The beach here is very nice, and it is right off of some extensive bike trails. You can easily bike to Venice Beach and the Santa Monica Pier if you want to make a day of it.

Great location and not a bad price. The staff are so rude checking in and asking for anything. We asked for a refund for the second day as there were crack heads behind us, and we wanted to leave, and we have 2 small kids. Bathrooms were garbage, I felt dirtier going out than going in.

Okay the other reviews mentioned noise. Eh it was nothing. I live near an airport and planes are no big deal. Yes there is some noise but it really didn't bother me. I would recommend staying at this place because it is so on the back. My granddaughter loved playing in the sand. Lots to see and do. I am going to rent one of the electric bikes that are available right by the campground. People were all very friendly that I have met.

I was skeptical about the cleanliness and safety before we got here, but this is actually a really nice place! Clean brightly lit, the staff is great!! We will definitely be back!! The bike trail is right out front which leads to anything you need in either direction. Recommend having a bike (regular or electric), a vehicle, or catch an Uber.

The slots are clean, but they seem to get smaller and smaller and of course the cost goes higher and higher. It is no longer a restricted area and as such there are now many more thefts of items that were once safe to leave outside your motor home Staff is hit and miss depending on who is in the office sometimes friendly sometimes rude. The scenery is always great

LAX plane noise isn't bad at all. Try living on north side of Nellis AF base in Vegas. Will shake the walls. There is a mountain of sand so u have to walk around to get to beach. 12/23. This place probably rocks in the summer but winter of 23. Pretty bare and only 65+ in the park so pretty quiet.

This is a very expensive campground to not have a view of the ocean. The beach is blocked by a 15 foot berm of sand all across the beach. The women’s showers and bathroom are closed and unrepairable We hear. . Makes for a very difficult jaunt all the way across the campground for women to use the facilities.the showers only have cold water. Great for rinsing off your feet, but no warm water for taking a good shower. The laundry facilities are a mess. Machines are broken, the floor is muddy, and it obviously hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. You don’t find anything about this until you have arrived and already paid a huge fee to stay. If you want to see the beach park on the fire, end of the campground and you can see around the berm a little bit to the water.

The RV park has a hookup area and a dry camping area. The hookups are full of large rigs, very close one with another, in a parking lot style. The dry camp provides much more space, but only relatively small RVs. Pros: The park is right next to the beach, walk 1 minute and you're there. There's also a bike path that goes for miles both north or south - great for an early workout. Restrooms are clean and have showers. Cons: You will hear each and every if the planes taking off from LAX, but at one point you don't hear them anymore. It was not really annoying, but that flight at 5a was...

2 major downsides here.... NO wifi, and poor cell service. and non stop jet traffic overhead. If they had wifi it would help with the cell service. but great to be by the beach and firepits. bikes and scooter rentals nearby. if they get wifi I would go back.

Dockweiler has the potential to be a wonderful destination. If they could tweak a few things. |Here are a few Pros and Cons:|PROS: 1. On the beach |Cons: 1. sites a bite narrow, 2. Hook up stations are at the front of site rather then rear, 3. There are 118 full hookup sites plus the non hookup sits and only one restroom at far end of campground (men’s has 1 toilet)|4. There is another restroom adjacent to office, we were told they are out of order but we saw employees and security using it at all hours of day. 5. The campground is across the street from a large sewage treatment plant (the smell can be horrendous) 6. Staff mentioned to have all bikes etc locked there is a homeless ongoing thrift issue. 7. To keep homeless from using restrooms and or sleeping in them they have a keypad but the women’s door was unhinged the entire time we were there. 8. No guest parking, they must park at State park for $7 and walk 1/2-1 miles to campground. 9. At $75 a night it is over priced. 10. Little or no cell phone reception. 11. (Not the campgrounds fault) One night at 1:00am a car lost control on main highway above campground and rolled down. Landed on Chevy truck moved it from the impact and totaled a Ford truck. If those trucks were not there the car would had struck several RV’s and injured or killed several people sleeping.

Beachfront yes, but noisiest campsite ever! Right in the LAX flight path. Planes going over constantly, even at 3am. And it’s right next to a sewage treatment plant so stinky as well. The site is clean, bathrooms average. Wouldn’t recommend.

Clean RV park at a great location. Sites are tight and it takes some time to get used to the airplanes flying above every few minutes. But you’re right on the beach and next to the bike path that takes you to Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo towards South and to Venice and Santa Monica towards North. You can even rent electric bikes for cheap right next to the RV park. We loved the bike rides with the family, especially on The Strand going South. Fisherman’s Village in Marina Del Rey is also worth visiting. We didn’t use any facilities so no comments on that. Overall, we loved the park and are definitely coming back.

Stayed three nights and it wasn't bad at all. Right on the beach, and a full hook up site. My only gripe was that the sites were VERY tight and your neighbor's electric and water pedestal was right at your front door. Employees of the city were there each morning at 6 cleaning the restrooms and a few were walking the park picking up trash. Yes, there are constant jets taking off every few minutes due to being right under the flight path of LAX, but after a little while it didn't bother me at all. One loud group of adults across the street was more annoying than the jets, but overall it was a very unique place to enjoy the ocean.

Stayed three nights and it wasn't as bad as a lot of these other reviews. Yes, there are constant jets taking off because you're under the LAX glide path, but after a while it made no difference to me. The stroll to the ocean takes no time, and the beach is nice. There were LA employees that came to clean the restrooms every morning at 6, and also picked up trash around the park. My only gripes are that the spaces are extremely tight and I needed an extra eye to help me back in. Once in there, it's very cramped, but not uncomfortable. The other is there was a VERY loud group that had one guy holler every word he said. This went well into the evening and was very annoying. However there were plenty of families sitting, relaxing and enjoying their stay just as they should and I"m glad I was able to spend some time here.
