We had a great time in the cabins! Really enjoyed the golf cart parade. Since I knew we were headed to Santa Claus, I brought all of our Christmas bedding to make it more fun. Things to know- bring your own bedding, definitely get a golf cart, bring stuff to decorate said golf cart. The shuttle bus takes you right to the front of Holiday World. It's great. The pool and water slides they have within the campground is great, too.

We camp here several times a year. Halloween is always our favorite. Kids love riding their bikes and scooters around the grounds and you can now bring your own Golf Cart, before you couldnt. They always have a golf cart parade one night during the weekends which is always a blast.

We rented a cabin here for 1 night. First all we didn't know there wasn't any sheet or towels. Neither ac unit worked. Blew out air but wouldn't get cold. So we were so hot trying to sleep. The beds were absolutely the worse beds I've been laid on. Almost went to vehicle to sleep. Campground looked great so next time we go to holiday world we will definitely bring the camper.

I am so disappointed in the cabin portion of our stay this past weekend. At over $300 per night which is equal to a VERY nice stay in a city... this cabin was rated a 1. I'm giving the stay 2 stars because we enjoy the Halloween activities. We have always stayed in our camper, but we sold it last year, so this was the first and likely last year we will pay the price for a dirty, old and poorly stocked cabin. This place is a gold mine and recently purchased by a resort company- DO BETTER! the fitted sheet was so thin and dirty- good thing we brought our own. The floors- I can't even explain how dirty they were and the couch was old, dirty and not even comfortable to sit on. I could barely cook food because the supplies were so bare- a single small frying pan and 2-3 sauce pans is not even enough to cook a meal while washing dishes in between each item being cooked. The knives were so old I destroyed the apples and peppers I tried to cut.... and there was no cutting board so I had to use a plate. There wasn't enough cups for the 8 people we had and only exactly 8 for the plates and bowls and silverware. I don't even have high expectations and only came to read reviews to see if I was being overly critical... I realize they have a wait list every year so they don't have to improve or do better, but people will stop coming if you don't improve your facilities. This was highly disappointing. We were 2 adults and 6 girls (12 year old's) and with a golf cart and 2 nights we paid just shy of $900. Ridiculous honestly!

Love this campground. Great staff, many amenities and activities, and a beautiful property. To take your fun to the next level, rent a golf cart. It really makes the adventure so much more fun. Take some kit with you to decorate the golf cart and drive around at night fully decorated. It’s a blast.

We spent 4th of July weekend 2022 at the campground. Tent site was awesome. Shaded with no super close neighbors. The campground was amazing. Activities for kids every day, free mini golf, GREAT POOL and water slides! Friendly staff. It was all good. My whole family LOVED IT. The prices at the camp store were reasonable, the bathhouses were always clean and stocked. I highly recommend this campground. Be sure to get a golf cart - The place is massive! Suggest you bring decorations for it too! There is a gold cart parade that was a lot of fun!

This was our fourth trip to LR. We really enjoy coming here and the amenities. The townsfolk are super nice, too. This was the first time we stayed in a Holiday Cottage, 212 D, and I wasn’t impressed. The couch was ripped in a few places (I have pics) the coffee pot wasn’t clean, the floors were dirty and the bunk style mattresses were not comfortable. There’s black mold growing in the bathroom. The queen bed was good though. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I think you need to do an evaluation of the furniture in the cabins as that was unacceptable at the rate we paid to stay. We opted for a newer cabin, a Christmas Cottage next year in the hopes the furniture will be in better shape.

Our family stayed in Cabin 276D. The cabin was disgustingly dirty. I mopped the floor with lysol wipes and have a picture if you really want it posted. We washed our own feet and wore shoes the rest of our stay. The couch vinyl was badly torn on all sides. The entrance rug was filthy. The microwave was dirty, Our water heater did not work and had to be replaced during our first day. After installation, there was blood streaked on the light switches going to the breaker box. Our golf cart would not hold a charge, and we finally had to replace it with a new cart. This was our first impression. For the tremendous amount of money this unit cost per day, these issues are unacceptable. The queen size bed was on a raw piece of plywood that if you touched would leave splinters. The sheet you provided only covered the stains on the mattress, luckily I brought my own bedding. Unfortunately all of these issues were enough for us to not enjoy our stay. For $276.00 per night and I have to bring everything, I will not be coming back.

My family of 7 & I spent 2 nights here & it was perfect! We spent 2 days at Holiday World & I picked this place because they were the closest. We didn’t use the free shuttle service but that was a really nice option! It runs continuously to holiday world throughout park hours. There were 3 adults & 4 children in my group & we rented the Family Cabin which was the perfect size! The loft upstairs had 4 twin mattresses, one for each kids. They only come with fitted sheets so bring top sheets. The loft is hotter than downstairs so bring a box fan maybe or just make sure your AC is all the way cold & blowing! The mattresses were a little uncomfortable up there but they are kids so they didn’t care! Better than on the ground in a tent I said. My husband and I shared the pull out sleeper sofa which wasn’t the most comfortable but like I said better than in a tent 😅. The main bedroom was really nice & comfortable though! The night man at the gate was super friendly, we loved interacting with him! He was very funny with our kids & made jokes about a guy in a hockey mask running around at night which we really loved because our son LOVES JASON! We checked in really late almost midnight & he was very informative & had a ranger escort us to our cabin. That was especially helpful because it was super dark & we could’ve never found it without that! Make sure you bring your own top linens & towels, & soaps for the shower. We can’t wait to stay here again next time we come to Holiday World & next time hopefully for more than 2 nights! Thank you Sun Outdoors!

Sadly, the only good thing about our experience is how close it is to Holiday World. The cabin we rented was NOT what we expected. The mattresses were uncomfortable and you could feel every spring. The bed we slept on up in the loft had candy wrappers, glow sticks, broken sunglasses and who knows what else beside it. The couch was so broken down that we couldn’t even sit comfortably because the two cushions on the end completely sunk towards the middle. I wiped up water that was spilled on the floor and the paper towel came back black after wiping the floor. There were also sooo many dead bugs all over the place. What was supposed to be a fun, relaxing place after a long day walking around the amusement park was not comfortable or relaxing at all. If we didn’t live several hours away we would have left.

Regarding Lake Rudolph campgrounds whose website now states Sun, the venue is frequently at capacity, golf cart availability limited, and older rv rentals a bit worn. It is tough to monitor youths roaming the campground unsupervised but in this environment is commonplace and as personally experienced some are mischievous. We have visted as part of Holiday World activities as well as Halloween. The campground store is fairly well stocked and there's some scheduled social events throughout the day. We've also stayed in the cabins which were well constructed but very cramped and probably sized for a couple asults plus a couple small youths. Can be a crowded place, so be prepared for traffic throughout the facility.

Christmas light show was great. Probably best I’ve seen.

The campground is very nice - beautiful and the staff is helpful. The golf cart makes the trip much more fun. Unfortunately, the camper/RV we rented was disgusting. It smelled horrible and was filthy with bugs. The bugs were mostly on the mattress, walls and ceilings of the bedroom. The table was filthy and everything had to be wiped down. I had meant to bring paper towels, but when my friend had a roll in her camper, I was relieved. However, we didn't get any paper towels for ours. All silverware HAD to be washed prior to using and the wipes used for the hard surface areas came away black. I don't even want to think about the floor. It was so bad, we slept in our SUV and left a night early- checked out and turned in golf cart early. So I paid for 2 nights and only stayed one and then only used the toilet and refrigerator. We won't be back. very disappointing. UODATE: I was told the camper was very old and is going to be replaced soon. I was refunded the cost.

This was our second year going for the Halloween weekends. We love it and our kids really love it. So much that we already booked next year. Our only complaint is the golf cart situation. We couldnt get a golf cart this year and when we booked for next year we were told they didn't have any available. I understand that the Halloween weekends are huge and decorating golf cards is a big thing but not having at least 1 golf cart for each camp site is a big disappointment. The campground is huge and walking it is quite the feat. At the least have a golf cart available for every camp site and then if the guest decide they don't want a golf cart allow someone else to rent it. Or allow people to bring their own golf carts. We even saw someone driving their own side by side around at one point.

Just returned from Halloween weekend which we have attended for many years in a row. Some camp and some rent cabins. The only complaint I have is the golf cart situation. They did not do a waiting list this year and we needed to attend on this weekend. So supposed to call to check if any available. I called at least 100 times but did not get a golf cart. I think they went back to waiting list for 2022. Thank goodness! We reserved a weekend for 2022 that had available golf cart . I think it would be hard to enforce but tons of golf carts appeared to be driven by underaged kids. My daughter stayed in a tent and the rangers were chasing golf carts after 11pm.(Quiet time). Not sure reason parents are not stepping up and making kids follow the rules. We have never had a dirty cabin. It was quiet after 11 in the cabin. The staff is very nice and accommodating and the kid and family activities are great. Love the trick or treating. We always stay in the Holiday Cottages and have never had a problem. The price is outrageous but once a year is doable.
