Our camping club, the Sunny Peaches, about 15 + units, was able to camp here around the middle of February. The campgrounds had been hit by a very destructive 🌪 tornado in the early part of January. Yet they managed to have enough sites back up and running for all of us, plus the clubhouse that, as far as I know, only sustained minimal damage. There was still ongoing repair work to the grounds and other individual sites, but it was done without any inconvenience to those of us campers.

Didn't feel like a resort at all. It seems all the sites were facing the wrong way. The pond was in front of camp site. No view and noise from Hwy 90 that goes by the resort. Too expensive for site.

If you are looking for inspiration, this is the place. Oct 2018 Hurricane Matthew totaled the campground (then known as Arrowhead) a few days after the new owner purchased. Fast forward 5-1/2 years. Shortly after completion of new cabins, on January 9, 2024, an F-2 tornado blew apart the RV Park. No one was killed but several were seriously hurt. |Our RV Rally group, the Peach State Allegros, were scheduled for an RV Rally 5 weeks after the tornado hit. Did we need to find another place to hold our rally? There is no other RV Park that could have picked up the pieces so quickly to accommodate our group of 15 rigs. How did they pull this off? The owner, property manager, and every volunteer that helps run this beautiful, peaceful place have their heart and soul in this property. They are amazing. |Our group encourages everyone to check out this special place, spend some time talking with the remarkable folks that lived through the tornado and helped bring this park back to life. Enjoy Merritt’s Mill Pond, the wildlife, take a canoe or kayak trip down the 5-6 mile pond fed by 6 freshwater springs. Watch the turtles basking in the sun off the docks.||Enjoy life here.

This is not a resort. We have stayed at resorts, this isn’t it. This is an older park that hasn’t been updated in a while. The luxury pull through space we rented is made for a bus. We have a 5th wheel so we weren’t allowed to pull in so that we had a view of the lake with our big window. Our luxury pull through spot we paid extra for didn’t even have a picnic table. The roads you ride into the park on are broken up blacktop. There are other places in town you can stay that are cheaper and the same as this. The quiet time that is enforced at most parks obviously isn’t in effect at this one as our neighbor was out at 6:30 blowing off his patio and woke us up. Then went back inside and went back to sleep so it wasn’t like he was leaving. None of my review is reflective of the tornado damage. That was taken into account with this review.

Stayed one night. Checkin was easy and the site was very nice. Sad to see all the damage from the tornado. Would stay again when we are back down this way.

We are heartbroken over the damage caused by the recent tornado! We stayed 6 months last year at this time. We were amazed with all the work & improvements that went on daily. With their staff, work ethic and motivation, I know it will be great again! Prayers for a better & brighter future ❤️

We were heading back to Oklahoma…We happen to pick the very night to stay here that a tornado hit at 6:30am the next morning! All of the staff here have been super nice and caring. Even though most live here and we’re dealing with their own losses. Restaurants around town have been donating food as well as the owner of the RV park. People from town have graciously come out to help clean up. We were trapped in MH because of a electrical pole holding our door shut. The employees from the Federal correctional institute help remove it. An unknown stranger named Mark, cut branches to clear a path. The fire dept came around within an hour of the tornado making sure all was well at each site. Thank you Marianna Florida for being such kind and caring people. Our stay in your town will aways be a VERY memorable experience.

Pete took great care of us the entire trip. Helped us to our site, and made sure we had everything we needed. He made our stay enjoyable from start to finish.

NOT a resort. Just because the word “resort” is in the name doesn’t make it one. It looks like an old, run down park with one big update: A new row of pull-through sites w/ asphalt ramps leading to a concrete pad and new hookups. The pull-throughs are the only improvements in park. I paid over $100 to stay on a premium pull-through. But if you are like, 35’ or longer, unless you want to leave your rear jacks at the park, you will have to back out. All but 2 of the premium sites are like that. Plus, you are facing the wrong direction and angled incorrectly to enjoy a view of the lake. The “roads” inside the park are old, narrow broken up strips of pavement. They’re navigable-no obstructions- but go very very slow. The pool is old and small. The bathouse was closed and wrapped in yellow “danger” tape. The only redeeming feature is the lake. You can walk a 100 yards and enjoy the view. I’ve paid less money to stay in actual resorts. We were not happy campers.

We enjoyed our stay at this nice campground by the lake. We stayed a month there and had a beautiful view of the lake. We will definitely be back. Everyone was nice and the grounds was kept clean.

Staff friendly and outgoing. Premium sites are level with concrete pad and asphalt apron. Dual water spigot at the site. Bathhouses are clean! Nice pool, clubhouse, mini golf, docks at lake etc. Within a couple miles , there is a Walmart Supercenter with fuel, Winn Dixie grocery store and Auto Parts store and various eating establishments in the area. Would definitely use this campground as an overnight stay again.

The campground was very convenient. Close to Florida caverns state park. Drive thru sites which was convenient for my sons 42 foot 5th wheel. The only complaint I have is that the showers in the bathhouse are not usable. They knob for the water was a push button one like in public sinks . The water would come on for about 5 seconds and you had to push again. There was also no way to adjust the water . Ridiculous for a shower. I have no problem with this on the sinks but made the showers u usable. Thank goodness we had a good shower in our camper.

Won't be going back! Upon returning from dinner the "luxury" RV we rented smelled so badly of sewer that we had to spend the first night sleeping with the windows open for fear of sewer gas poisoning. The office was already closed when we noticed the issue so we had to wait until the next morning to talk with the office staff. After numerous complaints and maintenance staff trying to fix the problem with a half gallon of bleach they did finally relocate us to a different RV but that was only after we informed them we did not feel it was safe to sleep in that RV. It also took 3 weeks and 5 phone calls to finally get our $150 security deposit returned. Not a good experience at all!!

Don’t buy weather insurance! Policy of determining refund way too misleading in sales portion. Their 5 hour “forecast” never one aligned with the actual rain experienced. We were in a hurricane for gods sake ! Internet was out for entire stay. Restaurant advertised as in walking distance was not open hours posted or on one day not open at all. Lake infested with duck weed that smells

We rented a luxury cabin for a few days and it was just perfect. The property was so well maintained and anything we needed was taken care of immediately. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back and telling all of our friends as well.
