach. Huge plus for me. The other awesome thing here were the fire pits in the beach. They are allowed and it was awesome for myself and toddler daughters. The water was okay cool and beach was nice. Something I noted was that I walked over to the store north of the RV Park and I could hear the planes alot more than in my RV spot even the RV beach. Then I walked south of the RV park and the planes were slightly less loud. So when I go back will stay further south, a little less planes noise. I am not sure if there are showers closer to the south I think I may have seen some. Not sure if they were showers, maybe toilets only. I would rate this place a 4 but for the plane noise. I really liked it the only downside for me were the planes, I am sure that with out thanksgiving weekend there are far less planes but with out this its a pretty cool beach. I think your expectation has to come in knowing that you are in a major metropolis, RVing and its prime real estate pretty cheap with a noise factor, the smell for me was none and with in a few days the planes were like ocean waves.

Perfect location. Amazing beauty view. Clean and safety. The restroom hot water shower don’t need quarter. Prepare food and water in advance, there is no vending machine or any store
