Great campground. I do miss the inflatable slide though, that was awesome. I also think some pickleball courts would be an awesome addition here with its rapid growth in popularity. Plus the courts don’t take up as much space as tennis courts. And y’all could rent out paddles/balls for free for the people who didn’t bring their own. Overall, great place located right next to an even better place.

Absolutely ridiculous they want an additional $40 fee to hold the campground I selected. Never have I seen a campsite do this. Money hungry and greedy is all that it. Anywhere else site selection is included in cost. Pathetic. I’ll be looking elsewhere. After that $40 it’s the same as a motel room.

Every year they raise the price. They find the dumbest reasons to do so. $50.00 a night to tent camp, So 100.00 for the weekend. Now here is where it gets fun. They charge you an extra 30.00 for a "resort fee" I'm sleeping on the ground smh, AND THEN once you pick your campsite they want an extra 40.00 to guarantee that site. LMAO WHAT!?? Some of these tent sites are on a hill ECT terrible. Before sun and fun outdoors bought this place it was AMAZING... I refuse to fall in line and spend that sort of money to tent camp. INSANE

We take our RV here once or twice a year. The grounds are nice, they have a variety of things to do including a small arcade, fishing, tarils, putt putt, pools, water slides and the campers decorate for Halloween. They offer cabins for rent as well.

This campground is a great location right next to Holiday World. It is a little cramped with the amount of sites very close together. They also rent golf carts and it is a mad house with the kids and adults driving them around extremely fast and late into the night with stereos playing. We loved the amenities and the ability to get to the theme park but we did not like the noise level after quiet hours plans the non policing of the golf cart usage. If we go back to holiday world, we would still stay because of the convenience, but it is just too crowded and too many golf carts.

Our family has been coming to Camp Rudolph for the Halloween festives for close to ten years. This was the first year that there was a threat of severe weather. In order to prepare and help keep our family safe, we all have small children (we all live in different parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana) we started calling Suns Out Door Thursday early to see if there was a plan for severe weather. After all, who wants to lose $3000 or even be exposed to severe hurricane weather. NOT one call was answered on September 26 at any time during working business hours. When the phone line to the camp ground was not answered, we called the main Sun Resort’s number many times only to be insulted. I was told someone from the camp ground would call me. That never happened. We were given the insulting run around. Your company failed majorly. Majorly. All you had to do was put out a blanket statement to allow guests to rest easy concerning their reservations. I called other major camp grounds and discovered in the event of severe weather, what the protocols were followed. Suns Outdoor should have been the one relaying this message. I work for a large-scale camper/RV company in the sales department and I promise you I will ensure that all my customers are aware of your poor customer service. I will mention the lack of cleanliness in the cabins, the black mold that is growing around the vents, the fleas in the bedding and bath tub, and how unorganized and untrained your company is in events such a severe weather. After you have shown the lack of training your employees hold with the threat of weather, imagine how unsafe and unorganized your company would be if severe weather hit. I hope you use this as learning experience. Train your employees. As for our family, you owe us a huge apology and we are expecting it. Unfortunately, I not sure if you will ever win our business back.

Unfortunately once Sun took over the prices have skyrocketed. Not worth it anymore. This is our last year. The vacancies show they are suffering and losing to other camp grounds in the area which are still at the $40/night compared to $229/night (we are being charged) after fees for a 50 amp pad. This will be our final family Holiday world Halloween tradition. 17 years is a good run. Òvercharging, over fees, resort fee Jan 1, lock in fee and base fee. Never again. Starting a new Halloween tradition 2025. Our group has 7 spots on this weekend. 2 of our campers cancelled already. Someone else will get our business next year.

Prices have gotten out of hand since sun took over. We actually heard a ranger say he was going to kick some kids a** which to which kids were way under age. The $500 weekend rental had pieces of trim broke, windows broke, burnt out light bulbs, and a shower that overflowed into the kitchen. Really needs to get things updated if they continue to keep prices their high.

Everyone working here is very nice and friendly but the cabins are NOT worth the price even with a promo! The Christmas cabins need MAJOR cleaning/ repairs or just to be replaced completely. The floors of our cabin were filthy… like they have not been mopped all year. The a/c unit on the loft has mold in it and needs to be replaced completely. The kitchen pots and pans need to be tossed. They were unusable. There are no pot holders. The stove/ oven needs a deep cleaning. The shower is not adult friendly. Our fridge barely stayed cold and made horrible noises. The bathroom has mold on the shower curtains and all around the edge of the tub/ shower and floor. Overall, the Christmas cabin is just dingy, dirty, and old. If they want to continue charging such high fees they really need to step up on the maintenance and cleanliness. Also, we were here for Halloween weekends and the tram to holiday world wasn’t running. That was an inconvenience.

We go here for Spooky Season each year. It's a fun tradition and the kids have a great time doing all the Halloween activities.

Hazardous utilities: the water valve comes out just a few inches from the electrical outlet which is an accident waiting to happen, especially with children The free mini golf was a highlight. the countless children driving golf carts blasting music on speakers going past your tent at all hours of the night are a bit agitating. Wish they would’ve enforced a quiet time and age limits for the carts.

We stayed at the RV Park. Super clean, and the staff were outstanding. The shuttle took us right to the front of Holiday World and picked us up. There’s an arcade and rock mining at the RV park. So fun for the kids! I’d stay again if we went back to Holiday World.

We have enjoyed 2 great camping experiences at Lake Rudolph. The sites are spacious, the campground is clean, the atmosphere is Family friendly and the staff is very friendly. On our last visit, Jackie (in the gift shop) took time to explain fishing onsite and even gave us a few tips!
